  52. 52. http://mesh.med.yale.edu/ M.G. 43 The PMCID is a unique reference number or identifier that is assigned to every article that is accepted into PMC. The PMCID is also used by recipients of NIH funding to demonstrate compliance with the NIH Public Access policy. The PMCID can be found in both PMC and PubMed. A MeSH analysis grid can help identify the problems in your search strategy by presenting the ways articles are indexed in the MEDLINE database in an easy-to-scan tabular format. The MeSH terms are sorted and grouped alphabetically for ease of scanning. Searchers can then easily scan the grid and identify appropriate MesH terms, term variants, indexing consistency, and the reasons why some articles are retrieved and others are not, inevitably leading to fresh iterations of the search strategy to include missing important terms.
