Beyond Boundaries: Leveraging No-Code Solutions for Industry Innovation
Reference Letter from Co-worker
1. Letter of Recommendation for Marguerite Tolliver
Ten years ago, I decided to change Career and get into the Data Processing World.
Quickly, I discovered that it could be a humbling experience without the right support
system. After going through the boot camp that taught me the basics of COBOL
programming, along with six of my coworkers that came from different fields of
specialization.
Luckily, Marguerite was assigned to be my Team Lead and mentor on my first
assignment, and through my first two years with my ITG group. Looking back now, I get
to appreciate her gentleness, and the ease she used to explain complex table handling
logic to me without raising her temper or her voice when I asked her about what I should
have been able to figure out. She volunteers her services, shares her knowledge if she
sees that I was struggling with an assignment.
A year later I was promoted to be Associate Application Developer. There is no doubt in
my mind; without her leadership showing me the way at that initial stage, I would have
lost my confidence like four of my former colleagues that participated and graduated
from the boot camp at De Paul University. They did not have the right support system
and mentors like I was fortunate to have. They had all quit the Data Processing Career
Path. Today, I am proud to say, I am a Senior Application Developer.
I highly recommend Marguerite for any position. She is a great team player, competent
individual that works independently without any mentoring or limited support.
