My Hero Definition
The definition of hero to each person can be thought of differently. To most, a hero is someone indestructible, inhuman and impossibly physically
strong. I cannot be classified as such, but I consider myself to be my own hero, as I wish everyone would believe. Throughout life, one picks up
many characteristics and develops similar traits to those around us and those we admire. Hopefully, these traits are positive and shape one into what or
who they wish to become. Learning from others and oneself, the goal of life, ultimately, is to become one's own hero. As a child, the only people that
most children look up to are their parents. Thus, a bounteous amount of the traits we imitate are from our parents. Whether these traits are positive or

Hero My Mom
The Super Hero I Call Mom
My mother occupies a special place in my heart that can never be replaced. She became pregnant with me at the age of nineteen. Being a young,
single mother, she had to overcome difficult obstacles to get us to where we are today. Life was tough and there were many times where she just
wanted to give up, but she was determined to turn her life around for the better. She ingrained a lifetime worth of advice into my head but it was her
actions that taught me that the struggles I will face now will make me stronger in the end.
As a senior in high school, my mother was the colonel of the drill team and was preparing for college when life threw a major curve ball her way.
Once she realized she was pregnant with me, she had to change her lifestyle entirely. With no support, financially or emotionally from my father,
my mother had to do it "all on her own." This greatly affected my mother because even to this day she is still playing a role as both a mother and
father figure, and has never complained or failed to follow through with any of her responsibilities. Raising me was especially hard for my mother
because she lacked financial stability. There were times when she didn't even have enough money for a bottle of formula. Her parents allowed her to
stay at home with them but she was required to pay rent in exchange for my grandmother babysitting me while she worked as receptionist at a local
chemical plant.
Working at the chemical plant and seeing her

Definition Essay On My Hero
What is a hero? Well.. to me, a hero is someone that people look up to. Heroes set example for their followers. They are usually courageous, brave,
and willing to do anything to protect who and what they love, even if it costs them their lives. Take a look around; hero's are everywhere. People
have their own versions of their heroes and people who they look up to. They do not have to be dressed fancy or look any different than anyone
else.My grandmother is my hero. I look up to her because she has all the qualities of a hero. When my mother past away she is the one that took me
and my sister under her wing. She has opened up her home to us and gave us a place the stay. When I did not have a car, she took both me and my

My Hero Is A Hero
I normally never have trouble writing essays, but when my teacher told us we would have to write about our Michigan hero, my mind went blank.
Once I thought about it, I had many names racing through my head but I kept coming back to one. However I brushed it off and went through the
names one more time. As my description of a hero became clearer, I found myself back to the person I first had thought of:my mom.
Robin Renee Yancer was born December, 4th, 1983. Maybe she's not as patient, brave or selfless as most. So you may ask, How is she a hero?
When I think of a hero none of those words come to mind. My mom has stuck by me through everything, when my dad first left my world became
cold, I felt unwanted. Only four at the time I didn't see how a parent could just do this to a child or how in the long run it could be a good thing
someone with that much meaning could just vanish and eventually you wouldn't care. Every time I time I cried over people's stupidity she never
judged me but instead took me into her arms and there I stayed protected from the world. We moved around a lot when I was little and Coleman,Mi
is the place where I have stayed the longest. There has come times when my mom is going through some rough things but she doesn't abandon me,
she is still there taking care of me. She could be crying herself to sleep, not caring about the world and still speak these words to me, ''I want us to
both be able to be happy, it's not about me being happy anymore.'' In my

My Definition Of A Hero
A Hero
A hero do you know what to real hero is not a person who got bit by a spider and got powers a human who made a sick person better or anything else .
A hero is what you need to save you or a normal person doing a great thing.
I will be telling you my definition of hero a hero is selfless , brave , and loyal.
A selfless hero will sacrifice their own life for millions of others no matter what. Most heroes are selfless risking their life for someone else's this means
they might die but it is worth it to save lives. This a a huge part of being a hero to me if you would die to save millions you're a hero to some or many.
"A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself."–By Joseph CampBell. This is true when the titanic crashed the
engines knew that they had a job to do to keep the bout up for as long as they could, they kepted the power on engine running they sacrificed them self
to save others."Then given to the world the best you have. And the best will come back to you."–By Madeline Bridges. The story of Esther, it is a great
and wonderful example of selflessness.A queen married a angry king , the queen's cousin Mordecai tells her that her husband wants to kill at the jews.
The queen knows she must save the jew and herself from the king so she then asks King Xerxes to stop Hamon but she knows that if she goes up to
the king without permission she can be killed so she tells her cousin "then I will go to the king, though it is

Have you ever thought or even considered who your hero was? I never really took this into huge consideration or even thought hard about it. I
realized my hero is closer and more real than I expected. My heroes are my adopted parents. They took my sister and me into their already big family,
so we could have a better life. This shows me that there are great and unselfish people out there. Hero's come in all different forms and change your life
for the better.
My family isn't perfect by any means, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I was taken away at a small age from my real parents along with my
older sister, and younger brother. My birth parents were into bad habits and weren't ready to take on a big family. My sister and I got to stay
together and live with my aunt and uncle that are now my parents. My younger brother couldn't live with us because there wasn't enough room for
him and my adopted parents already had two kids of their own. He is staying with my other aunt and uncle and is living a great and happy life with
them. We are all still close and get to see each other whenever we want so it works out. We were all adopted at young ages so it was easier to adjust
too. I sometimes wish that things were another way but I wouldn't have the life I have now without my parents.
Even though I don't realize it most the time; my parents are great and would do anything for me. I honestly don't know what I would do without
them. They gave me such a good life, and I've made so many great memories with them. I wouldn't trade them for anyone. That is why they are my
hero's, they never fail to amaze me and would go above and beyond for me. I know they want to provide everything for me and to give me
everything that I want. I always wanted to fit in with everyone and get the new trends, but my parents taught me that if I really want something I
have to work for it. They are getting me ready for life by making me pay for most of my things, and making me a responsible young lady. I have
learned that, by not working for what you want won't teach you anything valuable for when I live on my own. I know it may be tough sometimes but
I will have more knowledge of taking care of things by myself instead of always having

Everyone of God's creatures has a different judgement about what a hero is. They come in many forms, dimensions, have different features, morals,
and principles. For me, a hero is someone who will put a hundred percent determination into shielding you from any type of pain. They will never stop
providing you with the refuge of safety; and will share with you the information required for survival. Ahero doesn't have to have faultless person, high

A hero is supposed to have huge effects on one's life. My mom is my hero in numerous ways, not just because she is my mom and I love her, but
because of how she overpowered struggles in her adolescence. My mom has a solid sense of guidance, because of the fact that she basically raised
her three brothers and sisters. When asked to do anything, she never hesitated to get the duty accomplished. My mom as shown me right from wrong

She is my role model and she has always been there for me. Even though many people have role models and hero–worship those that are well–known I
try and imitate myself after my mother. I do this because she has never done anything incorrect in my judgments. She has always made the choices
that put others first and the ones that guarantee the security and best interest of her household. That to me shows that she is a very caring and loving

My Hero : My Mother As A Hero
Everybody has heard of a hero and needs a hero in their life. From Clark Kent really being Superman to Paul in the new movie "Downsizing", there are
everyman heroes to superheroes. In my eyes, I see my mother as a hero. She's not just a hero to me. She's a hero to plenty of people in her life. She's
my personal hero because of her journey. That would categorize her as an everyman hero because she's relatable to everyman and woman. To illustrate
her heroic journey, I would have to start at the beginning.
The beginning is before she had her stroke. Ten years ago, my brother was about to graduate high school and my mother was living a healthy,
fulfilling life or so she thought. My mother was known for outdrinking the men and partying hard. She didn't allow being a mother prevent her from
having a good time. She favored having so much of a good time that she neglected my brother and I. This was her ordinary world.
Three months after my brother graduated, my mother had a terrible stroke. It was so terrible it left her right side entirely paralyzed. She found
herself disabled, not able to speak, and having to learn how to do the basic motor skills all over again. It's as if someone pressed a reset button on her
life. My mother was devastated as was I. As you may have guessed it, this was her call to adventure.
And of course, like most people before her, she refused to adapt to a new way of living. No longer able to party, she had to rely on someone to care for
her. For the

