Persuasive Essay On Spirit Day
Everyday Spirit Days Having uniforms or no uniforms is a controversial topic amongst schools. However, the idea of Spirit Wear is both
comfortable but also looks professional with uniform bottoms, serving as a compromise. Spirit Wear also shows a student's style and provides more
options to clothing. Finally, it would receive positive feedback from students as it did when it was first allowed every Friday. Spirit Wear should be
optional everyday because uniforms are uncomfortable, spirit wear allows more options to show personality, and are already allowed on Fridays.
Uniforms are considered uncomfortable which can cause students to be unfocused. When asked what he thought about uniforms and their comfort,
Richard Calleros from Child of God Lutheran 7th Grade says, "Correct, they are uncomfortable. Uniforms itch and can hurt, so we may not stay
focussed on an assignment with uncomfortable clothing." Another 7th Grader from the same school, Isaiah Smith, chimed in, "I think uniforms are very
uncomfortable, itchy, and scratchy because of the collar. The pants are also stiff too." Both students agree that uniforms are uncomfortable, thus,
showing Spirit Day tee–shirts may be a simple alternative to comfort. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The options of uniforms are slim, but a wider range of Spirit Wear shows your style. As explained by Richard Calleros, "Of course, spirit wear reflects
what you like to wear and how dedicated you are to the school." Having several positive reactions, Richard has taken part in buying the new Nike
and Adidas spirit wear. Mia Fransos in the same class says, "Yes! Spirit wear still looks professional and provides an option to what you want to wear."
Students enjoy looking proper but also want a wider selection of clothes for school, making Spirit Wear an easy

American Tv Downfall
Downfall of American TV
According to Stevie Hossler, "Too many children are watching too much television and the shows that they are watching (even if they are cartoons)
have become violent and addictive." (ethos) Prime time animated cartoons give young children a false sense of what real life is about. Unless
networks are willing to readdress their social responsibilities as providers of entertainment for young society, television should boycott these types of
shows. Television channels that used to show good family values like "Full House" or "Parenthood", networks now have replaced them with shows like
"The Simpsons", "Family Guy", and "American Dad". Cartoons on television glorify violence, influence children to have no respect for ... Show more

("Are My Kids' Favorite Cartoons Too Political?")(pathos) Prime time animated cartoons tend to glorify violence and teach children that it is more of
a game than it is serious. According to Mark Joseph Stern, "When California tried to ban the sale of violent video games to minors, the Supreme Court
mocked its efforts, noting that old Looney Tunes cartoons provoked the same tendency toward violence in children as a Grand Theft Auto–style
bloodbath." (Stern)(ethos) For instance, in "The Simpsons", when Bart and Lisa watch "Itchy and Scratchy", Scratchy always dies and Bart and
Lisa laugh, which results in teaching kids that manslaughter is alright. Cartoons these days are desensitizing kids towards violence. Researchers
have proven that, "Today's animation and games are so realistic it can be hard for kids to tell the difference between 'pretend' violence and live
action, making some animation just as disturbing as the real thing." ("Does Cartoon Violence Make Kids More Aggressive?")(ethos) Take "Tom
and Jerry" for instance, this animated cartoon is designed for five year olds. "Tom and Jerry" was reviewed as three out of five stars for violence
and scariness, as well as two out of five stars for drinking, drugs, and smoking from Common Sense Media. (Sheppard)(logos) Although these shows

Essay on Zeitgeist
Zeitgeist Its acquaintance is inevitable so good luck at trying to escape from it. Zeitgeist is the spirit of the age, as the dictionary defines it to be, but
in my own terms it is the paranoia or 'scream' of a given epoch. For instance, the international fads like high–speed Internet, diminutive cell phones that
miraculously slide and fit comfortably in your jean pocket, and convenient photo–taking digital cameras reflect the zeitgeist of many developed
countries of the past decade. We see these items all over place on expressway billboards and during the two–minute commercial breaks that disrupt

By this blob inhabiting our carpeted floors, families absorb all of media's controversies and hot tittle–tattles – presidential sex scandals, suburban gangs,
the deadly disease that is going to infect you next, and everything else that will make you run upstairs and lock the door. Enrenreich also informs us
that the blob can no longer be stopped for it is everywhere and far out of reach to be confined. "Then, for the first time in human history, hundreds of
millions of individual minds were wired together in a single teleneurological system, inhabiting a self–contained universe of image and jingle and
slogan." (151) It's unfortunately true. We function in life based on what we have learned from the media. For example, before the arrival of the new
millennium, from one news reporter to the next, word about Y2K's computer bug and the shutdown of all electrical systems horrified the world. Lines
at supermarkets looked like army parades with their aligned frantic customers loading up on bottled water and batteries. The public has become so
adapted to similar images of drama and fear that it now constantly produces more commotion after the previous crisis. It's simply a

Benefits Of Medicare Patients Receiving An Epidural
A study conducted from 1997 to 2006 shows an increase of Medicare patients receiving an epidural of one hundred and two percent per 100,000
people (Manchikanti). Epidurals allow the blockade of discomfort in a specific area with an injection of an anesthetic directly into the epidural space,
located along the spinal column just below the spinal cord; however, the goal of this administration route is not to eliminate total lack of feeling but to
provide the patient with relief from strain so they may continue their activities of daily living. Pain, the body's number one defense mechanism,
transmits signals through nerves to the final destination of the brain. By blocking irritated nerve signals with an epidural, the mind and body can relax.
Narcotics, an alternative option for uneasiness, only last for a limited amount of time and require frequent administration, while epidurals possess a
longer mechanism of action and only require a one–time injection. Therefore, it remains as the primary line of method of pain alleviation for labor.
Epidurals provide effective pain relief for expectant mothers without causing harm to her or the newborn baby, which has, caused a dramatic increase
in the popularity of epidurals over the past decade.
Though rare, during the 1800s, doctors would administer substances into the spinal column to block pain signals traveling through the nerves.
Interestingly, the standard opiate used during that time period incorporated the ingredient cocaine;

