Reason Dark Arts production plan to use the Kitchen to film a scene that requires the
location of the kitchen. In the kitchen scene, the actress would be using
kitchen appliances such as toaster, butter knife. We would also be using food
such as bread and butter.
Risk The kitchen is a risky location to film, we could encounter:
-knives and sharp objects= cuts skin/ can seriously injure crew/production
members
- Liquids/hot liquids= burns skin/ damage filming equipment
-Cooker/microwave= can cause fires which can damage equipment as well as
seriously injuring a crew member
-Glassware= delicate and fragile, can break easily and cut skin

-Keep liquids and hot liquids afar from equipment and out of reach
-Make sure cookers/microwave is switched off
-Turn off electrical appliances when not needed
-Make sure there are no liquids on floor to avoid slipping

Kitchen 2 Recce
• Both Kitchen’s have its advantages and disadvantages, however we opted to choose Kitchen
2 which is the house on commercial road, this is because this house is available to us when
we need to film. It was very difficult choosing a house to film in because we couldn’t find
houses that would be suitable for us to film-as many households are busy. Ultimately, Kitchen
2 seems more suitable for the character as the character is living by herself, and most London
apartments for people who live by themselves are small, also small houses/apartment adds
to the horror film- it seems as if the the house is small and trapping our character.

Recce: Bathroom 1
Location London, Stepney Green: Bathroom
Reason Dark Arts production plan to use the Bathroom to film a scene that
requires the location of the bathroom. In the bathroom scene, the
actress would be using the Bathroom cabinet to grab her
medication bottle and consuming it.
Risk The bathroom is a risky location to film, we could encounter:
-sharp objects: Corners of cabinets and drawers
-Water/liquids: on the floor, dangers of slipping and falling, or
injuring
-As we are dealing with medication, we must ensure that the
medicine is fake and any real medicines must be out of reach and
absent from the bathroom.
-Bathroom 1 is smaller than Bathroom 2

tape corners to avoid direct contact
-Ensure that before filming, the floor is dry and clean to avoid
slipping.
-Keep other/real medicines absent/out of reach
-As the Bathroom is small- we might find it difficult to film.

• Both Bathroom 1 and Bathroom 2 are
dissimilar as Bathroom 1 is smaller whereas
Bathroom 2 is slightly bigger which gives us
space to film and include large equipment.

Reason Dark Arts production plan to use the Living Room to film a scene that
requires the location of the Living room. In the Living room scene, the actress
would be eating, watching TV,
Risk The Living room is not a very risky location, however we must be prepared to
face dangers:
-sharp objects: using fork for eating an dropping it= has sharp edges can
injure people
-Water/liquids: any water or liquids around can damage destroy equipment
-Part of the scene include spilling pills onto floor, this can be dangerous as
people can slip or may be eaten by pets
Level of Risk Low
Precautions -Keep sharp objects far and be aware/cautious of sharp corners, the fork
must only be used when filming.
-Ensure that before filming, all liquids are out of reach.
-Pick up fake pills up after the scene to avoid any people/animals from
consuming it

Recce: Living Room 2
• Both Living Room 1 and Living room 2 are viable options however
we opted for Living Room 2 because it’s safer and it’s seems to add
the horror effect because it’s small and it seems the wall are
closing in on her.

the Living room. In the Living room scene, the actress would be eating, watching TV,

Reason Dark Arts production plan to use the Green Screen room to film a scene that
requires the location of a news report room. In the Green Screen room the
actor will be sitting on a desk in front of the green screen. Also we will be
using the green screen room to take picture of the poster.
Risk The green screen is not a very risky location, however we must be prepared
to face dangers:
-sharp objects: desks, equipment, props
-Tripping over electrical cords
Level of Risk Low
Precautions -Keep sharp objects far and be aware/cautious of sharp corners, tape the
corners of corners.
-Ensure that all electrical cords are kept neatly aside and out of the path of
the production crew/actor.

Recce: A plain white background (classroom)
• Both the green screen room and classroom for a white background are viable
options, however as a group we opted for the green screen room because the
green screen would give us the option of using a professional news background
and the risks are low. However, the green screen room is small therefore we
need to be aware of the limited space around us.

Reason Dark Arts production plan to use the plain white background to film a scene that requires the
location of a news report room. The actor will be sitting on a desk in front of the white wall.
Risk The classroom in which we will be using the plain white wall background is not a very risky
location, however we must be prepared to face dangers:
-sharp objects: desks, equipment, props
-Tripping over electrical cords
