This course is designed to reinforce and expand on the writing skills

technical documents. Emphasis will be placed on: the process of
completing any on-the-job writing assignment, the specific formats most
often used, and related communication tasks such as oral presentations.
To help reach these goals, the course will focus on the elements of clear
writing, and the necessary critical thinking that must precede good
writing.

This course helps students to discover and perfect the skills that will

This course provides a review of the principles of written communication
skills as well as an introduction to those communication rudiments which
are essential in business today. Through hands-on, practical writing
exercises, students will learn and practice these essential communication
processes. The primary focus of the course will be on effective writing
which includes correct spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and
punctuation.

3. In this course the students learn the concepts of communication essential
to the PSW role. Application of knowledge of writing, reading, listening
and speaking skills will be incorporated into this course. The student will

helping relationships and barriers to communication. The application of
medical terminology will help the students refine their communication
skills and understanding.
