2. Designed ads for many
businesses in Sanpete
1. A color ad that ran in
the newspaper, and
several supplements
during the year. Rose was
superimposed on 3D invitation
image. Image of couple was
provided.
3. 2. Another color ad.
I created
background, took
pictures of staff and
entrees, chose type
styles and laid out
the ad.
4. 3. Logo was
provided, but I
came up with the
idea that the auto
body owner loves
demo derbys,
“Wrecks them for
fun, fixes them for a
living.” The ad was
very successful.
5. 4. Ad designed to
appeal to older
couples on
anniversaries, as
well as honeymoon
couples. Took
photo, designed ad.
6. 5. More than 10 years
experience laying out
newspapers.
Convinced
conservative publisher
that we should reverse
type on fire story.
This front page won
best front page by the
Utah Press
Association in Class 3
newspapers that year.
7. 6. Designed many brochures for cities, businesses and
organizations. Understand procedures for producing
high quality printing products.
8. 8. Front of
brochures using
background
imagery to create
the mood the
business wanted.

one of my
references, and

9. 9. Series of ads in
black and white,
showing difference
counseling
services Blair
offers.
10. 10. Designed logos,
Kopy Katz, a new
copy center, and Malt
Shop, who were
opening a store and
remodeling their “look”
and wanted an image
to represent a retro
’50s image.
11. 11. To give smaller
advertisers more
impact, decided to
use one compelling
image to represent
dance studios.
Six advertisers split
the cost of a full
page ad in the
Celebrating the
Season
supplement.
12. 12. Willing to go to extraordinary lengths to get the right
look. Made six trips to Nephi to set up photos (had to get
waivers from patients being photographed), in this ad series
that ran for a year. These are just a few of the ads.
13. 13. Cleaned up and simplified city maps for phonebook project in Illustrator.
