Who Are We?
We started in January 2000 under the banner of Isago
Management Consulting through an association of six
consultants. As the business environment grew and dynamics
changed Zwino Consulting was born to focus on providing
service excellence in a Southern African context. We are a
100% South African organisation we operate in all nine
provinces. We have a successful track record in a number of
Southern African organisations. Our consultants/associates
collectively have over 20 years of sound business advisory
consulting experience.
In view of the turbulent changes the business environment is
undergoing in South Africa, there is a need for a company of

ZWINO the Name
Tshivenda is one of the eleven official
languages in South Africa. It is the
language of the Venda people and is
spoken mainly in northern Limpopo,
an area bordering Zimbabwe. Zwino
means “Now” in Tshivenda. Our
decision to use this name underpins
our work ethic of output and results.

Skills & Experience
Bob Govender
Bob’s work career started in the technical field and progressed to him moving
into senior management. To enhance his development he completed his MBA
in 1998. The skills he gained on the MBA programme as well as his leadership
ability allow him to integrate all aspects of his work into the business so as to
positively contribute to the bottom line. In his past role as the Public and
Corporate Affairs Manager of Venetia Mine Bob handled all aspects of public
relations and corporate social investment in the Limpopo province for De Beers
Consolidated Mines. He was also a member of the executive committee. More
recently he was responsible for leading Government Relations for Shell
Upstream in South Africa. Led and drove strategic engagements at all three
levels of Government namely National, Provincial and Local Government.
Philip van der Berg
Philip is an astute, knowledgeable and innovative Human Resources specialist
with an Honours degree and MBA and nine years experience in widespread
consulting. He is skilled in managing diversity, the full Human Resources
spectrum, Training, Process and Business Analyses and modeling. He is also an
accomplished project manager. He gained this experience as a Consultant to
multinational companies and project manager of large projects (R50 million) in
both the private and public sectors.

2. Mining Right Conversions and
Applications
Prepared and lodged all documentation
of the Mining Right Conversion for Rio
Tinto Palabora Mining Company (PMC).
In addition initiated a section 102
process to combine all their mining
rights into one mining right.
Successfully completed SEIA’s for De
Beers and Rio Tinto.
Presented a paper on a blueprint for
success in mining right conversions with
the DMR at a National Mining Rights
Conference.

Management Intervention with the Mine
Workers Development Agency.
4. Employment Equity
Trained and developed the responsible
person at Goldfields South Deep Mine
to interrogate, analyse and interpret all
EE related activities to move to
compliance and then to best practice.

Massmart’s EE strategy.

Successfully compiled Social and
Labour Plans for De Beers and Rio Tinto
PMC.
6. Enterprise development
Develop and implement a business plan
for a Marula Beneficiation Enterprise
with co-operation of the traditional
authorities and the Ba-Phalaborwa
Municipality, this included all aspects of
the management of the operation on a
day-to-day basis until it was able to
function independently, producing
Marula oil for sale to the cosmetic
industry.
Redevelop a restituted farm into a
commercial farm for the benefit of a
rural community, which included the
financial control, developing the
business plan and budgets and
ensuring that HR matters were dealt
with adequately.

Gheneez Munian
MBA graduate with special knowledge of General Management, Retail, BBBEE,
Stakeholder Relations, Community Development, Sustainable Development,
Enterprise Development, Government Relations, Corporate Affairs, Corporate
Social Investment in Oil and Gas Sector. Successfully established the Non-
Technical Team in country for a Shell South Africa Exploration to pursue
activities for an Oil and Gas Exploration Industry in SA. Developed and

investment plan aligned to government and development agenda. Positively

Sooren Ramdenee FCCA
An internationally experienced Managing Director/Chief Executive who has
successfully started up and transformed several businesses through deep
understanding of global financial institutions and commercial processes. Robust
negotiating skills have enabled successful dealings with a range of government
and private organisations at the highest level. A strong people and project
manager, who has led teams through change and retained staff through difficult
times. Worked in the United Kingdom, Mauritius and South Africa
Carl J Zeelie
Carl obtained his tertiary education through The Institute for Personnel
Management and, further qualifications UNISA and Stellenbosch Business
School. He is a Human Resources Management professional with 25 years of
effective provision of human resources services to the core business. His areas
of expertise include the establishment of an HR function, staffing the operation,
creating a learning organisation and change culture, creating and modifying
existing systems, drafting working procedures and implementing innovative
strategies aimed at efficiency, improved motivation and productivity. He also
has experience in establishing sound employee relationships, inclusive of
complimenting processes and procedures demanded by legislation and sober
pro-active management, thus minimizing potential conflict and industrial