The Success of the Simpsons
The Improbable Long–Term Success of The Simpsons
When examining the history of modern prime–time television, there is a certain pattern that virtually every successful show inevitably falls into. After
a period of initial success, perhaps lasting three or four years, the writing on the show becomes stale by using the same format and same jokes over and
over. The viewing audience becomes bored, and eventually, the show fades into television oblivion. Or, as Jeff MacGregor states in The New York
Times, "Historically...(successful shows) collapse under the weight of their own complacency, hanging on for a few lifeless seasons while the producers
wait to cash out their millions and move to Maui." Based on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The older portion of the viewers takes additional pleasure in recognizing the allusion to the famous horror film. Another simple example of multilevel
humor features Homer sitting on the couch, while another Homer walks past the outside window. Although it takes place in a matter of seconds, this
scene is one of countless silly but curiously sensational quirks that makes the show "a masterpiece of tiny, throw–away details that accumulate into a
worldview."
Because the producers of The Simpsons understand the current industry guidelines for humor and political correctness, they are able to create humor
by bluntly crossing these presumed socially acceptable boundaries, while still sending a positive message. One frequently addressed subject on the
show is religion, which is a normally sensitive issue on television. The Simpsons, however tackles religious thought head–on. In one episode, Homer
skips church on a particularly cold, snowy Sunday and has the best day of his life. After making his "patented, space–age, out–of–this world Moon
Waffles" (melted caramel and waffle batter wrapped around a stick of butter), he watches football on T.V. and, upon finding a penny on the ground,
asks aloud, "Could this be the best day of my life?" After visualizing, among other things, his wedding day,

The Success of The Simpsons
In recent years, a certain animated sitcom has caught the public's attention, evoking reactions that are both favourable and unfavourable, but hardly
ever apathetic.
As a brilliant, socially aware satire, Matt Groening's 'The Simpson's' has effectively stirred different emotions from different factions of the culturally
deadened American populace and for this alone, it should be recognised as quality programming. The Simpsons is a brutal satire of our society and our
family structures yet it offers several redeeming qualities such as feminism, endurance and most of all humour.

The fact that the show works on several levels at once draws a generational diverse fan base. The adults are attracted by the surprisingly sophisticated
dialogue, while the children enjoy the clumsy antics of Homer and the traditionally "cartoonish" aspects of the programme.
The Simpson's themselves are a simple family in a small town in Middle America called Springfield. They are: Homer (loyal but stupid father), Marge
(dissatisfied, trapped housewife/ mother), Bart (rebellious son), Lisa (unappreciated genius daughter), and Maggie (silent baby). The show also
revolves around a number of other characters.
The members of the family have their own quirks and are constantly feuding amongst themselves. The hilarious show portrays the ups and downs of the
Simpson's which real families are said to relate with, to a certain to degree. The highly provocative sitcom has revolutionised cartoons and has bought
humour and mixed feelings to a new audience than previously brought before.
The fact that all the characters in The Simpsons have four fingers shows that they are all unique and unified community despite age and race, this also
makes a good statement. The skin colour is attractive to young viewers but also has meaning to older viewers, and different parts of the show are
aimed at different audiences.

Essay on The Simpsons
The Simpsons
The Simpsons is an original, satirical American sitcom cartoon, which is shown all over the world and appeals to a wide range of audiences with its
unique, yet basic form of humour. It stereotypes and satirises the typical American lower middle class family. With its simple plots, exaggerated
situations, unrealistic scenarios, lurid colours, humour, animation and familiar pattern, it is a typical cartoon but with an original twist. This makes it
like no other cartoon made before, the twist is the level of humour used in the Simpsons, and this type of humour is called satire. There are many other
types of humour involved in the Simpsons, but satire plays a large role in it The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marge is also like Wilma in that they are both housewives, really care for their children and aspire to be the perfect wife. Another thing that has linked
on is that quite often the naming of the families is used as the name of the show/programme for example, The Simpsons, The Jetsons and the
Flintstones.
The Flintstones did a spin–off series and created a different sitcom that was almost identical to the jokes and the theme, but it was set in the space age.
The only way that Flintstones and the Jetsons are different to the way in which the Simpsons works, is the type of humour used. The Simpsons
humour is a lot more complex and has clever jokes; it satirises and makes a joke about political, literary, and cultural values of Americaand the rest of
the world. Whereas the Flintstones and Jetsons just make a joke about the time which they are set in (stone age and space age) and the artefacts they
use and twist them to be funny. For example in the Flintstones they use a lawn mower which is really a pterodactyl which cuts the grass and speaks.
This is why the Simpsons is revolutionary, also because no cartoon sitcom has ever been done of just satirising the typical American

Why is The Simpsons so Popular?
The Simpsons is often viewed as a stupid television show that wastes people's time and kills brain cells while at it. Often viewed as inappropriate
and violent, The Simpsons is an effective form of satire to bring about change in society. As many know, Marge and Homer are the main characters
along with Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Marge and Homer represent the good vs. bad parent. In one episode, Maggie hits Homer on the head with a
mallet because she saw Itchy hit Scratchy on the head with a mallet. Marge takes it upon herself to get violent cartoons banned. She sends many
letters to the corporation but they just ignore it and keep doing what they do because to them, Marge is a nobody. But Marge insists and makes the
issue big so finally they turn Itchy and Scratchy to a harmless TV show. Kids get bored with it and play outside. There are so many good examples of
satire in this episode. First, it shows how kids are easily influenced by television shows, and if they are shown something bad, they may go out and
do it in real life (shown when Maggie hits Homer in the head). This concept on how violence on TV ruins kids is insane. If taught right from wrong,
children will know not to do bad thing from TV. Another example of satire is how big companies or corporations don't give two craps on what people
think. Unless they are big or famous, their opinion is irrelevant. This connects 100% with the real world. Homer represents the parents who really
doesn't care as much what

The androgens affect males by controlling the onset of puberty, biological fertility etc and the estrogens are important to females hormones which
control the timing of biological maturity and menstruation. Girls exposed to higher levels of androgen are defeminized in sex type interests, abilities
and behaviour, but not core gender identity.
"Some studies by John Money and his colleagues have been made of girls whose mothers received excessive amounts of androgens during pregnancy
(to reduce the likelihood of miscarriage) .The babies developed Androgential Syndrome. As they grew they tended to be more aggressive and
"tomboyish", and less feminine. They preferred male activities with male company and expressed more interest in a career than in having a family."
(G.C Davenport, ESSENTIAL PSYCHOLOGY, chapter five, page 116.)
When a child is born their gender role (set of expectations to say how they should think, act, feel.) is based on their gender identity (sense of being
male/female), which is usually based on what sex the child's genitalia reflects.
When we look at children who have Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, it is interesting to see that some individuals develop in a feminine direction and
acquire a sense of identity as female but others are brought up as males. The child's upbringing was based purely on judgements about their genitals,

