After Al–Qaeda's involvement in the Cold War, their planned attacks were a set–up for something
bigger: the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11th, 2001. Each terrorist
attack got progressively worse in terms of life lost and the amount of lives the attack altered. Each
attack got closer in time, going from years apart to months apart. The increase in attacks should have
set off alarms as to what was going to happen. The attacks that follow are the ones that were

The attacks in Yemen went unnoticed by many people, including the United States, while the attacks
were noted as a success on Al–Qaeda's beliefs. While the attacks did not cause much commotion or

life of the United States current President, Bill Clinton. The third attack was to happen in Manila,

September 11th, 2001, nineteen terrorist from the Islamic terrorist group al–Qaeda prepared to

Another reason the attack could have been avoided is if back then America had better airport
security. Back then pocket knives that were at most four inches long were allowed on board. The
hijackers were able to get multiple knives, tear gas, mace, and similar chemicals. One last reason
