The first thing that was added was the
jingle. This had been created before hand
to make sure that it would fit in well with
what we was going to produce for our main
task . The yellow line shown is how much it
will fade out at the end and the grey line
that is descending shows the volume
levels. It had to be decreased and faded
out so it wasn’t too overpowering when the
presenter started to talk.
Next the main tasked was inserted and this was split up so that there was room for the
other elements to be added. Such as the interviews and vox pops. The yellow lines are
shown again as for each clip that was split had to be faded in or out otherwise there
would be such an obvious cut and that wouldn’t sound as good or professional as it does
with the fades. As this was recorded in the studio and not using a dictaphone the volume
levels were really high and they had to be lowered quite a lot to fit in with the rest of the
work.
The nextthingthat wasaddedwas the interview andthe presenterforthe interview.Thistookplace
inAustraliasoit isalsoan outside broadcast.Before thiswasinsertedintothe mainwork,ithadto
be editedasthe soundlevelshadtobe decreased.The presentedhadtodo herpiece again,sothat

and out. It was a very simple
thing to do and didn’t take much
time to do. It was just a case of
making sure that you didn’t fade
out too much so that the speech
would completely disappear
through a conversation or the
presenter giving the news.
The yellow line represents the
volume levels. It was just a
case of moving it up and down
to find out what would sound
good and match the other
elements of the main piece.
This was our completed main task shown in audition and it is within the time limit that
was set. It contains all the elements that were set by the exam board and it has all been
edited so that it will sound professional.
We had to name the piece of work and
make sure that it would be saved into the
right place before we exported it. This didn’t
take long to do.
Once the audio was exported it had to put into adobe premiere which is very simple to
use. The audio was inserted and then we had to find an image appropriate for our radio
station. This was layered over the top of the audio, so that when it was playing it wasn’t
just blank.
The export setting for premiere were more or less the same as the one on audition. It
had to be saved into the right placed and had an appropriate name. The only thing we
had to make sure was that it would export as an AVI file. This wasn’t a long process
either.
Once it had been exported from premiere it had to be uploaded onto youtube and this
took quite a while to do. It had to have the correct name and this is how people would
access our finished work.
This is our completed work. Uploaded onto youtube so the link could just be put straight
into blogger and then accessed.

  • 5. The export setting for premiere were more or less the same as the one on audition. It had to be saved into the right placed and had an appropriate name. The only thing we had to make sure was that it would export as an AVI file. This wasn’t a long process either. Once it had been exported from premiere it had to be uploaded onto youtube and this took quite a while to do. It had to have the correct name and this is how people would access our finished work. This is our completed work. Uploaded onto youtube so the link could just be put straight into blogger and then accessed.
