of October ofevery year as National Children's Month.
The Filipino peopleshould celebrateand recognize the Filipino children as the most valuable asset ofthe
nation;that the State recognizes the vital role ofthe youth in nation-building and shall promote and
protect their physical, moral,spiritual, intellectual,and social well-being.
It shall inculcate in the youth patriotism and nationalism, and encourage their involvement in public and
civic affairs”;and the designation ofa month to commemorate the Filipino children will emphasize the
importance ofthe role ofthe child within the Filipino family and within Philippine society.
2. Around the world, children are suffering.They arefacing an extremelack ofhealthcare, food, school
supplies, and more. Some ofthem have never experiencedlife without the daily struggleto survive.
While adults have a responsibility to care for children every day ofevery month, many ofthese kids fall
through the cracks. October is a special time for recognizing both their immediate needs and future
aspirations.All children deserveto wake up with food on the table and to sleep knowing that their dreams
are within reach. It is up to us to ensure that these children arenot left behind.
Children’s Month is celebrated to make peopleaware that children are the real future ofthe country. So
