This document provides instructions for an assignment to create a comic strip using photographs that depicts dialog between inanimate objects. Students must select 2-5 objects, research them, and develop story ideas showing the objects conversing about their experiences, emotions, history and hopes. A 3-5 page comic must be compiled from photographs with word bubbles showing the objects' dialog. The comic should have a clear narrative and discuss issues in an appropriate manner. Progress will be checked in tutorials to refine ideas and review drafts, with the final comic due in Week 12. The assignment aims to develop empathetic perspective-taking and innovation through imagining objects' points of view.

15. We see things we take for granted
everyday. What are those things?
Could they be rooms, materials we
use and never realized that they have
so much of value.
What about simple machines, objects
that physically support us, shelter us
or have realized something else that
we never thought about?
If you were them, how would you
reflect?
16. What would this object say if it could
talk and wanted to tell us about its
history?
Where has it been? What it has done?
What events it has witnessed?
How does it feel? How deep is its
relationship to humans?
Can the object describe critically about
injustice and what should/could be
done for improvements?
17. Can the object tell about its past and
present, but also about its hopes for the
future.
If it has conversations with other objects
what would they talk about?
CTS element: emphatic projection,
ideation, basic research skills,
understanding observation, choice-
making, aspects of innovation.

studying about the objects and choose one
as a main character. Then imagine the topics that these
objects will discuss or say to each other.
Do imagine the scenario, settings or situations.
You will then have to create a storyline or narrative
or script in the form of a photographic comic.
It could be one main story or in several parts.

conversation between two or more people
as a feature of a book, play, or movie.
But in this case you are only

between objects only!
20. The comic dialog could be about an object’s
expression, recounting its history,
experience, emotions and etc.
Use objects, spaces and materials you can find
anywhere.
These ‘objects’ must be inanimate objects,
which means ‘non-living’
except for smartphones.
