2. Netflix
A possible distributor of our film could be Netflix, Netflix is a big online
streaming company with over 75 million people being subscribed to the
provider. Although they show blockbuster films, they also show independent
TV dramas and films, such as “take this Waltz” voted one of the best
independent films on Netflix. I think Netflix would be a good idea because it
would be cheaper then disturbing via DVDs or cinema release. This is because
we don’t have to pay for the actual disk or have to pay for a company to
physically distribute it. Also to add, people who have consoles such as xbox’s
or PlayStation, they can also gain access to Netflix and potentially watch our
film.
3. Youtube Red
Youtube Red is part of the video website called youtube, Youtube red is an
extra users can subscribe to, to gain access to hundreds of films and TV
shows. Like Netflix, Youtube red has a millions of paying customers. Like
Netflix, youtube red can be available on many platforms such as, on games
console, computers, tablets smartphones, etc. Due to the proliferation of
Mobile phones and tablets, people have been able to watch films etc, on the
go. Putting our film on this site would benefit us because it would widen the
demographic due to people using the devices more.