Why My Grandpa Is My Hero?
Some people say that a hero is strong, tall, and have amazing super power. A real hero is someone that is selfless and never gives up. My grandpa
is my hero because he has community, grit, and is caring. He worked at Koch Industries for about 40 years before he retired. My grandpa is my hero
because of how well he shows community. When he visits he is always wanting to help around the house. He repairs and builds things for other people
without a profit. Teaching others about theworld and business is his specialty. Therefore, having community makes my grandpa a hero.
Having grit plays a big part in why my grandpa is a hero. If he gets frustrated he never gives up. Once something has been started he finishes it. When

Heroes; something we all aspire to be, but easily recognize in others. Wait, how do we define what makes a hero, a hero? A hero is one who is
kind, courageous, smart, determined and selfless. They often do what is better for the greater good and not themselves. This is seen in both Greek
and Modern heroes, whether it is cutting off Medusa's head or defeating the Riddler, they show these qualities in one way or another. We also see
these qualities in parents, true everyday heroes. While they may not have super strength or the ability to fly, parents are the ultimate heroes in our
lives, for they love for us without judgement and will always be there when we need them most. My father, William Romero, is ahero since it takes a

Someone who does not care about their family would never put themselves through this, but my dad does, and that is what makes him my hero. In
addition to the heroic quality of being caring, he is also remarkably determined. Determined, something I have always known my father to be.
Often times, when my dad sets his sights on a goal, there is nothing stopping him from reaching it. One of my best memories of this was that for
an entirety of two years he called into every radio contest that was raffling off Disneyland tickets, just so I may see Disneyland once in my life.
With how dedicated my father was, he eventually won tickets and we went to Disneyland. While this may seem trifling, it was a huge deal in our
family, as we were often too poor to even attempt to buy tickets, but through my dad being the insistent person he is, he called in every day until he
won tickets. Someone with bona fide determination would keep doing this every day for two years, even if the probability of not winning was high.
Christmas time is another example of my father and his determined mindset. To be more specific, he is always insistent on our family having the best
Christmas ever. This ranges from stringing lights on the house with me in bone chilling, 30 degree weather, picking out a beautiful, fragrant tree and
getting gifts for our
Romero 3 family. In reality, this is all a lot of work that only an undaunted person can carry out year after year, even

If you ask any kid who their hero is they will most likely say their parents. And in my case, it's still my dad. He has overcome a lot of adversities in
his life that makes him who he is today, which is my hero. A hero doesn't have to slay dragons sometimes all they have to do is follow their dreams.
They all must go through some difficult times to help them understand that they want something better for themselves and as motivation to get there.
My dad grew up in a small town called Verona, North Dakota where he and hisfamily farmed. I remember him always telling me when I was a kid,
"when I was your age I would have to feed the pigs and they were so mean that I would throw the food in and run." I think he knew from a young
age that this wasn't something he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He never liked the town either and how fast gossip spread. But his dad was
pretty admit on giving all the kids a piece of land so they could keep the farm in the family. My dad was torn on whether he should follow his
dreams of getting out of the small town or stay for his family. He ultimately decided to go to college and follow his dreams, by going to NDSU for
business. His family wasn't too thrilled with his choice to leave, but he knew it was right for him. While going to college he worked at a part–time job
and during the summers he had two jobs. Then during the fall he would help his family during harvest. Though the classes were tough and he had
a lot on his plate he knew it was for a better future and whenever the going got tough he would remind himself that he could be cleaning out a horse
stables or working with tractors and it always got him back on track. This really motivates me to go after my dreams and know that everything will
work out. He supports my sister and me to follow our dreams and push our limits. Even though it took him five years to graduate, since he missed
school for harvest each year, he graduated from NDSU. He got a job working for Great Plains Software where he started a job that he really enjoy.
But since he was just out of college and was new at this place he worked constantly. He would only come home to eat and shower and then go back to
work until the wee hours in the

My Hero As A Hero
As a child, a hero to me was someone with superpowers; such as Superman, the Flash, and more. Later I learned that heroes do not always need to be
someone who has extraordinary features. Heros don't need to have to have high importance in society or have a classic sandwich named after them in

When I was about seven I had realized that my mom was my hero. One day I decided to throw an enormous tantrum about eating my vegetables. As a
hero, my mom made me eat every single carrot, pea, cucumber, and broccoli on my plate. As a child, I thought that she was a cruel parent forcing her
kids to eat something utterly repulsive. In reality that single instance had taught me several life lessons such as how to have self–control, how to eat
healthily, and most importantly how to sneak vegetables into my napkin under the table. Because of my mother's lesson, I try to discipline myself to do
things that I would rather procrastinate about such as the undesirable task of eating vegetables; doing my homework and chores before enjoying going
out with friends.

My Hero Who Is A Hero
Everyone in the world needs a hero, someone who they can look up to. Heroes can inspire people, make them feel secure or comfort them. My hero is
Shawn Carter, also known as Jay–Z; he inspires me in multiple ways which is why I chose him as my hero. His life story, confidence, passionate
music, and talent all inspire me.
When we think of the ghetto, we think of a place that does not exist, made up because we never experience it. We are aware that it is very
dangerous, but we never see it with our own two eyes. In Shawn's eyes, this was everyday life for him, to see a lot of violence and illegal actions.

He did not have any connections, and he started off alone with his own business. Later as he became more famous, he was signed by other big

Modernly, Shawn is donating an abundant amount of money to charity; he also has his own charity called the Shawn Carter Scholarship fund, which
donates to the Marcy projects in New York. Shawn is myhero because he overcame adversity, became successful, and uses his wealth to donate to
good causes. This inspires me to believe in the quote, "anything is possible" as I think of Shawn's life timeline.
Jay–Z has influenced the lives of many people including myself. Music is a very big part of my daily life, as I cannot go through one day without
listening to any song. I was born and raised on music. Music is a process that cleanses my soul, and whenever I listen, I think about the deeper
meaning of life. It may be awkward to think that Rap music can accomplish that, but for me it can. I listen to Jay–Z the most, as it is good music, but
also because he has meaningful lyrics behind his songs. For example in the song Young Forever he says, "Fear not when, fear not why, fear not
much while we're alive, life is for living not living up tight, see ya somewhere in the sky, fear not die, be alive for a million years, bye bye." I
translate that line into, live life by the moment, enjoy every second, and do not worry about the future. Lyrics like

