1. To Whom This May Concern,
This is a letter of recommendation for Lailah Hamed.
I was the Get Real Mentoring Director for the Girl Scouts in Florida. We receive state grant
money to implement the Get Real mentoring program for at risk middle school girls. The Girl
Scouts must apply for the funding each year. The program must adhere to all state and federal
guidelines with regard to receiving grant money.
Lailah has worked for the Girl Scouts in the Get Real program from November of 2005. I was Ms.
Hamed’s immediate supervisor responsible for obtaining, reviewing, and monitoring her work.
Ms. Hamed was expected to keep accurate attendance, grades, suspensions, referrals, lesson
plans, as well as quarterly report submissions. Her other duties also entailed working as a team
to improve the quality of the program. This encompassed everything from marketing to lesson
plan development to community/school development.
Ms. Hamed performed all of the previous mentioned tasks above and beyond what was expected.
Her paperwork was always submitted her reports in a timely fashion. Ms. Hamed researched
curriculums and presented them to our group to improve quality.
I would be remised if I did not mention her passion for the success of the program and girls. Her
passion for the program came through in the quality of her work. Besides being a superb
employee she is of highest character. Ms. Hamed is one of the most honest and hardworking
people I have ever met. You will not be disappointed in hiring her with your agency.
Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Milagros Giardelli Rose
