Friends change, classmates, and maybe whoever is reading this has change from last year. It could
be tough for a student to get through the school year because the one person they once relay on is
now struggling themselves. Coming into high school can be very stressful, they are again now at the

High School Dress Codes In High Schools
The logic and mindset of how the high school was structured were absolutely ridiculous. Basically,
like Beacon, my high school was a school for kids with learning disabilities. It was also a K–12
school. However, they defined learning disability as the students being somewhat untrustworthy.
When there was a non–academic situation arising, they would only confront the main person
causing all of it and not ask witnesses. The majority of my high school teachers were some of the
most unpleasant people ever.
For starters, they would overly enforce small rules that weren't necessary. For example, they were a
huge pain about the dress code. When I first got there, the dress code was polo shirt only, and guys
had to have them tucked in at all times. Even when it was slightly untucked, they would give us a
hard time about it. When someone wasn't wearing a polo shirt and was wearing a t–shirt instead, no
matter what was on it, they would make them go to the bathroom and turn it inside out. Fortunately,
it didn't last too long because during my sophomore year, my best friend managed to rally almost the
entire high school (there were only about thirty to forty people) and we broke the entire dress code
for an entire week at the end of the year. Since then, they pretty much let us wear whatever we
wanted as long as it wasn't too revealing. There was also a point when they were giving out
detentions for carrying backpacks from class to class. I even still have the questions they made me

High school is something we all go through, for some people it is a breeze but for others it is their

predictor of college success and is positively related to standardized test scores, college enrollment

When someone typically thinks of a high school, they think about a traditional high school. What I
mean by a traditional high school is a high school that consists of more than 600 students just trying
to get their high school diplomas. Middle College is not your traditional high school. I come across
a lot of people rejecting Middle College because it takes away from the "real high school
experience". However, being at MCHS has given me a unique high school experience that not

adventurous quest. However, he did something most people are afraid to do. He stood up for what
he believed in regardless of whether he stood alone. Made by Carl Foreman, this movie contained a
marshal named Kane. News went around town that Frank Miller, a criminal Kane put in prison a
while back, was coming to town on the noon train to get his revenge. Instead of leaving town, he
decided to stay and fight. He turned to the townspeople for help, but none lifted a finger. They were
all concerned for their own safety. Nevertheless, despite all of the pleas from the people and his wife
for him to leave town, Kane's plans remain unchanged. Kane was not a hero like Thor, or Wonder
Woman, but the type of hero from real life; one who stood up for what he believed in, even if he
stood alone. Foreman skillfully highlights the loneliness that Kane feels when facing Miller and his
gang. Near the end of the movie, Kane was standing in the street waiting for Miller to arrive. Sweat

Challenges and obstacles are life defining moments in someone's life that teaches them skills and
responses that they can utilize and build upon for the duration of their lives. I would not necessarily
call my challenge a moment, I would call it a period or season of my life where I had to learn how to

The idea that the American education system requires its students to attend school for a full 13 years
is absurd. The average student does not need 13 years of high school to be prepared for graduation
and college, and those who do require that much attention most likely would not succeed in college
anyways. In the typical high school, students and teachers waste more time focusing on sports and
social issues rather than actual schooling. When one truly realizes how many days are wasted at
sporting events or on silly pep rallies and activities, then it becomes clear why it's a waste to attend
school for such a large amount of time.
High schools in America typically are in session for 9–10 out of 12 total months. Students get the
occasional week–long breaks every so often for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the like. Classes
usually run from approximately 8 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, with hardly any breaks in
between. An average class can last anywhere from 45 minutes all the way to two hours depending
on the style of school you attend. Most high school aged teens also participate in one, or several
extracurricular activities. The pressure to succeed greatly in these activities can lead a student to let
their life become consumed with a nonstop cycle of school, activity, school, activity, etc.

Sports have two options for involvement play the game or sit the bench; however in FFA there are
uncountable options for student involvement. In FFA no matter the involvement level a member is
still a part of an organization nearly 600,000 students strong. In a sport you learn to work as a team
with the others you see at school every day, in FFA you can meet people and work with a team from

from around the U.S. like New Jersey, South Dakota, and more as a big group we packaged nearly
30,000 meals in one morning, we traveled to Arlington National Cemetery and paid respect for those
who died for our freedom, and traveled the subway inspiring D.C. natives with our blue and gold
jacket all week. Packaging meals inspired us to think about other people and what an advantage we

At my high school, all students from 9 through 12–grade levels were required to take the Regents
exam authorized by the state of New York. If students did not pass the Regents exam in June, their
first time, and were forced to go to summer school and take the Regents again, and if they did not
