INTRODUCTION
As I was made aware of the seminar to be conducted
by first year students, and supervised by M.N. 1st
year student as per the assignment on “Body
mechanics and Posture”. Ms Bincy Rose Benny and
Ms Bhawana of 1st
year Bs Nursing students were
informed about the meeting at 4.00 pm on 13th
August 2018. The students reported on time. We
introduced each other and the purpose of the meeting
was discussed. They were provided with the
instructions with reference to the importance of the
meeting. Further, their experience of attending or
conducting similar seminar, if any, was discussed.
When the students were at ease, topic for the seminar
“Body mechanics and Posture” was introduced to
them. They were advised to search the related books
for getting information and knowledge regarding the
topic. They were informed about the next meeting on
16th
August.
The main activities done on this meeting are as
follows

college of nursing as scheduled in Bsc Nursing first

Class
year classroom at 2.00 PM to 2.30 PM. Body
mechanics presented by Ms. Bincy. Her presentation
was evaluated by Madam Mrs. Usha and student
guide .Her presentation skill was excellent. She
introduced topic in an attractive manner. She has
good mastery over the content. She explained the
topic confidently. She used AV aids effectively. Time
management was not good Her grooming and
personality were optimum to a good teacher .Myself
and madams Mrs. Usha were satisfied with her
presentation.
Posture topic was presented by Ms. Bhawana. Her
presentation was not up to the standard. She has stage
fear and lost her confidence while presenting the
topic. She has goods voice but mastery over the
content and language skill was inadequate. We both
were unsatisfied with her performance. Madam Mrs.
Usha asked her to repeat the presentation.

We had post seminar meeting with our faculty
advisor Madam Mrs. Usha Phulara. She expressed
her evaluation and view on seminar of both students.
As she was previously expressed, she was satisfied
with Ms. Bincy’s performance and totally
disappointed with Ms. Bhawana’s presentations. She
asked me to give necessary directions to Ms.
Bhawana and prepare her to repeat the presentation. I

excellent performance .I suggested and advised Ms.
Bhawana certain tips to improve her presentation
skill. I extended moral support to her. I also request
Ms. Bincy to train and help Bhawana for her
presentation. I have also conveyed madam Usha’s
opinion regarding their presentations. I have
