1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing the product?
2. List of technologies used:
• Research & development:
Youtube, Google, Art of the Title and
Wordpress.
• Pre-production: Celtx, scanner and Adobe
Premiere Pro.
• Production: Canon EOS 100D and tripod
• Post-production: After Effects, Dafont, Free
Sound Effect and Adobe Premiere Pro.
3. Art of the Title
• Art of the Title is a website that contains title
sequences that have been deemed impressive
and culturally significant as well as a brief
analysis of them.
4. Art of the Title helped us with our
research because:
• It introduced us to a lot of title sequences we would
not have thought to have looked at before such
as, “Cape Fear”, “Catch Me If You Can” and “Dexter”
• It also provided us with a lot of historical and analysis
facts and ideas which aided us in coming up with our
own opinions of these titles.
5. Celtx
• Celtx is a pre-production software that
allows users to create screenplays in the
correct format.
6. How Celtx helped us create our script:
• Celtx allowed us to create a script in the correct
format simply and quickly. It would have been a
lot more complicated to have done it on Word.
• It allowed us to
use correct
scene
headings, chara
cter
descriptions
and dialogue.
7. Canon EOS 100D
• Canon EOS 100D is a DLSR camera. DLSR
stands for digital single-lens reflex camera.
These are high quality cameras that can
shoot still and moving image.
8. Camera techniques we learnt:
• We found the focus we needed through
altering the camera lens until it looked as we
desired.
• In scenes that lacked the lighting we wanted,
we used a large lamp to create the desired
atmosphere
• When reviewing our shots we used the
cameras playback feature which is accessed
through the media roll feature.
9. Adobe Premier Pro
• In creating our opening title sequence we
learnt how to edit a film on Adobe Premier
Pro.
• Adobe Premier Pro is a timeline based video
editing program that has been used to edit
BBC broadcasts and feature films such as The
Social Network.
10. The techniques we learnt on Adobe
Premier Pro include:
• Importing footage using the clip
library menu.
• Cutting footage using the razor tool.
• Layering video and sound using the
many layer tools that were avalable.
• Separating the sound from the
footage by locking the different
layers in order to isolate the sound.
11. • Adding titles in the title pop up menu and
then editing them with tools such as ledding,
aspect and kerning.
• Adding audio
and video
effects using
the effect
panel.
