3. Film Poster
• We have taken huge inspiration from this
film poster as we felt it fits in perfectly with
what we are trying to achieve. The guitar
acts as a jail cell connoting that you are
trapped/locked out of the music industry
until you are signed to a label.
• We would like to recreate a similar poster
focusing on this idea.
• We want to focus on a main image – which
will be the body of the poster – This image
will be a large bird cage with an open door –
the bird will be exiting the cage – The bird
will represent a signed band
• We will then place our ‘signed’ logo
underneath
• Below that will be print which will include
cast – production company etc – this will be
in ‘SF MOVIE FONT’.
4. Magazine Page 1
• The first page of Double page spread will be text orientated
towards the text element of the article. This page one image,
which will be relatively small in size. It will appear within the
central column beneath which the image will be caption
explaining what is happening in the image.
• With regards to text the page will feature a title of ‘Signed’
which will appear in a bold font in white colour to contrast the
black background.
• The text will appear in 3 columns, the text will be an objective
review, assessing the narrative, quality and execution of the
production.
• There will be no pull quotes in the article as this is not
conventional for a review aimed at this more sophisticated
audience.
• The background will be black or navy blue and will feature white
writing
5. Magazine Page 2
• Page 2 will feature a large image related to the production- the shoot will be a medium shot
or medium close up as this is conventional. The artist needs to appear vunerable in the shoot
therefore it will be at a slight low angle. Furthermore the artist wont be directly addressing
the audience.
• The basis of page 2 will be the image, which will appear in either black and white or greyscale
