Take team approach to working with sellers, devising a marketing plan for promoting the property and getting it sold.  <br />The Franklin Institute Science Museum, 1984 – 1994<br />Positions held:  Group Sales Coordinator, Manager of Audience Development, and Assistant Director of Marketing Services<br />Staff and Department Management:  Managed Group Sales, Admissions, Reservations, Statistics and Research Departments—a combined staff of over 60 individuals.  Held leadership role in transitioning staff through period of major organizational transition.  Planned and managed staff and expense budgets for these Departments as well as the Museum’s advertising dollars.  <br />Customer Service:  Spearheaded customer services training for Marketing and frontline staff.  Wrote customer services handbook for use by Museum’s frontline departments.  Published monthly newsletter to reinforce standards.  Devised Train-the-Trainer program.  <br />Advertising:  Point person for advertising agency relationship, communication and overseeing Museum’s creative development and campaign needs.  <br />Promotions and Programs:  Maximized marketing and advertising dollars by developing mutually beneficial relationships with media and business outlets through innovative promotional tie-ins.  Coordinated all aspects of special programming to attract targeted audiences.  <br />Events:  Planned and managed all logistical details of special events designed to increase Museum attendance and awareness.  Worked with outside vendors and internal Museum departments to assure a smooth, successful event run on budget.  <br />Publication Production and Mailings:  Wrote and edited copy for Museum collateral and print ads.
