2. After my pitch

final scene andmore focuson the camera shotsand editingworkinordertoadd more tensionandmake itmore realisticforwhatsomeone inthat
situationwouldbe goingthrough.

5. What? What are the impacts on the film? Legal impact How might I resolve any ethical issues?
Certificate rating for the film In my filmI won’t be able to swear
very often, and I can’t show too
much violence as it is a 15+ film. As
well as that I couldn’t show any
torture scenes or sex scenes as that
could only be for 18+ films.
The British Board of Film Classification is in
charge of the age certificate in the UK. If
you do not adhere to what they say for that
age rating they can increase the age rating
which will reduce the amount of people
that are able to watch your filmand may
impact what age ranges you want the film
to appeal to.
I will make sure that I follow all the
guidelines of the BBFC in order to make
sure that as many people are able to
watch my short filmfor my intended
target audience.
Content considerations My filmmay have some sensitivity
themes about abuse which may be
hard for some viewer to watch if
they have had past experiences with
it. This means I need to filmthis in a
way that means it will not offend any
of them and will need to choose the
words for my script well as well.
I may have to put helplines at the end of
the film so that if anyone is affected by the
film, they will sort help in order for them
not to have a long-term impact on their
lives because of the film.
I will make sure that I do not upset
anyone with very graphic or over dramatic
scenes. I will also put helplines in my film
as well.
Online upload considerations Length: Films need to be 40 minutes
or less. We prefer most films sit on
the shorter end of that spectrum—
the average filmwe feature is 10
minutes. The longer your film(over
15 minutes), the tougher judges we
tend to be.
Premiere Status: No premiere status
is required; however, we give
preference to films that haven’t yet