The Heros : My Definition Of A Hero
When someone says the word "hero," what is the first thing that pops in your mind? You may start to think of Superman and Spiderman or maybe
Batman. You think of fiction and stories and movies. The world right now is full of so many terrible things. Things such as natural disasters, terrorist
activity and just plain out people that make terrible decisions. When there is so many terrible things on the news and in this world. We as humans
need to focus on the goods things that happen. The heros in our life don't have to be superheros, they could be ordinary people that try to do the best
they can. My definition of a hero is someone who has courage, responsibility and selflessness.
Courage is something I think all heros need to have. According to webster's dictionary bravery is "possessing or a display of courage," so technically
bravery and courage is the same thing. I find that no matter who you are you can show courage. Take 14–year–old James Persyn lll for example. "It
was a cold January night in 2013 in the town of Shepherd, Michigan. Persyn was watching TV while his two younger siblings were playing in the
living room. Their father, Angus Persyn Jr., had just left the house to pick up his fiance' who was working nearby.Right after his father left, James
heard a loud banging at the door by a panicked woman. As the young boy later described, "'Her voice was, like, she was going to die if I didn't open
that door."'The woman was a student at Central Michigan University who

example, honor, choosing to play fair every time. Also, courage and faith which is evidently seen in Beowulf. Some of these characteristics may stand

plays piano, and never misses a sports game, whether it is the Eagles, Phillies, or Duke basketball. His relationship with Coach K at Duke is a
perfect example of being all in. Pop Pop would write Coach K about some of his patients who were good prospects for Duke, as well as local high
school players that would impress him. Over the years, they became pen pals, and Coach K hosted Pop Pop and some of my cousins for games
down in North Carolina. And don't get me started on wine. Pop Pop loves to drink and learn about wine. In fact, when I was a baby and living in
California, my parents took me up to Napa to meet him for a wine tasting weekend. While most 85 year olds just want to sit around and relax, my
grandfather wants to soak up everything life has to offer. I couldn't write about my Pop Pop without highlighting his love of family. I've written about

My Hero Definition
When most kids think of a hero they think of a crime fighting, evil slaying, fictional character that wears a cape and most likely has supernatural
powers of some kind. But as we evolve the definition of a hero becomes more broad and spans father outside the realm of just a movie character. It
becomes the people who surround us in our everyday lives and impact the community for the better. Up to the present time my hero has been consistent.
Yes there were others here and there but this hero never deviated from my idea of what a hero really is to me. When I observed the act of emotional
elevation, one story from my childhood immediately came to mind. My aunt and I were driving back home from a brutally hot day at the farmers
market in Goodlettsville.

My Hero Is A Hero
What truly is a hero and how do you know if they're around you? A hero is not perfect. Let me tell you that, they are not always good, they don't
always make the best choices but that does not mean you aren't a hero. There is a huge difference between a hero and MY hero. Someone could be a
villain in your eyes, but in the eyes of another, they could be such a special person. Its all about where you stand and what you view a hero. To me, a
hero is to be helpful and selfless. Maybe not always, people make mistakes and that's okay but as long as you encourage and embrace the good deeds,
that's what matters. I think heroism shouldn't be defined as a specific and small group of people. They should have a less defined definition so that
everyone can get the chance to be a hero. Even the little deeds count.
To be a hero, you must be helpful, like the organization suicide hotline, and the children of Birmingham. Another trait that must be acquired is to
always be selfless, Rosa Parks shows this quality and as the real life Seattle superhero, Phoenix Jones.
The children of Birmingham are helpful because they got involved and made a difference by marching for black civil rights. For example, Martin
Luther King said in the video about the children of Birmingham, "don't hold them back if they want to go to jail, for they are doing a job for
America and for all." The parents of the children thought it was a bad idea for them to get involved in the violence and segregation. Turns out, it was
a favor to them what the children did. The effect of the children walking for miles on the streets of Birmingham, Alabama was inspirational. All
because they wanted respect and equality. Two basic human right we have in our world now. Which if you think about it, was because of their help.
Their stance towards the right direction led us to where we are now.
Also, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline organization is helpful because they are a support system for people who are thinking of/or will be
committing suicide. For example, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline website says, "Suicide is not inevitable for anyone. By starting the
conversation, providing support, and directing help to those who need it, we can prevent

My Hero A Hero
What does make a hero a hero? Is it there looks? Alternatively, maybe is it their personality? However, the question is what are those essential
qualities that make one a hero? Different people require different heroes to look up to or try to emulate. However, whoever it may be, they all
possess certain qualities. My hero is my mother, for the reason that she is selfless, compassion, and courage. That kind of selflessness can often be
premeditated, since concentrating on others' needs often winds up helping one accomplish one's own goals. However, a heroic leader does so
without any anticipation of a return. The display and concern show the care one has for others. This can often apparent itself in strong but gentle
actions planned to increase the lives of others. Courage and bravery come to mind first when we think of heroism. However, it is difficult to achieve
anything truly heroic unless one is up against overwhelming chances. As Nelson Mandela put it, "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph
over it." These minor acts of heroism rarely attract any notice. A true hero is always sympathetic, benevolent and shows a great deal of compassion
and sympathy to those poorly or in agony. He or she keeps away judgements; that are oriented to the self and embraces an attitude that serves others.
Selflessness is an extremely important heroic trait, maybe the uppermost important. It is the driving force behind heroism. Heroes become heroes when

My hero What are some heroic characteristics that this person shows? Austin shows a lot of kindness and loves helping people know matter what it
takes, he is always going to help someone with anything. That is why my hero is Austin Mcgee. Every Time you need his help he is going to be there
for you no matter what. Austin always puts others first before himself no matter where he is or what he is doing. Putting yourself first in life is a very
good quality to have. Not everyone will drop what they are doing to help others out.
The interview taught me some important things that I should value. I really look up to him. He has been like a brother to me. He has always been
their for me no matter what. Before we started to do the interview I was really nervous. I had to think of questions and Austin helped me out on it
too. He has always helped me on stuff that i have struggled with. During the interview, I learned how important it is to stay in school and go to college
to accomplish my goals in life. After the interview, I got to see how much he valued education andfamily. Those values are super important to have to
be successful in life. Austin has impacted my life in a lot of different ways. One of those ways is by showing me how meaningful it is to show
kindness and respect to everyone I meet. He has showed me the right path to go down in my life. He has also saved my life in the swimming pool. This
kid across the street pulled the nuddle out from under me and I just sunk to the bottom. He was mowing and as I went under he looked in the pool
and saw me go under so he runs as fast as he can, jumps in the pool and he had his wallet in his pocket and his phone but that didn't stop him. He
jumped in the pool and pulled me out he had to start doing CPR and I started to cough up water and I hudge him and since that day i have been
looking up to him. He has been nothing but grateful to my life and he has always took me wherever he goes. That is how he has impacted my life.

My Hero Is A Hero
"The real hero is measured not by the size of his strength, but by the size of his heart". When I was a kid a lot of people asked me who my hero
was and I often responded with a name of some celebrity who performed a cool stunt or had strength. As time passed by and I started understanding
things, I understood hero is not someone who has strength, power, skills. In fact hero is someone who has a bigger heart, someone who has more
love to give than strength, or someone who is skilled on thinking for the good of others. A hero can be recognized by the work he has done, by the
sacrifices he has made, and how he changed the life of a different person and that is exactly what my dad did, He changed my life. He is My Hero
Imagine how hard it must be to leave a place that has given you everything, just so your kids would have a better life, education, job, etc. It was a
hard decision that my dad made when he chose to leave Nepal and come to USA. Moving to a place where literally everything is different, language,
culture etc., all because your kid would have a better education, lifestyle, future etc. My dad was pretty devastated when he found out that he had to
leave everything that he has worked his whole life for. I never thought what must be going through his mind at the time. When I told him I want to
leave Nepal and come to USA the only thing that he asked me was "Will you be happy?' And I responded yes. That was the moment my life changed
and that all happened because of my dad.
When I was a kid my dad used the phrase "Simple living high thinking" a lot. When we were on our way to USA, we had to spend 3–4 nights in
capital Nepal. The place was pretty smelly but the excitement of coming to USA took over. I saw how sad my dad was at that moment and there
was nothing I could do, I mean I was pretty immature at that time. We left Kathmandu and we had a long 2 days ahead of us. We landed in Dubai
and we had to spend 8 hours in the airport before we could catch our next flight. My dad stood almost 3 hours in a line to get a food in a country
where he understood nothing, where the food was different, money was different but somehow, he managed to get food for our family. I cannot think

