The four parts are explained on the following slides.

3.  Theheadline should be brief and
precise/catchy.

4.  Write a general introduction to the topic in which you
include e.g. a question, a statement, facts or a
quotation.

5.  Structure the contents of your essay in clearly defined
sections.
 Arrange the contents logically.
 Make sure you address all the issues mentioned in the
instructions.
 Discuss all the aspects of the topic.
 Illustrate your points of view by giving examples.
 Do not use “I”.

6.  End the essay appropriately e.g. by
• summarising the main points
• concluding on the overall topic
• providing final comments