The character that is stereotyped is known as Apu. For long periods, the viewers and writers did not know that he was not a real figure but rather a
stereotyped character. His main role is to provoke a laugh from the jokes. Considerately, people argue that the reason why it was difficult to identify
the character as figurative or not is because all the details are filtered using a white lens. The actor whose voice is used to represent that of Apu is also
a white man and a large part of the writers of "The Simpsons" that depicts a significant contribution to "The Front" episode and comprises of the whites
hence that would be another reason for the constraints in identification of the stereotyped character. In essence, the voice is an impression of a white
guy who seems to make fun of a father (Singh, 2014). The use of Apu as a stereotype expresses the manner in which two different cultures can come
together and engage in particular processes. Ideally, this is seen in the sense that the character is an Indian having descendent from the southern region
of Asia. Through this, it would also be easy to depict the varying cultural practices and experiences across different communities. Therefore, the
problems that affect them within the society would be established

Research shows that using softened water reduces the time required for cleaning, and reduces the amount of cleaning product required, including
shampoo and bath soap. Benjamin Franklin's professional plumbers in Sugar Land can provide water softener installation in your home.
How it Works
A water softener works on the principle of ion exchange. The negatively charged resin beads attract the positively charged minerals contained in hard
water, holding the minerals while release sodium in the exchange. The process reduces the amount of hard minerals in the water.
After some time, the beads are full of hard water minerals, and a sodium solution washes the beads releasing the minerals down the drain. The process
is known as regeneration. The amount of salt released into household water is minimal. The exact amount depends on the amount of hard water
minerals present in the water. The higher the mineral content, the higher the amount of sodium released into the household water supply.
The amount is typically minimal, approximately only 4% of the RDA of sodium in a typical

Summary Of Abortion By Anne Sexton
In Anne Sexton's poem "The Abortion", she uses literary devices to reflect her heart wrenching decision of whether or not to abort one of her children,
which reflects the style of confessional poetry because she is sharing her personal feelings and experiences. Anne Sexton was a famous poet of
confessional poetry, where the poets write about their private experiences with feelings about death, trauma, and depression in their lives. Anne Sexton
wrote from the point of view of an upper middle class woman. She had two children, and the stress of having them, gave her life long depression.
Sexton was sent to a psychiatric hospital after the birth of her second child. "The Abortion" displays all of Sexton's feelings that she has about her
abortion.
Sexton sets off the poem "[driving] south" (Sexton 5). She is describing her trip to go and get her child aborted, and she sees the "road sunken like a
gray washboard" (9). The road is extremely rough and bumpy, which is often an unpleasant surface to drive on. The negativeconnotation of her car ride
there is making her trip start off horribly and she has not even gotten to the worst part of it yet. The 'gray' description of the road makes it seem
lifeless, which reflects how Sexton is feeling on her trip. She also sees "grass as bristly and stout as chives" (14). Chives are a tall green plant that
look like grass, which she describes as 'bristly'. Indicating that the grass is rough and scratchy. This gives it a negative connotation

nuclear family that is having difficulties living as a family. I have already spoken to Marge Simpson and agreed to find a way to get her husband and
children to therapy. She has very high aspirations of attending therapy with her family because she has longed for a "normal" functioning family in
which her husband and children interact in a much healthier manner than they do now. She described her husband of being careless, her son
uncontrollable ate times, and her daughters disconnected from the family. We have set up the meeting for next week, Wednesday at six, when she
believed her family... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For this particular session Marge sat with her baby in the couch, her son sat as far away from the family as he could, her other daughter also sat on
the couch but not close to Marge or the baby, and her husband sat on the recliner way from her family as well. I tried to break the tension that I felt
in the room by asking the family how they were doing but I only got an answer from Marge and a smile from her older daughter, Dad and son didn't
seem to want to take part. I then asked each one to introduce them–selves. The first one to speak up was Marge; she introduced herself and her baby
Maggie who is one. I could tell that Marge was nervous about therapy and her baby was just being a baby. The next one to speak up was Lisa, Lisa
seemed shy but was very polite as oppose to Homer her dad and Bart. Both Homer and Bart seemed to resemble each other; they were careless and
bored about being in therapy. During the first session boundaries and ground rules were set. In this session my goal was to get to know the whole
family and learn about each of their concerns and what they each wanted to gain from therapy. I went around the room and asked each one to
describe how each one viewed their family structure as a whole. I let Marge begin since she seemed to be the most eager one in starting family
therapy. Her main concerns were having her husband's support, her son's

Humor in The Simpsons Essay
Humor in The Simpsons I and many other millions of people across the world believe that The Simpson's is the best programme on television
because it is funny in more ways then one. The Simpson's uses the family lifestyle that many American TV shows have used over past (e.g. The
Adam's family, The Flintstones) but The Simpson's has proved it is a lot more popular because it uses many more different forms of comedy
which work with people from all ages. Slapstick comedy is where someone gets hurt and you laugh but if you saw it happen in real life you'd find it
sick for example when homer the father strangles his son Bart in many episodes it would be seen as child abuse in real life but you... Show more content

Where Bart, Lisa and their classmates get stranded on an island and they go through the same things as they did in the book or film. Another great
example is where Bart writes " I can't see dead people" on the board in the opening credits which is a parody of The sixth sense which is a
supernatural film about ghosts and there is a memorable quote where the young boy says "I see dead people". Another example of Intertextuality is
where they use the idea of the matrix, which is a sci–fi film where the actors dodge bullets and move in slow motion. And in the Simpson's Bart starts
running up walls and dodging bullets and moving in slow motion and is quite enjoyable to watch because its good seeing the Simpson's doing it.
Intertextuality is a sophisticated type of comedy because the older viewers are more likely to grasp examples of these then younger viewers.
Running gags are things you will probably see in every episode and are funny every time you see them. Running gags are jokes that are same jokes
and actions that reappear every now and again. For example Homer always strangles his son Bart whenever he's rude or annoys Homer usually by
outsmarting him. Another running gag which I find funny is whenever the Simpson's are watching a documentary or a film the same actor Troy McClure