My Hero Is My Youth Leader
Many of you have people in your life that influence you in different ways, to help you make decisions and to help you in your journey through life.
Others of you have people you see for merely a minute or two but they do something that impacts you for the rest of your life. Many people call
people like that heroes, even though the people who are influencing you and helping you will never feel as though they have done anything that is
worth the title "hero". For me personally the person that I would consider my hero would be my youth leader at church, Stephanie. She has inspired
me to do many things to help other people as she has helped me. Some of the different ways that she has showed heroism is in the way she goes on
mission's trips all around the world to help other people. People who are less fortunate and are in need of help. She has helped me in other ways as
well, by showing me how to be a good role model to the other girls in my youth group, how to show leadership with the people around me and to get
out of my comfort zone and engage myself in activities that I normally would avoid.
She has been on eight different mission's trips over the years and some of those trips she has gone on multiple times. Some of those trips were with
our church and some were with her previous place of employment. She used to be an assistant manager at Family Christian Book Store that was
located in the West Acres Mall in Fargo, ND. Before they closed in February of 2017 they were a

I am choosing my father for this because he has taught me a lot over the years. He has taught me how to hunt, fish, and the joy of the outdoors.
Beowulf is a hero to so I have to say something about him to. Beowulf is a hero that kills evil things that hurt people. I choose my father because
he has been by my side even when things have gone wrong or they have a good. My father showed me how to do the things I know like hunting,
fishing, and shooting skeets. He helps me when I need him and even when I don't need any help on something but he is still there to make sure that I
do it right. He showed me how to skin deer when I was younger and still tells me if I did something wrong. He always helps me and my siblings when

My Hero Essay
What is the definition of a hero? Is hero supposed to be a person who fights crime and saves people from harm's way? Or a person who wears a
costume or a cape and use their superpowers for justice? Whenever we think of heroes, characters such as Batman and Superman come to our mind,
but what we don't usually consider are the real life heroes we see around us every day who can be anyone from our family, friends to police officers,
firefighters and soldiers fighting for our country. I personally believe a hero is someone who has made a positive impact in my life. This person might
not feel that the deeds he or she performed have any significance but to me these deeds mean a lot. This person can be someone who was there for
me when I needed them the most, supported me during hardships, helped me get on my feet when I was feeling down and gave hope when everything
seemed lost. To me my everyday hero is my mother.
The reason why I chose my mother as my everyday hero is due to the fact that she is the one responsible for making me the person I am today. When
I was young I use to get sick often, I had asthma since a very young age and often during the night I would get asthma attacks. My parents would
always get worried if my asthma got really bad, it would often get so bad that they would have to take me to the hospital. My mom would always
stay by my side and no matter how bad the situation seemed, I always felt safe being around her. My mom would stay up all night looking after

My Hero Is A Hero
The idea of a hero is very prominent in today's society. At the start of a person's life, a hero is a grown man wearing tights who flies around saving
helpless citizens from evil scientists. As we age, however, the definition of what a true hero is will change. A police officer charging headfirst into a
hostage situation is undoubtable a hero, but a father who works eighty hours a week, so his children can have a brighter future, and still makes time to
be there for all of their important moments is just as heroic. After my superhero phase, I had a fairly common hero for young boys, the men and
women of the United States military. With over one million men and women serving in the United States armed forces, this may be the largest group of
heroes in the world. These men and women devote their lives to maintaining the freedoms that we enjoy each and every day. While many serve,
and then return to their families, far too many never make the journey home. Standing for bravery and strength, the men and women of the United
States armed forces were, and still are, my heroes. With the dream of carrying on the great tradition of service to my country, I planned to join the
army after college. I longed to be the person that people looked up to and appreciated for keeping them safe. The plan was to become a
commissioned officer leading a team of infantrymen with bravery and determination. Reality, however, reared its ugly head in the form of a pair of
thick glasses. My dream was

make you better when you're sad. My dad is my hero because he is my role model is life.
One of the many reasons why my dad is my hero is because he would do anything for me and the family. No matter what. He is there when you go to

My Hero As A Hero In The Marine Corps
"Daddy! Daddy! Wake up! It's time to go!" Sam Milroy's daughters, Aurora and Imogen, yelled. Sam wakes up to these words because he served
his country, so we have the freedom to have the joy of hearing our children everyday. He sees the smiles on his little girls' faces and knows his time
spent in the military was well spent. He knows that he gets to see his daughters faces every morning because he heroically served our country, so we
could be free. According to an article from Verywell, Sam is a little hhero, but he proves a hero is a hero no matter how big. He is a hero in his
everyday life making him a little h hero (Cherry). Sam has shown heroism comes in all aspects of life; therefore, Sam is my hero. At the age of
nineteen, Sam decided he wanted to go out and see the world, so he made his decision to join the military. Sam's decision to join was based on the
facts that he wanted to get out and see the world, but he decided on the Marine Corps because my grandpa, his dad, served in the Marine Corps.
One of Sam's goals was to prove to Grandpa and himself that he could make it through the Marine Corps. Not only did he accomplish this goal, but
he became an E5 Sergeant. With being an E5 Sergeant, Sam was in charge of a group of about twenty guys. An E5 Sergeant has a lot do duties,
including making sure fellow marines have proper mental and physical training. E5 Sergeants also have to have constant control over their marines.

Comparing Beowulf And My Hero
A hero is someone who is admired or idolized for their courage, achievements and noble qualities (dictionary.com). Heroes help the world or someone
with their problems or needs. A hero can be many different people in one's life. Beowulf and my dad are heroic figures as they display courage and
bravery, selflessness, humility, patients, and caring.
My dad shows courage and bravery by taking up for his family no matter how much danger he puts himself in. Beowulf shows his courage and bravery
close to the same way my dad does, he fights Grendel when he knows no one else has been able to survive fighting him. Beowulf also shows
courage and bravery by fighting and destroying evil monsters (eNotes.com). "The thing about being brave, it doesn't come with the absence of fear
and hurt. Bravery is the ability to look fear and hurt in the face and say move aside, you are in my way" (Turnino). ... Show more content on

Beowulf shows selflessness by putting himself in danger to fight for others. My dad puts everyone else before he puts himself. "Happiness doesn't
come through selfishness, but through selflessness. Everything you do comes back around" (pintrest.com). They are alike with humility as well.
Beowulf's fight with Grendel expressed humility by him telling Grendel that no weapons are allowed to be used (weebly.com). My dad shows
humility by working from seven to seven every day except Sundays to pay bills, buy groceries, and to buy everyone in the family what they

My Heroism : A Hero : Being A Hero
It does not require much to be a hero; but in fact any one can be a hero. Heroism is not just about having a cool costume with a matching cape, it is
about the good qualities that a person possesses. One of my hero's is my mom, because of her selfless and caring spirit. While I was in high school
one of my close friends Amber and her family lost their home after the economy crashed. All the more reason my mom and I were absolutely mortified
that at dinner at the news of Amber withdrawing from school to move to Florida with her relatives.
Amber and I had been friends since middle school. She told my mom, Denise and I that she was moving Saturday night. I vividly remember her
twirling her fork in a bowl of spaghetti as she looked up with a miserable look on her face. She blurted out, "I'm homeless!" My mom looks up at
me, both of us with our eyebrows scrunched together and confused. I responded in a soft whisper, "...what do you mean?" Amber said with her
voice trembling, trying to hold back tears with her head down hiding the tears streaming down her face, "We lost our house!" She paused "So we
have to move in with my grandma." My heart dropped, my best friend since sixth grade was moving to Florida. I looked across the table wondering
where my mom was when I noticed she had made her way around the table to console Amber.
Vibrating we could hear a cellphone thumping across the kitchen counter, my mom excused herself to answer her phone. She picked up the phone and

warm–hearted, attentive, and understanding. She always listens to my problems and help me solve them even when she doesn't really have the time

