To calculate the concentration of acetic acid in vinegar, CH3COOH– via titration methods.

Household vinegar (CH3COOH)

Method:
Before the commencement of the practical, all necessary glassware and measurement tools were rinsed appropriately. The pipette was rinsed three times
with vinegar solution, whereas the volumetric flask was rinsed three times with distilled water. 20mL of the vinegar solution was measured and
transferred to the volumetric flask, where it was diluted with distilled water by filling the flask to the 200mL graduation line. A 20ml aliquot of the
aforementioned solution was extracted from the volumetric flask via the volumetric pipette and subsequently transferred to the conical flask. Three
drops of phenolphthalein indicator were then added. The burette was filled with the provided NaOH solution of 0.1M, with volume measurements
taken from the bottom of the meniscus. The conical flask was placed under the burette, from which a rough titration of the vinegar solution began.
Titrations halted once a permanent color change was visible in the conical flask. This process was repeated until three concordant titre values were
obtained.

Mass Density Of An Unknown Metal Essay
The goal of this experiment was to determine the mass density of an unknown metal. Five different vernier capillaries and double pan balances were
used to measure the metal. The plan of action was to find the average density to reduce random error, in addition to, calculating the standard error to
observe the reliability of proposed average. Ideally, the metal would identify more comparably with gold or aluminum. The concepts of mass density,
standard error, average, one–dimensional statistics, precision / accuracy, and test of accuracy were explored. A hollow cylinder of metal was given
to each lab group. Initially, the mass of the metal was determined with a double pan balance. The metal was placed on the balance and the
instrument's notch and slider was used to interpret the mass. The next step was determining the inner radius, outer radius and height of the cylinder to
find the volume. A vernier caliper was used to measure those components. The vernier caliper included an inner and outer "jaw" that measures length.
The results of the double pan balance and vernier caliper was recorded in a data sheet, and the procedure was repeated five times with different
instruments. The data was placed in an excel file where the mass density, average, standard error, test of accuracy, and general comparison with the two

The goal of this lab was to determine the effects of different amounts of Vinegar on the temperature in the reaction NaHCO3 + HC2H3O2 в†’
NaC2H3O2 + H2O + CO2.
My lab partner and I researched and experimented with the temperature after this reaction because we were intrigued by the solution seeming colder in
the demonstration during class. We wondered why and how a reaction can yield decreasing temperatures. We also wondered how vinegar would affect
the temperature change caused by the reaction. This lead to our experiment to investigate the relationship between the amount of vinegar in the reaction
and the temperature of the solution 40s after the reaction commences.
The Hypothesis
If the amount of vinegar is increased then the temperature of the solution will drop until it stabilizes at a certain point. The dependent variable in this
experiment (the temperature) will stay the exact same without any vinegar being added because of the lack of reaction. If more vinegar is added I
believe the temperature will continue to get colder until a certain point where the temperature will stabilize.
Theory/ Background Information/Abstract.
I believe my hypothesis will be true because from my research I have found that the reaction between baking soda and vinegar is an endothermic

The results accept the hypothesis and show that the Black can is the least efficient at radiating heat, with a starting exterior temperature of 18В°C and
a concluding exterior temperature of 25В°C (difference of 7В°C). While the silver can (most efficient at radiating heat) started with an exterior
temperature of 19В°C and ended with an exterior temperature of 29В°C (difference of 10В°C). The white can was in between the two other cans
starting with an exterior temperature of 18В°C and finishing at 27В°C (difference of 9В°C).
The black, silver and white cans all started with an interior temperature of 80В°C but concluded with interior temperatures of 40В°C, 33В°C and
