On this drawing you can easily see all
essential parts of the TEWE AIRFEED
II feeding system. The construction of
this system is absolutely compact and
extensively self-explanatory. In the room
next to the house you can see the
mixing station, here actually type pa­al­
r
lel mixing container. With this type you
can do parallel mixing and dosing. The
infeed of this mixing station will be
done by worm conveying systems. Built on the
top of the mixer you can
see additional additive
dosing devices. As necessary these devices can be
manually fed in and dosed out
automatically.

Next to the mixing station is the water
tank with water pump apart to guar­
antee an evenly water pressure. The
water pipe will be installed along with
the stainless steel feed pipe to the
feeding places. The particular feeding
places will not be supplied from a
central point but from by means of the
shortest way out of the feed pipe. In
case of needing liquid feeding places
the water will be dosed in just above
the trough at the end of the feed pipe.
That has the advantage of highest
cleanliness and hygiene at the feed
pipe outlet.

Airfeed II
Parallel Mixing Station
The parallel mixing station is consisting of a weighted mixer and a weighted buffer contain­
er. The parts contacting the feed are completely made of stainless steel (1.4301) except
the mixing screw which is made of wear-resistant steel. The station is ready mounted in
a very stable coated framework made of square profiles. Freestanding setup everywhere
possible. The devices mounted in the framework are easily accessible for service works.
•	
Mixing and dosing is going on simultaneously. Parallel to the mixing procedure the
dosing is going on so a dosing output up to 1,000 KG/h is possible.
•	
Funnel-formed vertical mixer with double bearing and effective mixer with capacity of up
to 30 KG per mixing process. The weighing system is working with 10 Gram resolution
for highest definition of the mixture formulations.
•	
The vertical mixer is fitted with an electro-pneumatically working double-flap for quick
emptying of the mixer. Dust-free forwarding to buffer container.

Rotary feeder
Compared to so far ‘’open’’ rotary feeders TEWE Elektronic made a new energy-effi­
cient development with an enduring hermetically sealed rotary feeder without airstream
through sewer port. Further advantages are:
•	 Sluice consists of lamella wheels each with 8 chambers strung on an axle.
•	
Lamella wheels made of special plastics, flexible and high-strength in construction,
thus low-wear and resistant against foreign material.
•	
Simple maintenance and cost-efficient spare parts since also single lamella wheels
can be substituted.
•	
The 8 chambers of the lamella wheels ensure a continuous feed dosing into the air
stream.
•	 Low energy consumption rate.
•	 Drive motor hermetically sealed and economical: only 40 W power input.

Pipe diverter
The pipe diverter developed by TEWE Elektronic is completely made of stainless steel
(1.4301) and is operated electro-pneumatically. This innovative new development is charac­
terized by some special details:
•	
Corresponding to the principal of fluid dynamics the pipe diverter has a fluid optimized
branch angle (= outlet angle from valve to feeding place). This is the reason for a) an im­
­
proved flowability especially of feed mixtures containing CCM, b) a better hygiene, c) less
wear of the diverter itself and finally less energy consumption.
•	
The pipe diverter can be used as branch (distribution behind the rotary feeder to transmis­
sion lines 2, 3, 4 etc.) as well as discharge valve. The pipe diverter can be assembled under
every spatial condition. Simplest mounting by single pipe system.
•	 is only one moveable flap (made of stainless steel) in the valve, with Teflon coating on

inner surface. Flap with exterior arresting bolt, therefore simplest servicing. Absolutely
stable construction of all mechanical components guarantees long economic life-time of
the device.
•	
The switching mechanism of the feed pipe (open/close) is reacting in matter of seconds
and guarantees a very fast discharging from feeding place to feeding place what effects a
highly effective discharging output of this feeding system.
•	
Because of the mirror image-like construction of the pipe diverter the opening mechanism
can be installed on the left or on the right side of the diverter.
•	
Due to the exceedingly small construction of the pipe diverter it is possible to do assembly
directly on a wall of a barn.

Automatic Feeder and Trough Systems
For various purposes it is possible to do infeed to different feeding places with the AIRFEED
II feeding system.
•	 Every kind of automatic feeder for dry or mash feed: In these cases infeed will be done via
•	 new developed cyclone. This cyclone has a fluid-optimized shape which causes an espe­
a
cially efficient separation of air and feed, and will result in an almost dust-free infeed to the
automatic feeders.
•	
TEWE oval trough made of stainless steel, especially for piglet groups of 25 to 30 piglets,
from 6 to 30 KG: Especially suited for liquid feed mixtures for piglets. Compared to the wellknown round troughs the oval trough with bigger circumference (=more feeding places!)
provides also a fast and even mixing and distribution of the pouring in liquid feeding.
•	
Short and long troughs, made of stainless steel, for piglets and fatteners, optionally with
superstructure for free standing in the pen, or without superstructure for assembly in the
partition wall. Length and height of the troughs according requirement, depending on
quantity and age of the pig group.
•	 these trough systems have the same advantages: Highest hygiene level because of

simple cleaning and disinfection of the complete trough. Highest hygiene level also at
trough outlet pipe as mixing of feed and water (arbitrary water/feed-ration) is done at pipe
outlet directly above the trough.