Dads are underrated members of society who do not get enough recognition for what they do. My dad is my personal hero because he, along with
others, has boosted me up when I needed it most. For instance, when I am sick, he is always the one who takes care of me to make sure I am
always on the right track to feeling better. He always comes in to make sure I am doing okay, sometimes even to the point where it annoys me. My
dad also helps me with my homework when I need it, and makes corrections where I have made a mistake. Moreover, he has given me
encouragement by telling me I could do anything I put my mind up to and more, and I am appreciative because it has given me confidence in areas
where I had insecurities. In addition, my dad not only

What is a hero? Most people would name a celebrity, a scholar, or a super hero. People tend to relate heroism to well known people who have
accomplished a something that benefits others. But a hero doesn't necessarily have to emulate this standard. Anybody can be a hero. For example, a
mother can be the hero to a child, a teacher to a student, or even a friend to another friend. My hero is my brother, James Allan Garcia, because he
helps me with my problems, protects me, and inspires me to be a better person and follow my dreams. My brother has been through so much that no

Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Wonder woman are all heroes, or what I thought was a hero. As a little kid, I thought a hero was someone with an
incredible superpower that always caught and destroyed the villain. I thought a hero was someone that stopped crime to become the Man or Woman of
the world. That turned out to be completely false. These "superheroes" were just fictional characters, made up to keep people entertained but I know
that now and have a new definition of a hero. Heroes are real people; you see as a good influence or role model in your life. Whether you know your
"hero" personally or not, anyone can be seen as a hero. A parent, sport player, teacher, uncle, actor, as long as you feel a connection and they show
you something in life, they are a hero to you. A hero varies towards different people, for me, it is a person that I look up to for advice. I have had
multiple heroes in my life because each individual teaches me a quality that I can only get from that certain person. I respect some of the heroes I
have more than I do others, just because of the connection I feel with them. A hero that I have in my life is my uncle. He has been my closest
uncle I have ever had since I was a little kid. I always looked up to him as a role model because he acts like he can do almost anything. When he was
younger, he had a really bad stutter. He was not easily to understood, but he overthrew that. He practiced, trying his very best to get better, and after a

Madison Is My Hero
What makes a hero? I always thought a hero had to have superpowers and a cape, as do many people still. However, I now believe that a hero is
somebody who changes one's life or situation for the better. The person is always looking on the bright side and giving out free smiles. My hero is
my cousin, Madison May. There are many reasons I could write about saying why Madison is my hero, but since I do not want to write a novel, I will
narrow it down to these three. First, Madison makes me who I am. Without her, I would not be as nice, smart, hard working, and overall devoted to
being the best person I am able to be. Maddy taught me a million things all at once when I realized she looked up to me. She taught me to be nicer
than the nicest people, so even when I am having a bad day I will still be somewhat nice, and to strive for perfection at everything I do whether I
think someone is watching or nobody is paying attention at all, because somebody will always be watching in the background where I cannot see. If
she did not look up to me, which is how she taught me these things and more, I would not care enough about how I acted around her or anybody else.
Maddy helps me make myself better because she looks up to me, and for that, she is my hero. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

lip–gloss, and loving to watch the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks together. After looking at everything we both enjoy, it is hard to say she is just my
best friend. Madison is my hero, for showing me that I am not the only one in the world who likes what I find

My Hero My hero is one that is very close to me. My hero is the person that gave birth to me. My hero is my mother. I chose my mom as my hero
because to me that is what she is and more. My mom is literally the backbone in the family. She takes care of everything in the family and around the
house. Before I began to drive my mom would take me everywhere. My mother like many others has been to the moon and back just to help me. She
is such a kind person, she gives me advice about anything, she is always helping me convince my dad about anything, and most importantly she helps

When she got here from Cuba she immediately looked for a job so that my dad wouldn't have to work 24 hours driving a truck all over the Florida

beautician and she achieved in doing so. It took too many hours away from me so she left her job to take care of elderly people during the day and
clean peoples homes during the weekends to make a little extra money. She didn't want my dad to have me to himself all night long she wanted
that quality time with me. I can even explain how much I appreciate all the things she did for me. I understand now how hard it was for them to
spend time with me and get money. I remember that my first christmas in America I literally got nothing because my parents couldn't afford it,
basically they couldn't afford anything. There was even a time where they both had to work full day shifts just to be able to pay the rent. My mom
worked in everything she could find and everything she did, she did more than good. My mom had never worked a day in her life until she got to

A hero to some is someone with superpowers, like Batman, who fights crime or Superman who is able to soar over buildings and save the day. My
definition of a hero is somewhat different my hero can't fly or fight crime, but manages to impact my everyday life. My hero is below average height,
but has the strength that is admirable to many. The definition of hero is "a person who is admired for his or her great ways, special achievements, and fine
qualities". The person to fit this description is my grandmother Ana Santos.

My Hero : One Of My Two Hero
When I was, younger I would say, I took many things for granted, especially life. A few times I realized you can't take things for granted was when
my dad went off to war and my mom got cancer. These were two significant times in my life where I was taught to never take life for granted. My
two heroes are my mom and dad and they are very many reasons why but I'm going to share a few reasons. My dad is one of my heroes for many
reasons. He is in the army and fights for our country. I think that every person in the army is a hero because of how brave they are. My dad would
always tell me stories of him killing the bad guys and saving us from the terrorist. One time he shot the enemy and his daughter ran up to my dad
and started crying, screaming, and hitting him because he killed her dad, but if he didn't kill him my dad would've been killed. This story really
moved me because it's sad and wonderful at the same time. He shows his heroism because he killed the bad guy to save himself and others, but it's
sad because someone got killed and his daughter was heartbroken. He also had to lead his troops into combat which I think is heroic because it
takes a brave person to put themselves first. Also, he didn't have to be in the army, he chooses to because he wanted to help people even if it meant
he was going to be killed. All in all, my dad is one of my heroes who taught me to never take life for granted. My main hero, is my mom. She has
taught me so many things, but along