The Simpsons Television Show as a Pop Culture Icon Essay
The definition of the "typical" American family has changed considerably over time. Ever since the age of television dawned on American culture,
situation comedies have tried to portray the typical American family in an attempt to reach as many viewers as possible. In the 1950's, there was
"Leave It to Beaver" which represented a generic view of the American family during its time. There was a father whose responsibility was to
financially support the family and be a role model for his children. There was a mother whose job was that of a typical housewife, taking care of the
home and caring for the children. And there were the children who had no responsibilities, except to respect their parents and listen to their advice when

The show was all but ignored by the older viewing public, who discounted it as a trashy cartoon. The "consumption" (Delingpole) of the program and
its messages by the American public when the show first aired regularly was drastically different than what it is now and what the writers of the show
intended. On face value alone, "The Simpsons" is not much more than a cartoon about a middle–class family and their ridiculous escapades. But when
examined more closely and with a more objective eye ? "consumed" as the show?s writers would intend ? one can see that "The Simpsons" is truly a
comment on American society.
"The Simpsons" basis, a father, a mother, and three kids, is far from unusual. The "typical" American is a blue–collar worker not unlike the father,
Homer, who works a mindless job at the local nuclear power plant in the Simpsons' hometown of Springfield which is basically Anytown, USA.
Marge, the mother, is a fairly typical housewife besides her large blue beehive hairdo. Bart, is the rebellious older son; Lisa, the under–appreciated
middle child; and Maggie, the adorable baby. The Simpsons don't live in luxury, but they are a generally happy family that encounters the problems of
everyday, and not–so–everyday, life, something that millions can relate to. But there is something that sets "The Simpsons" apart from the

A Short Story : A Story?
It was a crisp, sunny, fall morning as Ava looked out her window. The sun was beating down on her nose. She had just woken up from a good night
of sleep. She laid back in her soft, velvety bed and enjoyed the sweet smell of fresh linen and sound of birds singing. She lived in a small town in
east Texas near Waco on a farm. She loved her farm and all the animals. She loved waking up every morning to the sound of the rooster and
clucking and waddling around. It was music to her ears. Ava got up from her cozy bed and got on her favorite red boots, blue sweater, and blue,
soft, jeans. Ava went to the bathroom, washed her face, brushed her teeth, and combed her hair. Ava looked in the mirror, looked at herself, and then
looked in the mirror again. " Wow," Ava thought, " I am really fat," she said to herself. Thoughts like this came into Ava's mind all the time. "Ava,"
yelled Ava's mom from downstairs, " time for breakfast." Ava quickly sprinted downstairs and sat down at the table. "Do youwant some eggs?" Ava's
dad questioned "No thanks," Ava answered, "I'm not hungry."
"But you never eat," Ava's dad said to her
"Can I just go to school!" Ava snapped back
Ava quickly ran outside, put on her violet helmet on, and got on her yellow bike and started to peddle. She did not want her parents to find out that she
is not eating because she thinks that she is fat. Ava gets to the red brick school and locks her bike and goes to the gym to her class. Ava is in sixth
grade and she

Scratchy And The Theme Of Itchy
In the eagerly–awaited film based on the hit television series, Homer must save the world from a catastrophe he himself created. The movie opens
with Ralph the police commissioner singing the 20th Century Fox logo theme. The movie then goes to show a side theme of Itchy & Scratchy with a
brief over view on what will happen throughout the movie: Itchy kills Scratchy and then returns to earth and is painted as a hero by the media. Shortly
thereafter, Itchy is elected president later, as Itchy is in the White House, he sees a supposedly dead Scratchy on the moon. Scratchy holds up a sign
that says "I'm telling", which freaks President Itchy out. Itchy then retaliates by sending a hundred missiles toward Scratchy. This is then seen in the
theater which is being attended by the Simpsons. Homer stands up and yells "Boring!" Lisa replies "Dad, we can't see the movie!" Homer then goes off
on a bragging about why they're paying to watch something in the theater that they normally watch on TV, and that... Show more content on

The Springfield citizens has every reason to be out for Simpson blood. The madness triggered by Homer has drawn the attention of U.S. President
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Environmental Protection Agency head Russ. "You know sir," Cargill tells the Arnold, "when you made me head of the
EPA, you were applauded for appointing one of the most successful men in America to the least successful agency in government. And why did I take
the job? Because I'm a rich man who wanted to give something back. Not the money, but something." That "something" is a devil's plan to contain the
disaster. As the fates of Springfield and the world hang in the balance, Homer embarks on a personal odyssey of redemption– seeking forgiveness
from Marge, the reunion of his splintered family, and the salvation of his hometown. So this is where my character comes to play, her name is

Postmodernism and The Simpsons

Abstract
This essay offers a postmodernist reading of the popular television program The Simpsons, with special regard to the postmodern theories of
intertexuality, hyperreality, and metanarratives. Before delving into The Simpsons, some major theoretical aspects ofpostmodernism in aesthetic
production are outlined. Three of the most prominent theorists of postmodernism – Lyotard, Baudrillard and Jameson– are introduced, as well as their
theories which will be brought into consideration in the following chapters. The objective ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Hal Foster (1983: ix), postmodernism aims to deconstruct or rewrite modernism in order to open its closed systems. Although both
movements draw out techniques that essentially challenge tradition, the sentiment and motivation behind the employment of these techniques differ in
important ways. Fragmentation is an example of a feature which characterizes both modernism and postmodernism, but literary critics such as Peter
Barry argue that the modernist employs fragmentation with a tone of lamentation and nostalgia
for an earlier, more intact age, while the postmodernist employs it with a tone of exhilaration and liberation (Barry, 2002: 84). Postmodernists also draw
a distinction between modernism's and postmodernism's perception of the relationship between "high" art and "low" art. Whereas the modernist would
generally eschew the mixing of high and low art, in the postmodern realm it is not infrequent that these elements are conflated in one expression.
Postmodernism stands in strong opposition to the kind of aesthetic elitism that postmodernists regard as inherent to modernist aesthetics.
Postmodernists regard popular arts as no less crucial to our culture than the more classic arts. This is often perceived as a provocative view and has
instigated many of postmodernism's more austere criticisms. Although postmodernism is a notoriously difficult term to generalize, there are

