Several databases were used for this review. Sources primarily came from EBSCO, which included Academic Search Complete, Education Full Text,
OmniFile Full Text Mega, General Science Full Text, EBSCO Professional Development Collection, and Social Sciences Full–Text databases. In
addition, the EBSCO eBook Collection and the EBSCO ebrary collection for full–text books were utilized. Other databases used for this review include
Google Scholar and ERIC. The search was narrowed by limiting sources to academic journals and books. Where possible, only peer–reviewed sources
were used. Some keyword descriptors did not produce results within the peer–review parameters. The keywords searched included individual searches
or pairings of the following words: augmentative and alternative communication systems, severe/multiple disabilities, severe communication
impairments, pre–service special education teachers, communication disorders, competencies, knowledge and skills, special education, AAC,.
Limitations of the search results. While sources for this review were obtained from academic and scholarly sites, the number of peer–reviewed sources
was limited. To maximize academic integrity of the source material, all sources were taken from academic journals or from books published by
qualified experts in the field. In addition, while the research questions focused on instructional preparation of special education teachers using AAC,
few sources on the combined delimiters were available.

thematically. The objective of her study was to examine the effects of bipolar disorder on writers and their writing. The questions included the
following; how writers who suffer from bipolar disorder experience writing in their lives; why they continue writing despite the disorder: contrasts of
writing style between those who have bipolar and those who do not; what inspires them to continue writing despite the impediment; how bipolar
disorder influences their reasons for writing or not writing in the past and today; and whether they see similarities between themselves and other

The last 2 disorders I will be discussing are ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder). The first refers to the
disorder where children show delay in communication and socialization skills, impaired social development, and repetitive behavior. One of the most
famous autistic adults is Dr. Temple Grandin. He has been on television on shows such as the Today Show and Larry King Live as well as The New
York Times and Forbes magazines. Children withautism no matter what the severity respond well to decrease in sensory load.
FASD is a disorder that can very simply be avoided. Cause: Alcohol consumption or smoking during pregnancy. Solution: No alcohol or smoking
during pregnancy. Symptoms are widely ranged and each person behaves differently. Two people diagnosed with the same disorder may react in two
very different ways depending on their personality. After having discussed all the above, I have been asked to give my input on the matter. Of
everything stated in this presentation I had a vague idea of almost all the common disorders related to NBB but now I have learned how to recognize
them while in a classroom as well as earned how to deal with students in such cases. The thing that caught my attention most was how to deal with such

to marry a working–class man by the name of Stanley. Stanley is an World War II veteran, and can be considered a brute in the film. Immediately
upon meeting Blanche, Stanley is not fond of her and thinks that she has swindled he and Stella out of family fortune after he finds fancy clothes and
jewelry in her trunk. Blanche quickly tosses papers at Stanley to show that she had not taken fortune out of anyone, and Stanley reveals that his true
intentions is that he wants to consider his "wife's affairs" since Stella is pregnant. Blanche is shocked by the news. Later, Stanley's hosts a poker
night, and Blanche meets Mitch and is immediately attracted to him due to his sensitivity. Stanley becomes so drunk and belligerent that he strikes
Stella; however, is quick to forgive, despite Blanche's pleas for her to leave Stanley. After Stanley finds out the true reason why Blanche left her old
town (she was having sexual relations with a minor), a fight emerges between Stella, Stanley, and Blanche, but is cut short when Stella goes into labor.

impairment in social interaction and restricted, repetitive behavior, interest, and activity" (Myles, Lee, Smith, Tien, Chou, & Swanson, 2007). If one
does not know the definition of Asperger's, they often create many assumptions and misconceptions about people with the disorder.
Numerous misconceptions exist on the topic of Asperger's Syndrome, and it is time for them to be put to rest. One fallacy that many believe is that
people with AS are intellectually disabled (Waas, 2011). This is entirely false. People with AS have normal or above normal intellectual abilities
(Carrington, Templeton, & Papinczak, 2003). Another myth is that people with AS are prone to violence, but the truth is that they are no more violent
than anyone else. Frustration is the cause of any outbursts because they are unable to convey themselves.(Waas, 2011). One more misconception of
people with AS is that they do not speak or communicate with others. This is completely inaccurate. People with Asperger's, in fact, have a broad
