2. Steady Current
A constant current (steady current, time-independent current,
stationary current) is a type of Direct Current (DC) that does not
change its intensity with time.
There are two types of electric current caused by the motion of free
charges.
1.Coduction current
2. Convection current
3. Classification of Steady Current
Conduction current: Conduction current is the electric current that
flows through a conductor because of an applied potential difference.
Convection Current: Convection currents occur in the Earth's
geosphere, atmosphere and hydrosphere when heat is transferred from
one place to another. Heat energy moves from hot places to cold places
during convection.
4. Difference Between convection current and
convection current
Conduction current Convection current
1. Due to movement charge particle in a
conduction.
1. Due to movement charge particle in a
gaseous medium.
2. It obeys Ohms law. 2. It doesn’t maintain Ohms law.