  • 3. Airfeed II - simple - flexible - good Airfeed II On this drawing you can easily see all essential parts of the TEWE AIRFEED II feeding system. The construction of this system is absolutely compact and extensively self-explanatory. In the room next to the house you can see the mixing station, here actually type pa­al­ r lel mixing container. With this type you can do parallel mixing and dosing. The infeed of this mixing station will be done by worm conveying systems. Built on the top of the mixer you can see additional additive dosing devices. As necessary these devices can be manually fed in and dosed out automatically. Next to the mixing station is the water tank with water pump apart to guar­ antee an evenly water pressure. The water pipe will be installed along with the stainless steel feed pipe to the feeding places. The particular feeding places will not be supplied from a central point but from by means of the shortest way out of the feed pipe. In case of needing liquid feeding places the water will be dosed in just above the trough at the end of the feed pipe. That has the advantage of highest cleanliness and hygiene at the feed pipe outlet. Consequently this system is most flex­ ibly applicable for all possible situations in pig keeping. 3
  • 4. Airfeed II Parallel Mixing Station The parallel mixing station is consisting of a weighted mixer and a weighted buffer contain­ er. The parts contacting the feed are completely made of stainless steel (1.4301) except the mixing screw which is made of wear-resistant steel. The station is ready mounted in a very stable coated framework made of square profiles. Freestanding setup everywhere possible. The devices mounted in the framework are easily accessible for service works. • Mixing and dosing is going on simultaneously. Parallel to the mixing procedure the dosing is going on so a dosing output up to 1,000 KG/h is possible. • Funnel-formed vertical mixer with double bearing and effective mixer with capacity of up to 30 KG per mixing process. The weighing system is working with 10 Gram resolution for highest definition of the mixture formulations. • The vertical mixer is fitted with an electro-pneumatically working double-flap for quick emptying of the mixer. Dust-free forwarding to buffer container. • quick and safe emptying to the rotary feeder the weighted buffer container is fitted For with a motor-powered discharging device. Advantage: restless emptying, that means highest hygiene level and separation of the mixtures. • Mixing motor 0.75 KW 380/400 V in highly effective and power-saving version with spur gear. Coupling disk with starter cushioning. • Motor discharging device with merely 40 Watt at 380/400 V. Discharging device with gear sparing drive by chain. Chain completely enclosed – accident-proof, durable. Rotary feeder Compared to so far ‘’open’’ rotary feeders TEWE Elektronic made a new energy-effi­ cient development with an enduring hermetically sealed rotary feeder without airstream through sewer port. Further advantages are: • Sluice consists of lamella wheels each with 8 chambers strung on an axle. • Lamella wheels made of special plastics, flexible and high-strength in construction, thus low-wear and resistant against foreign material. • Simple maintenance and cost-efficient spare parts since also single lamella wheels can be substituted. • The 8 chambers of the lamella wheels ensure a continuous feed dosing into the air stream. • Low energy consumption rate. • Drive motor hermetically sealed and economical: only 40 W power input. 4  
  • 5. Airfeed II Pipe diverter The pipe diverter developed by TEWE Elektronic is completely made of stainless steel (1.4301) and is operated electro-pneumatically. This innovative new development is charac­ terized by some special details: • Corresponding to the principal of fluid dynamics the pipe diverter has a fluid optimized branch angle (= outlet angle from valve to feeding place). This is the reason for a) an im­ ­ proved flowability especially of feed mixtures containing CCM, b) a better hygiene, c) less wear of the diverter itself and finally less energy consumption. • The pipe diverter can be used as branch (distribution behind the rotary feeder to transmis­ sion lines 2, 3, 4 etc.) as well as discharge valve. The pipe diverter can be assembled under every spatial condition. Simplest mounting by single pipe system. • is only one moveable flap (made of stainless steel) in the valve, with Teflon coating on It inner surface. Flap with exterior arresting bolt, therefore simplest servicing. Absolutely stable construction of all mechanical components guarantees long economic life-time of the device. • The switching mechanism of the feed pipe (open/close) is reacting in matter of seconds and guarantees a very fast discharging from feeding place to feeding place what effects a highly effective discharging output of this feeding system. • Because of the mirror image-like construction of the pipe diverter the opening mechanism can be installed on the left or on the right side of the diverter. • Due to the exceedingly small construction of the pipe diverter it is possible to do assembly directly on a wall of a barn. Automatic Feeder and Trough Systems For various purposes it is possible to do infeed to different feeding places with the AIRFEED II feeding system. • Every kind of automatic feeder for dry or mash feed: In these cases infeed will be done via • new developed cyclone. This cyclone has a fluid-optimized shape which causes an espe­ a cially efficient separation of air and feed, and will result in an almost dust-free infeed to the automatic feeders. • TEWE oval trough made of stainless steel, especially for piglet groups of 25 to 30 piglets, from 6 to 30 KG: Especially suited for liquid feed mixtures for piglets. Compared to the wellknown round troughs the oval trough with bigger circumference (=more feeding places!) provides also a fast and even mixing and distribution of the pouring in liquid feeding. • Short and long troughs, made of stainless steel, for piglets and fatteners, optionally with superstructure for free standing in the pen, or without superstructure for assembly in the partition wall. Length and height of the troughs according requirement, depending on quantity and age of the pig group. • these trough systems have the same advantages: Highest hygiene level because of All simple cleaning and disinfection of the complete trough. Highest hygiene level also at trough outlet pipe as mixing of feed and water (arbitrary water/feed-ration) is done at pipe outlet directly above the trough. 5
