(re)construction theories of change (TOC); drafting results chains; and
designing monitoring and evaluation strategies and systems.
 Identified, assessed the feasibility and designed inclusive market
development programmes (including applying an M4P approach) for
numerous sectors and sub-sectors, including agriculture, horticulture,
agro-industry, manufacturing and services, in more than 20 countries in
Africa and Asia.
 Experience in capacity building and coaching of top managers and policy
makers (up to ministerial level) in public entities and programmes in
management and planning for inclusive economic development.
 Facilitated management and leadership capacity building of more than 10
private business membership organisations in 7 countries
 Was team leader in 37 missions and developed ample familiarity working
flexibly and effectively with development partners and public and private
sector entities involved in private sector and trade development.

Fund (NTF-II), Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing
countries (CBI) & International Trade Centre (ITC)
Led seven identification and five feasibility missions for the NTF-II, a four year
joint programme of CBI and the International Trade Centre (ITC) aiming at
enhancing the regional and global competitiveness of SMEs. Subsequently
designed six projects in the following sector-country combinations: tree fruits
in Kenya; coffee in Uganda; Information Technology and Enabling Services
(ITES) in Bangladesh; mangoes in Senegal; and automotive parts and
Rooibos tea in South Africa.