My Hero Definition

  • 1. My Hero Definition The definition of hero to each person can be thought of differently. To most, a hero is someone indestructible, inhuman and impossibly physically strong. I cannot be classified as such, but I consider myself to be my own hero, as I wish everyone would believe. Throughout life, one picks up many characteristics and develops similar traits to those around us and those we admire. Hopefully, these traits are positive and shape one into what or who they wish to become. Learning from others and oneself, the goal of life, ultimately, is to become one's own hero. As a child, the only people that most children look up to are their parents. Thus, a bounteous amount of the traits we imitate are from our parents. Whether these traits are positive or ... • 2. Hero My Mom The Super Hero I Call Mom My mother occupies a special place in my heart that can never be replaced. She became pregnant with me at the age of nineteen. Being a young, single mother, she had to overcome difficult obstacles to get us to where we are today. Life was tough and there were many times where she just wanted to give up, but she was determined to turn her life around for the better. She ingrained a lifetime worth of advice into my head but it was her actions that taught me that the struggles I will face now will make me stronger in the end. As a senior in high school, my mother was the colonel of the drill team and was preparing for college when life threw a major curve ball her way. Once she realized she was pregnant with me, she had to change her lifestyle entirely. With no support, financially or emotionally from my father, my mother had to do it "all on her own." This greatly affected my mother because even to this day she is still playing a role as both a mother and father figure, and has never complained or failed to follow through with any of her responsibilities. Raising me was especially hard for my mother because she lacked financial stability. There were times when she didn't even have enough money for a bottle of formula. Her parents allowed her to stay at home with them but she was required to pay rent in exchange for my grandmother babysitting me while she worked as receptionist at a local chemical plant. Working at the chemical plant and seeing her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Definition Essay On My Hero What is a hero? Well.. to me, a hero is someone that people look up to. Heroes set example for their followers. They are usually courageous, brave, and willing to do anything to protect who and what they love, even if it costs them their lives. Take a look around; hero's are everywhere. People have their own versions of their heroes and people who they look up to. They do not have to be dressed fancy or look any different than anyone else.My grandmother is my hero. I look up to her because she has all the qualities of a hero. When my mother past away she is the one that took me and my sister under her wing. She has opened up her home to us and gave us a place the stay. When I did not have a car, she took both me and my sister to school ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. My Hero Is A Hero I normally never have trouble writing essays, but when my teacher told us we would have to write about our Michigan hero, my mind went blank. Once I thought about it, I had many names racing through my head but I kept coming back to one. However I brushed it off and went through the names one more time. My mom has stuck by me through everything, when my dad first left my world became cold, I felt unwanted. Only four at the time I didn't see how a parent could just do this to a child or how in the long run it could be a good thing someone with that much meaning could just vanish and eventually you wouldn't care. Every time I time I cried over people's stupidity she never judged me but instead took me into her arms and there I stayed protected from the world. We moved around a lot when I was little and Coleman,Mi is the place where I have stayed the longest. There has come times when my mom is going through some rough things but she doesn't abandon me, she is still there taking care of me. She could be crying herself to sleep, not caring about the world and still speak these words to me, ''I want us to both be able to be happy, it's not about me being happy anymore.'' In my ... • 6. My Definition Of A Hero A Hero A hero do you know what to real hero is not a person who got bit by a spider and got powers a human who made a sick person better or anything else . A hero is what you need to save you or a normal person doing a great thing. I will be telling you my definition of hero a hero is selfless , brave , and loyal. A selfless hero will sacrifice their own life for millions of others no matter what. Most heroes are selfless risking their life for someone else's this means they might die but it is worth it to save lives. This a a huge part of being a hero to me if you would die to save millions you're a hero to some or many. "A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself."–By Joseph CampBell. This is true when the titanic crashed the engines knew that they had a job to do to keep the bout up for as long as they could, they kepted the power on engine running they sacrificed them self to save others."Then given to the world the best you have. And the best will come back to you."–By Madeline Bridges. The story of Esther, it is a great and wonderful example of selflessness.A queen married a angry king , the queen's cousin Mordecai tells her that her husband wants to kill at the jews. The queen knows she must save the jew and herself from the king so she then asks King Xerxes to stop Hamon but she knows that if she goes up to the king without permission she can be killed so she tells her cousin "then I will go to the king, though it is ... • 8. My Hero Essay Have you ever thought or even considered who your hero was? I never really took this into huge consideration or even thought hard about it. I realized my hero is closer and more real than I expected. My heroes are my adopted parents. They took my sister and me into their already big family, so we could have a better life. This shows me that there are great and unselfish people out there. Hero's come in all different forms and change your life for the better. My family isn't perfect by any means, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I was taken away at a small age from my real parents along with my older sister, and younger brother. My birth parents were into bad habits and weren't ready to take on a big family. My sister and I got to stay together and live with my aunt and uncle that are now my parents. My younger brother couldn't live with us because there wasn't enough room for him and my adopted parents already had two kids of their own. He is staying with my other aunt and uncle and is living a great and happy life with them. We are all still close and get to see each other whenever we want so it works out. We were all adopted at young ages so it was easier to adjust too. I sometimes wish that things were another way but I wouldn't have the life I have now without my parents. Even though I don't realize it most the time; my parents are great and would do anything for me. I honestly don't know what I would do without them. They gave me such a good life, and I've made so many great memories with them. I wouldn't trade them for anyone. That is why they are my hero's, they never fail to amaze me and would go above and beyond for me. I know they want to provide everything for me and to give me everything that I want. I always wanted to fit in with everyone and get the new trends, but my parents taught me that if I really want something I have to work for it. They are getting me ready for life by making me pay for most of my things, and making me a responsible young lady. I have learned that, by not working for what you want won't teach you anything valuable for when I live on my own. I know it may be tough sometimes but I will have more knowledge of taking care of things by myself instead of always having ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. My Hero Research Paper Everyone of God's creatures has a different judgement about what a hero is. They come in many forms, dimensions, have different features, morals, and principles. For me, a hero is someone who will put a hundred percent determination into shielding you from any type of pain. They will never stop providing you with the refuge of safety; and will share with you the information required for survival. Ahero doesn't have to have faultless person, high significance in the world, or have a classic sandwich named after them in the local pub. A hero is supposed to have huge effects on one's life. My mom is my hero in numerous ways, not just because she is my mom and I love her, but because of how she overpowered struggles in her adolescence. My mom has a solid sense of guidance, because of the fact that she basically raised her three brothers and sisters. When asked to do anything, she never hesitated to get the duty accomplished. My mom as shown me right from wrong and has provided me with everything I need to succeed. She is the strongest person that I know and exhibits all the qualities of a leader and a hero. I do this because she has never done anything incorrect in my judgments. She has always made the choices that put others first and the ones that guarantee the security and best interest of her household. That to me shows that she is a very caring and loving individual. • 10. My Hero : My Mother As A Hero Everybody has heard of a hero and needs a hero in their life. From Clark Kent really being Superman to Paul in the new movie "Downsizing", there are everyman heroes to superheroes. In my eyes, I see my mother as a hero. She's not just a hero to me. She's a hero to plenty of people in her life. She's my personal hero because of her journey. That would categorize her as an everyman hero because she's relatable to everyman and woman. To illustrate her heroic journey, I would have to start at the beginning. The beginning is before she had her stroke. Ten years ago, my brother was about to graduate high school and my mother was living a healthy, fulfilling life or so she thought. My mother was known for outdrinking the men and partying hard. She didn't allow being a mother prevent her from having a good time. She favored having so much of a good time that she neglected my brother and I. This was her ordinary world. Three months after my brother graduated, my mother had a terrible stroke. It was so terrible it left her right side entirely paralyzed. She found herself disabled, not able to speak, and having to learn how to do the basic motor skills all over again. It's as if someone pressed a reset button on her life. My mother was devastated as was I. As you may have guessed it, this was her call to adventure. And of course, like most people before her, she refused to adapt to a new way of living. No longer able to party, she had to rely on someone to care for her. For the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My grandpa is my hero because he has community, grit, and is caring. He worked at Koch Industries for about 40 years before he retired. My grandpa is my hero because of how well he shows community. When he visits he is always wanting to help around the house. He repairs and builds things for other people without a profit. Teaching others about theworld and