MATHS STATION
Maths Station is the perfect workbook to complement your child’s maths studies. Everything they will ever need is found in the kit.
SATeacher was started in 2003 by Dreyer Lötter and Liezel Blom, who are the directors of the company. SATeacher’s journey started when Liezel and Dreyer realised through the development of the teachers in South Africa, that there was a desperate need for structured teaching plans and resources, based on the National Curriculum. Having years of teaching experience, intensive international research and extensive knowledge about the curriculum, they started the development of these teaching plans and resources for the teachers of South Africa. The journey also took them on different paths which included projects such as GPLMS for the Gauteng Department of Education, resource packs for Robben Island Museum and PAMSA. More recent was the development of resource packs for Maropeng – Cradle of Humankind and PRASA. Projects SATeacher are involved in at present include the appointment by the Ministry of Education for the development of the DBE Learner Books where they developed the Mathematics Leaner Books for Grades 1 to 9. The DBE learner books are the prescribed books for all registered schools in SA. SATeacher are currently completing the Teacher Guides for these books. Again their knowledge and research enabled them to align these books with the curriculum.
Maths Station also approached SATeacher in 2014 to develop the Maths Station learner books which are fully aligned with the CAPS curriculum. The team that was designated for this task, lead by Liezel and Dreyer, applied all their knowledge and experience to ensure that this product was of the highest quality, learner friendly and aligned with the CAPS. Completing these lesson/worksheets will enable the learner to understand Mathematics which will improve results at school and eliminate the fear of Mathematics. Learner books include video content which was prepared by highly experienced mathematics teachers and the practice test questions are presented by actual qualified mathematics teachers.
Each learner book is also accompanied with an Audio CD which assists with independent learning.
The contents pages in the front of each book include the CAPS link to each worksheet.
