The Dragon of Ashara
Script
Princess Luella was a beautiful young lady. She had long, dark brown hair that
framed her petite, pale face. Her eyes were a light grey colour, with a sparkle you
could get lost in. Her lips were a natural red, and she wore an equally as stunning
red dress, with black trimmings of ribbon around the waist and in her hair. She
was just about to turn 18, and her father, The King wanted to know what she
wanted for her birthday. She had everything, she was kind hearted, and despite
having everything she still longed for something else - love. Her luxurious
lifestyle made her look spoiled, and ungrateful. As she did not have anyone to
love, she thought she would ask for something that may bring her someone. She
longed to impress someone and make them hers, and then her father would
know that the kingdom is going to be passed to 2 people of responsibility and
nobility. Most importantly, she wanted to feel loved.
She asked for a dragon, she saw in her childhood storybooks, brave women who
rode on dragons to the end of the earth. She wanted to train a dragon. She
wanted to ride a dragon. She did not contemplate the dangers that she was about
to inflict upon her family’s kingdom. Or her family.
Her father reluctantly agreed to buy the dragon, on the conditions that it was to
live in the dungeon, and looked after by Princess Luella. He knew that having this
dragon would not end well, but he thought that she must teach herself how much
hard work will need to be put in to look after it.
The princesses’ father went to get the dragon, and returned with the burgundy
beauty 30 minutes later. She was captivating; with a wingspan bigger than a
mountain, and more teeth than there were people in the kingdom. She had a long
line of spikes that jutted out into dangerous points from the bottom of her neck,
to the bottom of her tail, which was easily longer than 20 feet. There was a pair
of elegant horns on the top of the majestically breath-taking creatures head. The
silence that was cast over the room, as the dragon was lead in by The King
symbolised the power that they both had.
The silence was cut short by a blast of orange light and the screams of the
almighty king. This was not the way the noble king was supposed to die.
Everyone present was horrified at the unexpected situation unfolding before his
or her eyes. As his crown dropped to the floor, panic began to unfold throughout
the castle and the kings secondary guards started to look for Luella, who was
bound to be devastated. The dragon watched on in delight, stood up on its back
legs and flew up and out of the window, leaving all the devastation she has just
caused behind.
Luella’s screams of grief and pain echoed the castle for eternity as she came to
terms with the fact that her father’s death was her fault, for meaning the best,
and doing the worst.
