2. Scholomance
Scholomance is a popular legend of Romania tells that
Scholomance was a school of black magic directed by
the Devil . It was located near an unnamed lake, in the
mountains south of the city of Sibiu in Transylvania.The
Devil teaches the secrets of nature, the language of
animals and all the spells of magic. Only ten students are
admitted at the same time and, when the learning stage
ends, nine of them are released to return to their homes.
3. However the Devil holds the tenth student as payment
and mounts it in a Zmeu (a dragon).He becomes Devil's
field helper and assists him in the "realization of
(meteorological) weather", that is, in the preparation of
lightning. In a small abysmal lake, located in the highest
part of the mountains to the south of Sibiu, one is
supposedly the caldera where the ray is elaborated and
when the weather is good, the dragon sleeps under the
waters.
