Actors
The main actor in my film will be played by Matthew
Ballantine, he will play Ricky the lost boy. I think he fits this
roll well as he is a good actor and will be able to get into
role well, it was difficult finding someone who would fit this
role well. I used him for my photoshoot before and he was
good so I think it is a safe assumption he will work well for
this unit.
Ben Left is going to play the main police officer role, he is well
suited for this role because of his background with drama and
performing arts which were both A-levels that he took. Ben is
perfect for the role because of the persona he has. I think the
3. way he speaks and his presence in a room is perfect for a police
officer.
James is a brilliant fit for the role of Dave (Ricky’s
father), whilst he can give off an intimidating and
aggressive persona which is exactly what I need he
can also be good at heart which is what I am going for
in the start of the film, Dave starts off caring about
Ricky and seeming like he is upset that he is lost,
James would be able to deal with the change of
emotion perfectly I believe.
Crew
I will likely be dealing with all of the camera, lighting and recording of
the film in general, Ben is also a media student so could definitely
help with these sorts of things if he is not in the scene, Lucas
Mckenna-Wait is also playing the less important second officer so
would be able to help as a crew member whilst he is not being
filmed.

Launch Dates
I have decided it would be best to launch the film around July time, it
ties in well with my theme in the sense of the main part being a
chase, action usually releases in the summer and I believe this would
link well.
Budget
For my budget I am aiming for around the £100 mark, there is a lot of
small things that will add up. With costumes such as outfits for
policemen or old ragged clothes for the main character, this would
already come to quite a large total. If I am out shooting for a whole
day I’d likely buy lunch for everyone on the team thanking them for
their work, this would still add to the total no matter how
insignificant. I will not be able to shoot the whole film in a single day
probably and would maybe need more than one lunch for everyone.
Lighting and possibly renting out some locations would also add to
the cost. I believe this should all total to just around the £100 mark.
Revised Key Scene Material
I revised my key scenes and
decided to add more of a back
story to why Ricky ran away, the
board suggested this as the
audience really wasn’t aware of
why he left in the first place. I
already had a back story in my
head it just wasn’t part of the
film necessarily, I intended for
this film to definitely have a prequel to see what his father did to him
7. which would’ve explained a lot but I think giving the audience more
of an idea which is crucial. I provided a screenshot of part of a script
for my film, you can see this is an extra scene in an interrogation
room where Ricky is being questioned about what his father did. This
is the start of the scene and Ricky gives the officers a general idea of
what happened to him but wasn’t very comfortable with talking
about it as expected.
