This document summarizes a study on the acute toxicity of neem (Azadirachta indica) leaf extracts on the snake headed fish, Channa gachua. The study found that the 24, 48, 72, and 96 hour LC50 values for C. gachua exposed to neem leaf extracts were 21.80, 19.59, 13.95, and 11.18 g/l respectively, indicating increased toxicity over longer exposure times. Exposed fish showed alterations in behavior and distress signs with increasing extract concentration and exposure time. Some hematological parameters like blood glucose and hemoglobin were also significantly affected in exposed fish compared to controls. The results provide information on the toxic effects of neem extracts
