1. How effective is the combination of
your main product and ancillary
texts?

2. I tried to show continuity throughout my ancillary task and
my main product by using the same filters, the same
model, similar clothing, similar hair styles and the same
simple makeup. To show that my entire ancillary task was
all part of the same DigiPak, I used the same filter on all
images I used and also the same font or a similar font to
make it obvious they were from the same album. To show
that my actress in my video was the same throughout, she
wore the same clothing in different scenes, she wore the
same plain and simple makeup and she also kept her hair
the same or similar.

3. I believe that my ancillary task and video are
effective as I followed most conventions of both as
well as challenging them at the same time which I
think helped me make effective products. I used the
same sizing for a CD and album when making my
own yet used different colour schemes to normal
indie pop album art. In my music video I chose to do
a lot of choppy scene changes similar to a general
indie pop music video but I chose to lip sync the
whole way through my video adding in snippets of
my actress rather than have a story line like the
majority of other indie pop music videos.

4. Overall, I think the combination of my
main product and my ancillary texts are
effective as they show continuity
throughout and also they show clear
conventions as well as differences which
make them individual. My music video
and ancillary task work well together and
I think this is shown clearly within both
products.
