The teacher will use the concept map to sort the things need to consider before getting married.
DIRECTIONS:The teacher will ask the students on what are the things need to consider before getting
married. Six students will be called. Answers will be written inside of each box.

The teacher will discuss short biography of the author.

GROUP 1: The Actors
Choose one unforgettable scene of the story and do an act. You have five minutes to prepare. Perform it
as a group in front of the class.
Dodong, seventeen year old boy, is
impatiently waiting for his father to
arrive home, so that he can tell his
love for Teang and his desire to
marry her.
Dodong is waiting outside
while Teang gives birth to their
first son, Blas.
Her body is now shapeless and
thin from bearing so many
children and from the hard work
of caring for them and the
household.
There had been another suitor,
Lucio who was nine years
older than Dodong.
When Blas turns 18, he came
home and told Dodong that
he wants to mary Tena.
One night, Dodong went
outside and thinks about his
life. He wants to have the
wisdom to know why life does
not fulfill youth dreams.

Choose a song for each two of the main characters would sing if he/she became a singer. You have five
minutes to prepare. Perform it as a group in front of the class afterwards.
