3. Watch Video Tutorial: The Most Common Design Mistakes Made by
Non-Designers.
4. Investigate statistical data from original sources (use links on the
project page or find other sources).
5. Choose statistical data and focus the data story you will tell in your
infographic.
6. Peer Review Textual Outline and Wireframe Part 1 Due: Tuesday
02/25. Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to
post a draft of your textual outline and the photo of your wireframe
sketch.
NOTE: you will need to create a thread to post the textual outline,
then reply to that thread to post the wireframe.

Thursday 02/27. Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the
directions to respond to a peer’s draft of the Textual Outline and

peer’s infographic.

1. Go to Tools and Resources, decide which tool you will use for the
Screencast, and do a test recording. Follow troubleshooting steps,
if you encounter technical issues.
2. Write the design justification script, practice it, and record your
screencast.
3. Peer Review Screencast Design Justification Part 1 Due: Tuesday
03/10. Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to
post your screencast.
4. Peer Review Screencast Design Justification Part 2 Due: Thursday
03/12. Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to
respond to a peer’s screencast.
PROJECT 3 DELIVERABLES DUE: Sunday 03/22. Submit your work to the submissions
drop box located at the bottom of the project page as follows:
• Self-Evaluation, submit a Word or PDF.
• Process Work for Infographic:
Textual Outline: submit a Word or PDF document file.
Wireframe: submit an image file (JPEG, PNG etc.).
• Deliverable 1: Infographic, submit as an image (JPEG, PNG, etc. file); PDF. OR post
the URL at the top of your self-evaluation if your infographic is on a host site.

• Deliverable 2: Screencast, submit the URL to your screencast in a document file
(you can use the same one as you used for the infographic).
To avoid a point penalty, verify your submission. Do not rely solely on bblearn’s
confirmation that your work submitted. You need to check that your work submitted
correctly. This means you need to go back to the drop box after submitting your work and
1) open your document files, and 2) check that the URL will work by cutting and pasting
what you submitted into a browser.
