 Pulled telephone log -- Determined which number was
hacked
 Disabled hacked number and deleted voice mailbox
 Restricted international calling
 Disabled out-dialing (calling from an outside line)
 Researched “Phreaking” and it’s prevention methods
 Researched (Business Communication Manager) BCM450
operations and programming in order to make the proper
changes in the BCM

 Changed BMC Admin passwords
 Changed voicemail to strict password polices
 Made sure all IP extensions are protected with a strong
password.
 Installed real-time monitoring program
 Deleted all un-used IP Extensions and voicemail boxes.

assistants (PDA), and wireless devices that support e-mail
 Message Forwarding can attach the voice or fax message
to the forwarded e-mail message so users can play the
voice message or view the fax on the destination device.