Motivation Of Mr Burns : A Reflection Of 'Mr. Burns'
During the past week, I had the opportunity to see Mr. Burns, a Post–Electric Play at the Stephen F. Austin State University own Turner Auditorium,
this comedy to say the least kept the audience on their toes in a post–apocalyptical setting. During my observation of the play, I witnessed directing and
actor decisions, from certain techniques discussed in The Director's Vison by Louis E. Carton and Scott Shattuck.
While watching the play I looked if there was any type of depth to the way the actors interpreted their characters and thus convince the audience the
authenticity of the play. I believe that the actor performed a very interesting and entertaining performance. The part that made the show more authentic
is the actor respond speed when they would hear the slightest of noise they would instinctively grab for their weapon as if it were a reflex. This is just
one way that the directing shined during this show making it much more believable that it was post–apocalyptic. With the actor's swift reflexes, it was
only natural that the ensemble between everyone was very much viewed. Such examples were between Anais Saenz who during the third act was
playing Scratchy and Travis Brasher who played Itchy. During this act, the two actors are imitating two characters off the showThe Simpsons, the
minions to Mr. Burns. In this scene, the two actors must work in sync and during the scene, It is my opinion that they did a fantastic job at doing so.
Just the way that all the

A Brief Note On Personal Hygiene And Health Hygiene
There are many reasons why personal hygiene is important. Some of the reasons are taking care of your teeth so they don't fall out, taking care of
your hair so it stays healthy, taking showers to stay clean, or just washing your hands to keep them clean. There are so many more ways to take care
of personal hygiene such as changing your clothes on a daily basis, eating the right foods, being careful of what you're touching or what you're
chewing on. There are many places that can help with your hygiene like dentists or orthodontist. So are you really taking care of your personal
hygiene? Personal hygiene is very important for many reasons. One reason is if you don't take care of your teeth, they could rot and possibly fall
out. This would not be enjoyable because you would have to get false teeth or just never have teeth. It would be very challenging to eat without
teeth. This could also result in having to pay very large amounts of money. Another reason hygiene is important is your hair. If you don't take care
of your hair, you can get very unhealthy hair and scalp issues such as "Dandruff". Dandruff is small pieces of dead skin in a person 's hair. Signs of
dandruff is a itchy scalp or white flakes in your hair. This is not because of dryness but because it's usually the result of too much oil rather than too
little in your hair. Taking showers can reduce getting dandruff because the water can wash the extra, not needed, oil out. Personal hygiene also includes