business is his specialty. • 12. My Father : A Hero Is A Hero Heroes; something we all aspire to be, but easily recognize in others. Wait, how do we define what makes a hero, a hero? A hero is one who is kind, courageous, smart, determined and selfless. They often do what is better for the greater good and not themselves. This is seen in both Greek and Modern heroes, whether it is cutting off Medusa's head or defeating the Riddler, they show these qualities in one way or another. We also see these qualities in parents, true everyday heroes. While they may not have super strength or the ability to fly, parents are the ultimate heroes in our lives, for they love for us without judgement and will always be there when we need them most. My father, William Romero, is ahero since it takes a true hero to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Someone who does not care about their family would never put themselves through this, but my dad does, and that is what makes him my hero. In addition to the heroic quality of being caring, he is also remarkably determined. Determined, something I have always known my father to be. Often times, when my dad sets his sights on a goal, there is nothing stopping him from reaching it. One of my best memories of this was that for an entirety of two years he called into every radio contest that was raffling off Disneyland tickets, just so I may see Disneyland once in my life. With how dedicated my father was, he eventually won tickets and we went to Disneyland. While this may seem trifling, it was a huge deal in our family, as we were often too poor to even attempt to buy tickets, but through my dad being the insistent person he is, he called in every day until he won tickets. Someone with bona fide determination would keep doing this every day for two years, even if the probability of not winning was high. Christmas time is another example of my father and his determined mindset. To be more specific, he is always insistent on our family having the best Christmas ever. This ranges from stringing lights on the house with me in bone chilling, 30 degree weather, picking out a beautiful, fragrant tree and getting gifts for our Romero 3 family. • 13. My Hero Is A Hero If you ask any kid who their hero is they will most likely say their parents. And in my case, it's still my dad. He has overcome a lot of adversities in his life that makes him who he is today, which is my hero. A hero doesn't have to slay dragons sometimes all they have to do is follow their dreams. They all must go through some difficult times to help them understand that they want something better for themselves and as motivation to get there. My dad grew up in a small town called Verona, North Dakota where he and hisfamily farmed. I remember him always telling me when I was a kid, "when I was your age I would have to feed the pigs and they were so mean that I would throw the food in and run." I think he knew from a young age that this wasn't something he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He never liked the town either and how fast gossip spread. But his dad was pretty admit on giving all the kids a piece of land so they could keep the farm in the family. My dad was torn on whether he should follow his dreams of getting out of the small town or stay for his family. He ultimately decided to go to college and follow his dreams, by going to NDSU for business. His family wasn't too thrilled with his choice to leave, but he knew it was right for him. While going to college he worked at a part–time job and during the summers he had two jobs. Then during the fall he would help his family during harvest. Though the classes were tough and he had a lot on his plate he knew it was for a better future and whenever the going got tough he would remind himself that he could be cleaning out a horse stables or working with tractors and it always got him back on track. This really motivates me to go after my dreams and know that everything will work out. He supports my sister and me to follow our dreams and push our limits. Even though it took him five years to graduate, since he missed school for harvest each year, he graduated from NDSU. He got a job working for Great Plains Software where he started a job that he really enjoy. But since he was just out of college and was new at this place he worked constantly. • 14. My Hero As A Hero As a child, a hero to me was someone with superpowers; such as Superman, the Flash, and more. Later I learned that heroes do not always need to be someone who has extraordinary features. Heros don't need to have to have high importance in society or have a classic sandwich named after them in the local pub. Ahero just needs to be someone who cares about your happiness and loves you for being yourself. Someone who is always ready to face challenges and such. Someone who is willing to put a hundred percent effort into protecting you from pain. They will stop at nothing to provide you with the security of safety; and will share with you the knowledge required for survival. When I was about seven I had realized that my mom was my hero. One day I decided to throw an enormous tantrum about eating my vegetables. As a hero, my mom made me eat every single carrot, pea, cucumber, and broccoli on my plate. As a child, I thought that she was a cruel parent forcing her kids to eat something utterly repulsive. In reality that single instance had taught me several life lessons such as how to have self–control, how to eat healthily, and most importantly how to sneak vegetables into my napkin under the table. Because of my mother's lesson, I try to discipline myself to do things that I would rather procrastinate about such as the undesirable task of eating vegetables; doing my homework and chores before enjoying going out with friends. • 15. My Hero Who Is A Hero Everyone in the world needs a hero, someone who they can look up to. Heroes can inspire people, make them feel secure or comfort them. My hero is Shawn Carter, also known as Jay–Z; he inspires me in multiple ways which is why I chose him as my hero. His life story, confidence, passionate music, and talent all inspire me. When we think of the ghetto, we think of a place that does not exist, made up because we never experience it. We are aware that it is very dangerous, but we never see it with our own two eyes. In Shawn's eyes, this was everyday life for him, to see a lot of violence and illegal actions. Shawn was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 4th, 1969 in the Marcy House projects. The Marcy House projects were government funded... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He did not have any connections, and he started off alone with his own business. Later as he became more famous, he was signed by other big companies and his soon to be career began. Modernly, Shawn is donating an abundant amount of money to charity; he also has his own charity called the Shawn Carter Scholarship fund, which donates to the Marcy projects in New York. Shawn is myhero because he overcame adversity, became successful, and uses his wealth to donate to good causes. This inspires me to believe in the quote, "anything is possible" as I think of Shawn's life timeline. Jay–Z has influenced the lives of many people including myself. Music is a very big part of my daily life, as I cannot go through one day without listening to any song. I was born and raised on music. Music is a process that cleanses my soul, and whenever I listen, I think about the deeper meaning of life. It may be awkward to think that Rap music can accomplish that, but for me it can. I listen to Jay–Z the most, as it is good music, but also because he has meaningful lyrics behind his songs. For example in the song Young Forever he says, "Fear not when, fear not why, fear not much while we're alive, life is for living not living up tight, see ya somewhere in the sky, fear not die, be alive for a million years, bye bye." I translate that line into, live life by the moment, enjoy every second, and do not worry about the future. Lyrics like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. The Heros : My Definition Of A Hero When someone says the word "hero," what is the first thing that pops in your mind? You may start to think of Superman and Spiderman or maybe Batman. You think of fiction and stories and movies. The world right now is full of so many terrible things. Things such as natural disasters, terrorist activity and just plain out people that make terrible decisions. When there is so many terrible things on the news and in this world. We as humans need to focus on the goods things that happen. The heros in our life don't have to be superheros, they could be ordinary people that try to do the best they can. My definition of a hero is someone who has courage, responsibility and selflessness. Courage is something I think all heros need to have. According to webster's dictionary bravery is "possessing or a display of courage," so technically bravery and courage is the same thing. I find that no matter who you are you can show courage. Take 14–year–old James Persyn lll for example. "It was a cold January night in 2013 in the town of Shepherd, Michigan. Persyn was watching TV while his two younger siblings were playing in the living room. My Pop–Pop Fuzzy is my hero, because he is a hard worker who perseveres through adversity, he has a passion for all life has to offer, and he loves hisfamily. My pop–pop has a heart like no other and refuses to let life get in the way of him doing the things he loves most. But as we evolve the definition of a hero becomes more broad and spans father outside the realm of just a movie character. It becomes the people who surround us in our everyday lives and impact the community for the better. Up to the present time my hero has been consistent. Yes there were others here and there but this hero never deviated from my idea of what a hero really is to me. • 20. My Hero Is A Hero What truly is a hero and how do you know if they're around you? A hero is not perfect. Let me tell you that, they are not always good, they don't always make the best choices but that does not mean you aren't a hero. There is a huge difference between a hero and MY hero. Someone could be a villain in your eyes, but in the eyes of another, they could be such a special person. Its all about where you stand and what you view a hero. To me, a hero is to be helpful and selfless. Maybe not always, people make mistakes and that's okay but as long as you encourage and embrace the good deeds, that's what matters. I think heroism shouldn't be defined as a specific and small group of people. They should have a less defined definition so that everyone can get the chance to be a hero. Even the little deeds count. To be a hero, you must be helpful, like the organization suicide hotline, and the children of Birmingham. Another trait that must be acquired is to always be selfless, Rosa Parks shows this quality and as the real life Seattle superhero, Phoenix Jones. The children of Birmingham are helpful because they got involved and made a difference by marching for black civil rights. For example, Martin Luther King said in the video about the children of Birmingham, "don't hold them back if they want to go to jail, for they are doing a job for America and for all." The parents of the children thought it was a bad idea for them to get involved in the violence and segregation. Turns out, it was a favor to them what the