Editor's Notes
Decided not to rank/gradeWe have chosen to take a formative approach in helping states to identify areas of strength and weakness and offer our expertiseFocus on answering the question, and determining if a state meets the criteria, but did do some counting to see which states might require 1 year of induction, which states require induction but don’t provide dedicated funding, which states require 2 years of induction, tie it to licensure and provide dedicated funding?
Remind them:In the end states are largely falling short and only 3 states require induction for 2+ years and fund it (Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa-Special Mentions: California, Illinois).