Persuasive Essay On Spirit Day

  • 1. Persuasive Essay On Spirit Day Everyday Spirit Days Having uniforms or no uniforms is a controversial topic amongst schools. However, the idea of Spirit Wear is both comfortable but also looks professional with uniform bottoms, serving as a compromise. Spirit Wear also shows a student's style and provides more options to clothing. Finally, it would receive positive feedback from students as it did when it was first allowed every Friday. Spirit Wear should be optional everyday because uniforms are uncomfortable, spirit wear allows more options to show personality, and are already allowed on Fridays. Uniforms are considered uncomfortable which can cause students to be unfocused. When asked what he thought about uniforms and their comfort, Richard Calleros from Child of God Lutheran 7th Grade says, "Correct, they are uncomfortable. Uniforms itch and can hurt, so we may not stay focussed on an assignment with uncomfortable clothing." Another 7th Grader from the same school, Isaiah Smith, chimed in, "I think uniforms are very uncomfortable, itchy, and scratchy because of the collar. The pants are also stiff too." Both students agree that uniforms are uncomfortable, thus, showing Spirit Day tee–shirts may be a simple alternative to comfort. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The options of uniforms are slim, but a wider range of Spirit Wear shows your style. As explained by Richard Calleros, "Of course, spirit wear reflects what you like to wear and how dedicated you are to the school." Having several positive reactions, Richard has taken part in buying the new Nike and Adidas spirit wear. Mia Fransos in the same class says, "Yes! Spirit wear still looks professional and provides an option to what you want to wear." Students enjoy looking proper but also want a wider selection of clothes for school, making Spirit Wear an easy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. American Tv Downfall Downfall of American TV According to Stevie Hossler, "Too many children are watching too much television and the shows that they are watching (even if they are cartoons) have become violent and addictive." (ethos) Prime time animated cartoons give young children a false sense of what real life is about. Unless networks are willing to readdress their social responsibilities as providers of entertainment for young society, television should boycott these types of shows. Television channels that used to show good family values like "Full House" or "Parenthood", networks now have replaced them with shows like "The Simpsons", "Family Guy", and "American Dad". Cartoons on television glorify violence, influence children to have no respect for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... ("Are My Kids' Favorite Cartoons Too Political?")(pathos) Prime time animated cartoons tend to glorify violence and teach children that it is more of a game than it is serious. According to Mark Joseph Stern, "When California tried to ban the sale of violent video games to minors, the Supreme Court mocked its efforts, noting that old Looney Tunes cartoons provoked the same tendency toward violence in children as a Grand Theft Auto–style bloodbath." (Stern)(ethos) For instance, in "The Simpsons", when Bart and Lisa watch "Itchy and Scratchy", Scratchy always dies and Bart and Lisa laugh, which results in teaching kids that manslaughter is alright. Cartoons these days are desensitizing kids towards violence. Researchers have proven that, "Today's animation and games are so realistic it can be hard for kids to tell the difference between 'pretend' violence and live action, making some animation just as disturbing as the real thing." ("Does Cartoon Violence Make Kids More Aggressive?")(ethos) Take "Tom and Jerry" for instance, this animated cartoon is designed for five year olds. "Tom and Jerry" was reviewed as three out of five stars for violence and scariness, as well as two out of five stars for drinking, drugs, and smoking from Common Sense Media. • 3. Essay on Zeitgeist Zeitgeist Its acquaintance is inevitable so good luck at trying to escape from it. Zeitgeist is the spirit of the age, as the dictionary defines it to be, but in my own terms it is the paranoia or 'scream' of a given epoch. For instance, the international fads like high–speed Internet, diminutive cell phones that miraculously slide and fit comfortably in your jean pocket, and convenient photo–taking digital cameras reflect the zeitgeist of many developed countries of the past decade. We see these items all over place on expressway billboards and during the two–minute commercial breaks that disrupt whatever televised program happens to be on the screen. We even see them in the millions of ads... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By this blob inhabiting our carpeted floors, families absorb all of media's controversies and hot tittle–tattles – presidential sex scandals, suburban gangs, the deadly disease that is going to infect you next, and everything else that will make you run upstairs and lock the door. Enrenreich also informs us that the blob can no longer be stopped for it is everywhere and far out of reach to be confined. "Then, for the first time in human history, hundreds of millions of individual minds were wired together in a single teleneurological system, inhabiting a self–contained universe of image and jingle and slogan." (151) It's unfortunately true. We function in life based on what we have learned from the media. For example, before the arrival of the new millennium, from one news reporter to the next, word about Y2K's computer bug and the shutdown of all electrical systems horrified the world. Lines at supermarkets looked like army parades with their aligned frantic customers loading up on bottled water and batteries. The public has become so adapted to similar images of drama and fear that it now constantly produces more commotion after the previous crisis. It's simply a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Benefits Of Medicare Patients Receiving An Epidural A study conducted from 1997 to 2006 shows an increase of Medicare patients receiving an epidural of one hundred and two percent per 100,000 people (Manchikanti). Epidurals allow the blockade of discomfort in a specific area with an injection of an anesthetic directly into the epidural space, located along the spinal column just below the spinal cord; however, the goal of this administration route is not to eliminate total lack of feeling but to provide the patient with relief from strain so they may continue their activities of daily living. Pain, the body's number one defense mechanism, transmits signals through nerves to the final destination of the brain. By blocking irritated nerve signals with an epidural, the mind and body can relax. Narcotics, an alternative option for uneasiness, only last for a limited amount of time and require frequent administration, while epidurals possess a longer mechanism of action and only require a one–time injection. Therefore, it remains as the primary line of method of pain alleviation for labor. Epidurals provide effective pain relief for expectant mothers without causing harm to her or the newborn baby, which has, caused a dramatic increase in the popularity of epidurals over the past decade. Though rare, during the 1800s, doctors would administer substances into the spinal column to block pain signals traveling through the nerves. • 5. The Success of the Simpsons Essay The Success of the Simpsons The Improbable Long–Term Success of The Simpsons When examining the history of modern prime–time television, there is a certain pattern that virtually every successful show inevitably falls into. After a period of initial success, perhaps lasting three or four years, the writing on the show becomes stale by using the same format and same jokes over and over. The viewing audience becomes bored, and eventually, the show fades into television oblivion. Or, as Jeff MacGregor states in The New York Times, "Historically...(successful shows) collapse under the weight of their own complacency, hanging on for a few lifeless seasons while the producers wait to cash out their millions and move to Maui." Based on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The older portion of the viewers takes additional pleasure in recognizing the allusion to the famous horror film. Another simple example of multilevel humor features Homer sitting on the couch, while another Homer walks past the outside window. Although it takes place in a matter of seconds, this scene is one of countless silly but curiously sensational quirks that makes the show "a masterpiece of tiny, throw–away details that accumulate into a worldview." Because the producers of The Simpsons understand the current industry guidelines for humor and political correctness, they are able to create humor by bluntly crossing these presumed socially acceptable boundaries, while still sending a positive message. One frequently addressed subject on the show is religion, which is a normally sensitive issue on television. The Simpsons, however tackles religious thought head–on. In one episode, Homer skips church on a particularly cold, snowy Sunday and has the best day of his life. After making his "patented, space–age, out–of–this world Moon Waffles" (melted caramel and waffle batter wrapped around a stick of butter), he watches football on T.V. and, upon finding a penny on the ground, asks aloud, "Could this be the best day of my life?" • 6. The Success of The Simpsons Essay The Success of The Simpsons In recent years, a certain animated sitcom has caught the public's attention, evoking reactions that are both favourable and unfavourable, but hardly ever apathetic. As a brilliant, socially aware satire, Matt Groening's 'The Simpson's' has effectively stirred different emotions from different factions of the culturally deadened American populace and for this alone, it should be recognised as quality programming. The Simpsons is a brutal satire of our society and our family structures yet it offers several redeeming qualities such as feminism, endurance and most of all humour. The fact that the show works on several levels at once draws a generational diverse fan base. The adults are attracted by the surprisingly sophisticated dialogue, while the children enjoy the clumsy antics of Homer and the traditionally "cartoonish" aspects of the programme. The Simpson's themselves are a simple family in a small town in Middle America called Springfield. They are: Homer (loyal but stupid father), Marge (dissatisfied, trapped housewife/ mother), Bart (rebellious son), Lisa (unappreciated genius daughter), and Maggie (silent baby). The show also revolves around a number of other characters. The members of the family have their own quirks and are constantly feuding amongst themselves. The hilarious show portrays the ups and downs of the Simpson's which real families are said to relate with, to a certain to degree. The highly provocative sitcom has revolutionised cartoons and has bought humour and mixed feelings to a new audience than previously brought before. The fact that all the characters in The Simpsons have four fingers shows that they are all unique and unified community despite age and race, this also makes a good statement. The skin colour is attractive to young viewers but also has meaning to older viewers, and different parts of the show are aimed at different audiences. • 8. Essay on The Simpsons The Simpsons The Simpsons is an original, satirical American sitcom cartoon, which is shown all over the world and appeals to a wide range of audiences with its unique, yet basic form of humour. It stereotypes and satirises the typical American lower middle class family. With its simple plots, exaggerated situations, unrealistic scenarios, lurid colours, humour, animation and familiar pattern, it is a typical cartoon but with an original twist. This makes it like no other cartoon made before, the twist is the level of humour used in the Simpsons, and this type of humour is called satire. Marge is also like Wilma in that they are both housewives, really care for their children and aspire to be the perfect wife. Another thing that has linked on is that quite often the naming of the families is used as the name of the show/programme for example, The Simpsons, The Jetsons and the Flintstones. The Flintstones did a spin–off series and created a different sitcom that was almost identical to the jokes and the theme, but it was set in the space age. The only way that Flintstones and the Jetsons are different to the way in which the Simpsons works, is the type of humour used. The Simpsons humour is a lot more complex and has clever jokes; it satirises and makes a joke about political, literary, and cultural values of Americaand the rest of the world. Whereas the Flintstones and Jetsons just make a joke about the time which they are set in (stone age and space age) and the artefacts they use and twist them to be funny. For example in the Flintstones they use a lawn mower which is really a pterodactyl which cuts the grass and speaks. This is why the Simpsons is revolutionary, also because no cartoon sitcom has ever been done of just satirising the typical American ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Why is The Simpsons so