Key scene: The hitman and the young man squareoff in a brutal fight that ends
with the hitman shooting the young man dead, and strolling off in style.
Messageor moral: The film is designed to entertain, though an important
lesson learnt from watching it would be always repay money you’ve borrowed
froma criminal gang if you wantto live.
Key characters: Thereare two main characters; the young man who borrows
the money froma criminal gang (without realising they are a criminal gang) in
order to get somewhere/buy something, and the ultra-stylish hitman who is
sent to retrieve the money and, if he doesn’t haveit, kill him.
Audience: The target audience for my film is people who enjoy quality action
thrillers such as the Bond, Bourne and Mission: Impossibleseries, as wellas
films that feature stylish hitmen such as Pulp Fiction. This audience would be
predominantly male, aged between 16- 50, and range from a D-B on the NRS
Social Demographic Scale.
Potential filming locations: I was thinking a fairly quiet backstreetin Ringwood
somewhere, maybeGravel Lane, as this is the sortof discreet place a hitman
might choose to kill someone, or alternatively an empty field in the New
Forest.
Who might I cast: For the role of the unique, stylish and dangerously
charismatic hitman, I would almost certainly cast my good friend and
compelling character Osisin Kelleher, as I think he has quirky butcool way
about him that no actor could replicate, making him the perfect choice to be a
memorable hitman. As for the young man who owes the gang money, I could
get Joe Manzi, among other choices, to play him.
