Short Summary of Experience and Qualifications
I am currently the Business owner of BluMango Business Developers and is an accredited
Assessor/Moderator with Services SETA.
Business Development Manager at ABSA Financial Services. I have a B. Com. (Honours) Degree in
Business Communications from the University of Potchefstroom, a Post Graduate Diploma in
Financial Planning (CFP) as well as Regulatory Exams 1. I have 18 years total experience in the
financial/training industry as a Business Development Manager as well as a Financial Advisor.
Extensive experience in Public Relations was also gained while working at the South African Forces
Institute and Rand Water Board.
Present Position
I am currently the business owner of BluMango Business Developers.
BluMango is a business developing organisation who focusses on the strategic marketing of
businesses by developing individualised Marketing Plans and actively plays a role in the
implementation of developed strategies.
Our Research function enables business owners to make pro-active informed decisions with regards
to consumer needs.
BluMango coordinates and facilitates Skills Development Training as part of our business
development strategy. Training courses we offer are appropriately developed through the
implementation of Workplace Skills Plans for various industry sectors and consist of a wide selection
of courses offered by accredited training institutions.
Previous experience
Business Development manager at ABSA Financial Services (AFS). Responsibilities included Regional
Product and Sales Training to all branch managers, sales consultants and enquiry staff on all AFS
financial products. Driving sales and sustaining/building of relationships with the above employees
within the Gauteng and Eastern Cape regions.
Training experience was gained the past eleven years as an Investment Specialist at ABSA
Investments (LISP platform AIMS). I was responsible for investment training on all ABSA Investment
Management Services Unit Trust linked products to a panel of twenty advisors. Duties included
presentations to groups with regard to market growth and fund performances, building of their
practices as well as client service. Driving sales against set targets.
Experience as a financial advisor gained while working at Nedbank and Old Mutual.
Management experience was gained at Old Mutual as a Team Leader as well as being one of three
directors at Appraised Financial Services (independent brokerage).
Experience as a Public Relations Officer where I was responsible for the designing, implementing and
managing of promotions and campaigns for the South African Forces Institute, designing and
management of the in-house newspaper SAMI News. Development of marketing strategies,
advertising, internal communications as well as market research for SAMI.