Popular? The Simpsons is often viewed as a stupid television show that wastes people's time and kills brain cells while at it. Often viewed as inappropriate and violent, The Simpsons is an effective form of satire to bring about change in society. As many know, Marge and Homer are the main characters along with Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Marge and Homer represent the good vs. bad parent. In one episode, Maggie hits Homer on the head with a mallet because she saw Itchy hit Scratchy on the head with a mallet. Marge takes it upon herself to get violent cartoons banned. She sends many letters to the corporation but they just ignore it and keep doing what they do because to them, Marge is a nobody. But Marge insists and makes the issue big so finally they turn Itchy and Scratchy to a harmless TV show. Kids get bored with it and play outside. There are so many good examples of satire in this episode. First, it shows how kids are easily influenced by television shows, and if they are shown something bad, they may go out and do it in real life (shown when Maggie hits Homer in the head). This concept on how violence on TV ruins kids is insane. If taught right from wrong, children will know not to do bad thing from TV. Another example of satire is how big companies or corporations don't give two craps on what people think. Unless they are big or famous, their opinion is irrelevant. This connects 100% with the real world. Homer represents the parents who really doesn't care as much what ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For long periods, the viewers and writers did not know that he was not a real figure but rather a stereotyped character. His main role is to provoke a laugh from the jokes. The actor whose voice is used to represent that of Apu is also a white man and a large part of the writers of "The Simpsons" that depicts a significant contribution to "The Front" episode and comprises of the whites hence that would be another reason for the constraints in identification of the stereotyped character. In essence, the voice is an impression of a white guy who seems to make fun of a father (Singh, 2014). The use of Apu as a stereotype expresses the manner in which two different cultures can come together and engage in particular processes. Anne Sexton was a famous poet of confessional poetry, where the poets write about their private experiences with feelings about death, trauma, and depression in their lives. Anne Sexton wrote from the point of view of an upper middle class woman. She had two children, and the stress of having them, gave her life long depression. Sexton was sent to a psychiatric hospital after the birth of her second child. "The Abortion" displays all of Sexton's feelings that she has about her abortion. Sexton sets off the poem "[driving] south" (Sexton 5). She is describing her trip to go and get her child aborted, and she sees the "road sunken like a gray washboard" (9). The road is extremely rough and bumpy, which is often an unpleasant surface to drive on. The negativeconnotation of her car ride there is making her trip start off horribly and she has not even gotten to the worst part of it yet. The 'gray' description of the road makes it seem lifeless, which reflects how Sexton is feeling on her trip. She also sees "grass as bristly and stout as chives" (14). Chives are a tall green plant that look like grass, which she describes as 'bristly'. Indicating that the grass is rough and scratchy. This gives it a negative connotation ... • 22. Simpsons Family Therapy Essay Family Referral Today I received a referral from a family who is seeking help regarding their dysfunctional family structure. The Simpson's are a nuclear family that is having difficulties living as a family. I have already spoken to Marge Simpson and agreed to find a way to get her husband and children to therapy. She has very high aspirations of attending therapy with her family because she has longed for a "normal" functioning family in which her husband and children interact in a much healthier manner than they do now. She described her husband of being careless, her son uncontrollable ate times, and her daughters disconnected from the family. We have set up the meeting for next week, Wednesday at six, when she believed her family... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For this particular session Marge sat with her baby in the couch, her son sat as far away from the family as he could, her other daughter also sat on the couch but not close to Marge or the baby, and her husband sat on the recliner way from her family as well. I tried to break the tension that I felt in the room by asking the family how they were doing but I only got an answer from Marge and a smile from her older daughter, Dad and son didn't seem to want to take part. I then asked each one to introduce them–selves. The first one to speak up was Marge; she introduced herself and her baby Maggie who is one. I could tell that Marge was nervous about therapy and her baby was just being a baby. The next one to speak up was Lisa, Lisa seemed shy but was very polite as oppose to Homer her dad and Bart. Both Homer and Bart seemed to resemble each other; they were careless and bored about being in therapy. During the first session boundaries and ground rules were set. In this session my goal was to get to know the whole family and learn about each of their concerns and what they each wanted to gain from therapy. I went around the room and asked each one to describe how each one viewed their family structure as a whole. I let Marge begin since she seemed to be the most eager one in starting family therapy. Her main concerns were having her husband's support, her son's ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. Humor in The Simpsons Essay Humor in The Simpsons I and many other millions of people across the world believe that The Simpson's is the best programme on television because it is funny in more ways then one. The Simpson's uses the family lifestyle that many American TV shows have used over past (e.g. The Adam's family, The Flintstones) but The Simpson's has proved it is a lot more popular because it uses many more different forms of comedy which work with people from all ages. Slapstick comedy is where someone gets hurt and you laugh but if you saw it happen in real life you'd find it sick for example when homer the father strangles his son Bart in many episodes it would be seen as child abuse in real life but you... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Where Bart, Lisa and their classmates get stranded on an island and they go through the same things as they did in the book or film. Another great example is where Bart writes " I can't see dead people" on the board in the opening credits which is a parody of The sixth sense which is a supernatural film about ghosts and there is a memorable quote where the young boy says "I see dead people". Another example of Intertextuality is where they use the idea of the matrix, which is a sci–fi film where the actors dodge bullets and move in slow motion. And in the Simpson's Bart starts running up walls and dodging bullets and moving in slow motion and is quite enjoyable to watch because its good seeing the Simpson's doing it. Intertextuality is a sophisticated type of comedy because the older viewers are more likely to grasp examples of these then younger viewers. Running gags are things you will probably see in every episode and are funny every time you see them. Running gags are jokes that are same jokes and actions that reappear every now and again. For example Homer always strangles his son Bart whenever he's rude or annoys Homer usually by outsmarting him. Another running gag which I find funny is whenever the Simpson's are watching a documentary or a film the same actor Troy McClure ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. The Simpsons Television Show as a Pop Culture Icon Essay The definition of the "typical" American family has changed considerably over time. Ever since the age of television dawned on American culture, situation comedies have tried to portray the typical American family in an attempt to reach as many viewers as possible. In the 1950's, there was "Leave It to Beaver" which represented a generic view of the American family during its time. There was a father whose responsibility was to financially support the family and be a role model for his children. There was a mother whose job was that of a typical housewife, taking care of the home and caring for the children. And there were the children who had no responsibilities, except to respect their parents and listen to their advice when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The show was all but ignored by the older viewing public, who discounted it as a trashy cartoon. The "consumption" (Delingpole) of the program and its messages by the American public when the show first aired regularly was drastically different than what it is now and what the writers of the show intended. On face value alone, "The Simpsons" is not much more than a cartoon about a middle–class family and their ridiculous escapades. But when examined more closely and with a more objective eye ? "consumed" as the show?s writers would intend ? one can see that "The Simpsons" is truly a comment on American society. "The Simpsons" basis, a father, a mother, and three kids, is far from unusual. The "typical" American is a blue–collar worker not unlike the father, Homer, who works a mindless job at the local nuclear power plant in the Simpsons' hometown of Springfield which is basically Anytown, USA. Marge, the mother, is a fairly typical housewife besides her large blue beehive hairdo. Bart, is the rebellious older son; Lisa, the under–appreciated middle child; and Maggie, the adorable baby. The Simpsons don't live in luxury, but they are a generally happy family that encounters the problems of everyday, and not–so–everyday, life, something that millions can relate to. But there is something that sets "The Simpsons" apart from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. A Short Story : A Story? It was a crisp, sunny, fall morning as Ava looked out her window. The sun was beating down on her nose. She had just woken up from a good night of sleep. She laid back in her soft, velvety bed and enjoyed the sweet smell of fresh linen and sound of birds singing. She lived in a small town in east Texas near Waco on a farm. She loved her farm and all the animals. She loved waking up every morning to the sound of the rooster and clucking and waddling around. It was music to her ears. Ava got up from her cozy bed and got on her favorite red boots, blue sweater, and blue, soft, jeans. Ava went to the bathroom, washed her face, brushed her teeth, and combed her hair. Ava looked in the mirror, looked at herself, and then looked in the mirror again. " Wow," Ava thought, " I am really fat," she said to herself. Thoughts like this came into Ava's mind all the time. "Ava," yelled Ava's mom from downstairs, " time for breakfast." Ava quickly sprinted downstairs and sat down at the table. "Do youwant some eggs?" Ava's dad questioned "No thanks," Ava answered, "I'm not hungry." "But you never eat," Ava's dad said to her "Can I just go to school!" Shortly thereafter, Itchy is elected president later, as Itchy is in the White House, he sees a supposedly dead Scratchy on the moon. Scratchy holds up a sign that says "I'm telling", which freaks President Itchy out. Itchy then retaliates by sending a hundred missiles toward Scratchy. Before delving into The Simpsons, some major theoretical aspects ofpostmodernism in aesthetic production are outlined. Three of the most prominent theorists of postmodernism – Lyotard, Baudrillard and Jameson– are introduced, as well as their theories which will be brought into consideration in the following chapters. The objective ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Hal Foster (1983: ix), postmodernism aims to deconstruct or rewrite modernism in order to open its closed systems. Although both movements draw out techniques that essentially challenge tradition, the sentiment and motivation behind the employment of these techniques differ in important ways. Fragmentation is an example of a feature which characterizes both modernism and postmodernism, but literary critics such as Peter Barry argue that the modernist employs fragmentation with a tone of lamentation and nostalgia for an earlier, more intact age, while the postmodernist employs it with a tone of exhilaration and liberation (Barry, 2002: 84). Postmodernists also draw a distinction between modernism's and postmodernism's perception of the relationship between "high" art and "low" art. Whereas the modernist would generally eschew the mixing of high and low art, in the postmodern realm it is not infrequent that these elements are conflated in one expression. Postmodernism stands in strong opposition to the kind of aesthetic elitism that postmodernists regard as inherent to modernist aesthetics. Postmodernists regard popular arts as no less crucial to our culture than the more classic arts. This is often perceived as a provocative view and has instigated many of postmodernism's more austere criticisms. Although postmodernism is a notoriously difficult term to generalize, there are

