John Madin is one of Birmingham's best known architects. He's perhaps best known as the architect behind Birmingham's brutalist Central Library.

A man concerned with change - looking forward 100 years, work affecting the lives of the public, humble outlook: architects not worthy of creating environments that affect so many people, every effort to do his best in addressing vast problems in urban areas.

This is down to us (the people interested in architecture, design, placemaking, placeshaping) to share knowledge, raise awareness and understanding of buildings, give them an identity, in a way that everyone can understand It’s not ugly, just misunderstood
