MODEL-Gracie Fletcher (17, beautiful and kooky looking-perfect for
target audience, same as front cover)
CAMERA HEIGHT/ANGLE/DISTANCE-High angle looking
down slightly diagonally at the model lying on the grass, mid shot.
LOCATION-Private gardens, lovely grassy area
LIGHTING-Natural lighting, will try with flash though as it will be done
at night. Will probably change contrast and brightness in Photoshop later.
MISE EN SCENE(INCLUDING PROPS/COSTUMES)-
Slightly daring unique dress, black to show a gothic, pirate-like look, eye
patch.
ATTEMPTED CONNOTATION-That although this woman is a
celebrity, she still hangs out in the park, which will make her relatable and
more human to my audience. The image will imply some sort of rebellion
and almost seductiveness; this will attract both sexes and will make her
live up to the icon described in the article. The fact she will be lying down
could imply exhaustion from partying and the rock n’ roll lifestyle,
something many people aspire to and wish they could be part of.
PLANNED DENOTATION-A young woman lying on her back on
a grassy area, arms on either side, looking subtly towards the camera in a
mysterious manner, wearing something black and rebellious, hair messy,
pirate eye patch.
CONTINGENCY-If the weather is not reasonable or my model is ill, I
have allowed three other days to choose from so we will get it done at
some point.
POSITIONING ON DPS-Stretching all the way across both page,
more central to left hand page.
DETAILS OF EDITING-Will make the sides fade to black, almost
like a spotlight on the model, will make contrast slightly higher and perhaps
make her eyes a stronger colour.
THINKING POINTS-Centre the image to the left hand side, make
sure that she is visible in photos as it will be dark.