  • 29. Motivation Of Mr Burns : A Reflection Of 'Mr. Burns' During the past week, I had the opportunity to see Mr. Burns, a Post–Electric Play at the Stephen F. Austin State University own Turner Auditorium, this comedy to say the least kept the audience on their toes in a post–apocalyptical setting. During my observation of the play, I witnessed directing and actor decisions, from certain techniques discussed in The Director's Vison by Louis E. Carton and Scott Shattuck. While watching the play I looked if there was any type of depth to the way the actors interpreted their characters and thus convince the audience the authenticity of the play. I believe that the actor performed a very interesting and entertaining performance. The part that made the show more authentic is the actor respond speed when they would hear the slightest of noise they would instinctively grab for their weapon as if it were a reflex. This is just one way that the directing shined during this show making it much more believable that it was post–apocalyptic. With the actor's swift reflexes, it was only natural that the ensemble between everyone was very much viewed. Such examples were between Anais Saenz who during the third act was playing Scratchy and Travis Brasher who played Itchy. During this act, the two actors are imitating two characters off the showThe Simpsons, the minions to Mr. Burns. In this scene, the two actors must work in sync and during the scene, It is my opinion that they did a fantastic job at doing so. Just the way that all the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 31. A Brief Note On Personal Hygiene And Health Hygiene There are many reasons why personal hygiene is important. Some of the reasons are taking care of your teeth so they don't fall out, taking care of your hair so it stays healthy, taking showers to stay clean, or just washing your hands to keep them clean. There are so many more ways to take care of personal hygiene such as changing your clothes on a daily basis, eating the right foods, being careful of what you're touching or what you're chewing on. There are many places that can help with your hygiene like dentists or orthodontist. So are you really taking care of your personal hygiene? Personal hygiene is very important for many reasons. One reason is if you don't take care of your teeth, they could rot and possibly fall out. This would not be enjoyable because you would have to get false teeth or just never have teeth. It would be very challenging to eat without teeth. This could also result in having to pay very large amounts of money. Another reason hygiene is important is your hair. If you don't take care of your hair, you can get very unhealthy hair and scalp issues such as "Dandruff". Dandruff is small pieces of dead skin in a person 's hair. Signs of dandruff is a itchy scalp or white flakes in your hair. This is not because of dryness but because it's usually the result of too much oil rather than too little in your hair. Taking showers can reduce getting dandruff because the water can wash the extra, not needed, oil out. Personal hygiene also includes just ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
