MISE EN SCENE AD THEORY
Bandura’s theory of media effects can be seen in the this music video. He suggests
that the media can implant ideas in the mid of the audience directly. For example in
this case the music video represents transgressive behavior such as violence through
the use of guns and showing gangs. This can therefore lead audience members to
imitate those forms of behavior. For example this will be more relatable to males as
they are more likely to be influence by such violent behavior in specific.
THEORY
Gerbner’s theory is also present in the video as he suggests that exposure to repeated
patterns of representation can shape and influence the way that the audience
perceives the world. For example through the use of violence, guns and portraying
gangs in the video the audience may get the idea that this is the way in which they
will have to deal with issues in their daily lifes, by reinforcing violence.
LIGHTNING
Throughout the video, the lighting used is natural lighting such as from candles or the
lighting that comes from the different objects in the video such as the colours of the
sirens of the police patrol cars.
