Our guest speaker for this 54th
Graduation Exercises is an alumnus of Villa Petrona Elementary
School, Batch 2009. He took his secondary education at San Jose National High School from 2009 to 2014,
and finished college at Libon Community College in the year 2018 with the degree Bachelor of Elementary
Education. He successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers after graduation. However,
finding a teaching job opportunity was tough and seemed so wild for him. To make himself less idle while
waiting to be hired as a teacher, he ventured in different jobs which for him are challenging opportunities
where he could fully use his skills for the success of the company.
Despite having been employed in companies where he sought for a job, he continued to search
for career opportunities that would fit his educational qualifications or at least be employed in a
government agency. The long wait finally went over in May 2022, when he took oath as new personnel of
the Philippine National Police, undergone months of training and graduated the Public Safety Basic Recruit
Course last April 11 this year. And now, the eligible teacher turned into a police officer. Ladies and
gentlemen, let’s welcome our guest speaker with a round of applause, Police Officer John Deric De La
