2. 1.INT. CURTIS’S BEDROOM. MORNING
sound of alarm clock over title sequence
Curtis a teenage boy, brunette, glasses/geeky (with
potential) stares up at the ceiling expressionless,
depressed no motivation to get out of bed.
2.INT. STAIRS
Curtis lethargically walks down stairs to kitchen.
3.INT. KITCHEN
Curtis goes into the kitchen, finds a note on the fridge
saying ’Wont be back till late, Dad’ looks in fridge takes
milk, takes cereal out of the cupboard sits on his own at
the table in silence.
3.INT. BEDROOM
Looks in cupboard. puts on some creased clothes, does not
make an effort with what he wears. leaves his hair how it
is, and looks in the mirror. sighs.
4.EXT. WALKING TO BUS STOP
Curtis is walking down an empty road to the bus stop, head
down, no interest in things around him. gets to the bus stop
and stands next to a poster on the bus stop of a beautiful
girl. sits down expressionless. (fade out black out)
5.INT. BEDROOM
(fade in, alarm going off) waking up in the morning still no
enthusiasm to get out of bed. sits up in bed and looks
around the room trying to find some kind of motivation.
6.INT. KITCHEN
sits in the kitchen alone eating his usual cereal

7.EXT. WALKING TO BUS STOP
Curtis is walking towards the bus stop when he sees a girl
walking towards him she waves and he puts his head down and
decides to walk on but she keeps waving and walking towards
him so he looks around and decides to try waving back.
someone gets out of the car just in front of him and goes to
hug the girl. He becomes very embarrassed and puts turns
around making sure no one saw and sits with his head down at
the bus stop.
8.INT. ON THE BUS
Curtis gets on the bus. He is sitting at the back of the bus
center on his own, staring at the floor uninterested,
unmotivated. He looks up and sees a boy and a girl kissing
and holding hands as they come onto the bus and the sit in
front of him. He keeps his head down. (Fade out black out)
9.INT. IN BEDROOM
(Fade in) Curtis wakes up to the alarm clock lies in bed,
again motionless.
10.INT. IN KITCHEN
eats breakfast alone (shows repetitiveness of the same day
repeating itself same as scene 6)
11.EXT. BUS STOP
sitting waiting for his bus, empty bus stop as usual, spots
a girl rushing to the bus stop, she misses her bus and sits
on the other end of the bench. he sits up straight and turns
to look at her with a shy/embarrassed expression. she looks
back and he turns away. she notices him looking and laughs
to herself. she then goes on the bus. (fade out black out)
12.INT. IN HIS BEDROOM
(fade in) alarm goes off, gets out faster then he normally
does, looks in the mirror fixes his hair, makes an effort
with what he is wearing looks in cupboard and gives it a lot
of thought. He walks quickly down the road to get to the bus
stop.

13.EXT. BUS STOP
He sits at the bus stop and there is no sign of her, she
isn’t there. He decides to get on the bus with his head
down. The bus leaves just as Colette turns the corner onto
the street.(fade out black out)
14.INT. BEDROOM
(fade in) Hears alarm and gives it another go, gets up
quickly, does his hair, decides not to eat breakfast and
just grabs a cereal bar from the cupboard and leaves the
house.
15.EXT. BUS STOP
He waits at the bus stop sees his bus, he considers taking
it but decides to miss it to give it a chance that shes
coming again. he sits at the bus stop and waits patiently as
she finally turns up. he sees her and sits up straight again
and keeps turning to look at her. she indicates to him that
hes got a mark on his trousers and he looks down embarrassed
and tries to get it off. She laughs, then he laughs. (they
have connected). he gets on his bus and turns back and
smiles. (fade out black out)
16.INT. BEDROOM
(fade in) He doesn’t wait for the alarm to go off, jump out
of bed, quickly checks in the mirror, puts his clothes on
and rushes out of the door.
17.EXT. BUS STOP
He gets to the bus stop and waits for her she is walking
towards the bus stop in the rain with no umbrella. her books
are getting wet and as she is walking she slips on a puddle.
he bucks up the courage to go up to her and puts his
umbrella over her head. he notices on the floor her book
saying French to English dictionary. he takes this as an
opportunity and says ’Bonjour.’ she smiles.
