PDHPE teaches students to maintain active, healthy lifestyles and improve health through intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development. It examines individual, family, community values and beliefs and how the socio-cultural and physical environments influence health. Teachers follow the NSW syllabus to develop students' moving, problem solving, communicating, interacting, and decision making skills through studying interpersonal relationships, growth, games, health choices, safety, active lifestyles, dance and gymnastics.