children did. The effect of the children walking for miles on the streets of Birmingham, Alabama was inspirational. All because they wanted respect and equality. Two basic human right we have in our world now. Which if you think about it, was because of their help. Their stance towards the right direction led us to where we are now. Also, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline organization is helpful because they are a support system for people who are thinking of/or will be committing suicide. For example, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline website says, "Suicide is not inevitable for anyone. By starting the conversation, providing support, and directing help to those who need it, we can prevent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. My Hero A Hero What does make a hero a hero? Is it there looks? Alternatively, maybe is it their personality? However, the question is what are those essential qualities that make one a hero? Different people require different heroes to look up to or try to emulate. However, whoever it may be, they all possess certain qualities. My hero is my mother, for the reason that she is selfless, compassion, and courage. That kind of selflessness can often be premeditated, since concentrating on others' needs often winds up helping one accomplish one's own goals. However, a heroic leader does so without any anticipation of a return. The display and concern show the care one has for others. This can often apparent itself in strong but gentle actions planned to increase the lives of others. Courage and bravery come to mind first when we think of heroism. However, it is difficult to achieve anything truly heroic unless one is up against overwhelming chances. As Nelson Mandela put it, "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." These minor acts of heroism rarely attract any notice. A true hero is always sympathetic, benevolent and shows a great deal of compassion and sympathy to those poorly or in agony. He or she keeps away judgements; that are oriented to the self and embraces an attitude that serves others. Selflessness is an extremely important heroic trait, maybe the uppermost important. It is the driving force behind heroism. Heroes become heroes when they do something for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Every Time you need his help he is going to be there for you no matter what. Austin always puts others first before himself no matter where he is or what he is doing. Putting yourself first in life is a very good quality to have. Not everyone will drop what they are doing to help others out. The interview taught me some important things that I should value. I really look up to him. He has been like a brother to me. He has always been their for me no matter what. Before we started to do the interview I was really nervous. I had to think of questions and Austin helped me out on it too. He has always helped me on stuff that i have struggled with. During the interview, I learned how important it is to stay in school and go to college to accomplish my goals in life. After the interview, I got to see how much he valued education andfamily. Those values are super important to have to be successful in life. Austin has impacted my life in a lot of different ways. One of those ways is by showing me how meaningful it is to show kindness and respect to everyone I meet. He has showed me the right path to go down in my life. He has also saved my life in the swimming pool. This kid across the street pulled the nuddle out from under me and I just sunk to the bottom. He was mowing and as I went under he looked in the pool and saw me go under so he runs as fast as he can, jumps in the pool and he had his wallet in his pocket and his phone but that didn't stop him. He jumped in the pool and pulled me out he had to start doing CPR and I started to cough up water and I hudge him and since that day i have been looking up to him. • 23. My Hero Is A Hero "The real hero is measured not by the size of his strength, but by the size of his heart". When I was a kid a lot of people asked me who my hero was and I often responded with a name of some celebrity who performed a cool stunt or had strength. As time passed by and I started understanding things, I understood hero is not someone who has strength, power, skills. In fact hero is someone who has a bigger heart, someone who has more love to give than strength, or someone who is skilled on thinking for the good of others. A hero can be recognized by the work he has done, by the sacrifices he has made, and how he changed the life of a different person and that is exactly what my dad did, He changed my life. He is My Hero Imagine how hard it must be to leave a place that has given you everything, just so your kids would have a better life, education, job, etc. It was a hard decision that my dad made when he chose to leave Nepal and come to USA. Moving to a place where literally everything is different, language, culture etc., all because your kid would have a better education, lifestyle, future etc. My dad was pretty devastated when he found out that he had to leave everything that he has worked his whole life for. I never thought what must be going through his mind at the time. When I told him I want to leave Nepal and come to USA the only thing that he asked me was "Will you be happy?' And I responded yes. That was the moment my life changed and that all happened because of my dad. When I was a kid my dad used the phrase "Simple living high thinking" a lot. When we were on our way to USA, we had to spend 3–4 nights in capital Nepal. The place was pretty smelly but the excitement of coming to USA took over. I saw how sad my dad was at that moment and there was nothing I could do, I mean I was pretty immature at that time. We left Kathmandu and we had a long 2 days ahead of us. We landed in Dubai and we had to spend 8 hours in the airport before we could catch our next flight. • 24. My Hero Is My Youth Leader Many of you have people in your life that influence you in different ways, to help you make decisions and to help you in your journey through life. Others of you have people you see for merely a minute or two but they do something that impacts you for the rest of your life. Many people call people like that heroes, even though the people who are influencing you and helping you will never feel as though they have done anything that is worth the title "hero". For me personally the person that I would consider my hero would be my youth leader at church, Stephanie. She has inspired me to do many things to help other people as she has helped me. Some of the different ways that she has showed heroism is in the way she goes on mission's trips all around the world to help other people. People who are less fortunate and are in need of help. She has helped me in other ways as well, by showing me how to be a good role model to the other girls in my youth group, how to show leadership with the people around me and to get out of my comfort zone and engage myself in activities that I normally would avoid. She has been on eight different mission's trips over the years and some of those trips she has gone on multiple times. Some of those trips were with our church and some were with her previous place of employment. She used to be an assistant manager at Family Christian Book Store that was located in the West Acres Mall in Fargo, ND. Before they closed in February of 2017 they were a ... • 26. My Hero Essay What is the definition of a hero? Is hero supposed to be a person who fights crime and saves people from harm's way? Or a person who wears a costume or a cape and use their superpowers for justice? Whenever we think of heroes, characters such as Batman and Superman come to our mind, but what we don't usually consider are the real life heroes we see around us every day who can be anyone from our family, friends to police officers, firefighters and soldiers fighting for our country. I personally believe a hero is someone who has made a positive impact in my life. This person might not feel that the deeds he or she performed have any significance but to me these deeds mean a lot. This person can be someone who was there for me when I needed them the most, supported me during hardships, helped me get on my feet when I was feeling down and gave hope when everything seemed lost. To me my everyday hero is my mother. The reason why I chose my mother as my everyday hero is due to the fact that she is the one responsible for making me the person I am today. When I was young I use to get sick often, I had asthma since a very young age and often during the night I would get asthma attacks. My parents would always get worried if my asthma got really bad, it would often get so bad that they would have to take me to the hospital. • 27. My Hero Is A Hero The idea of a hero is very prominent in today's society. At the start of a person's life, a hero is a grown man wearing tights who flies around saving helpless citizens from evil scientists. As we age, however, the definition of what a true hero is will change. A police officer charging headfirst into a hostage situation is undoubtable a hero, but a father who works eighty hours a week, so his children can have a brighter future, and still makes time to be there for all of their important moments is just as heroic. After my superhero phase, I had a fairly common hero for young boys, the men and women of the United States military. With over one million men and women serving in the United States armed forces, this may be the largest group of heroes in the world. These men and women devote their lives to maintaining the freedoms that we enjoy each and every day. While many serve, and then return to their families, far too many never make the journey home. Standing for bravery and strength, the men and women of the United States armed forces were, and still are, my heroes. With the dream of carrying on the great tradition of service to my country, I planned to join the army after college. I longed to be the person that people looked up to and appreciated for keeping them safe. The plan was to become a commissioned officer leading a team of infantrymen with bravery and determination. A few times I realized you can't take things for granted was when my dad went off to war and my mom got cancer. These were two significant times in my life where I was taught to never take life for granted. My two heroes are my mom and dad and they are very many reasons why but I'm going to share a few reasons. My dad is one of my heroes for many reasons. He is in the army and fights for our country. I think that every person in the army is a hero because of how brave they are. My dad would always tell me stories of him killing the bad guys and saving us from the terrorist. One time he shot the enemy and his daughter ran up to my dad and started crying, screaming, and hitting him because he killed her dad, but if he didn't kill him my dad would've been killed. This story really moved me because it's sad and wonderful at the same time. He shows his heroism because he killed the bad guy to save himself and others, but it's sad because someone got killed and his daughter was heartbroken. He also had to lead his troops into combat which I think is heroic because it takes a brave person to put themselves first. Also, he didn't have to be in the army, he chooses to because he wanted to help people even if it meant he was going to be killed.
