3. Kal Lavelle
• Kal Lavelle an Irish singer songwriter living in London. Her
songs are captivating as her voice has been noticed by Alex
Kane (channel 4) as simply beautiful. Kal started playing the
guitar after winning a thousand pounds in a mars bar
competition when she was ten years old . Winning the
money she brought herself her first guitar and her mother a
washing machine.
• Through her younger years in school kal gained an entry to
study at the Ballyfemot music college ‘rock school’. She
then waved goodbye to her teenaged years as she won the
2fm Jacobs song contest ( a nationwide contest for the
young singer songwriters. Kal made an appearance on
television and the chance for her winning song to reach the
airwaves on Irelands national radio station.
4. Starting Career
• Kals single ‘ breakfast at
Tiffany’s’ was previously
chosen as single of the
week on ITunes .Also
three of her tracks were
featured on the Tom
Robinson BBC Radio 6
show and also her son
‘downstairs’ was carefully
chosen for the BBC
introducing podcast. She
was lately requested to
feature as a guest speaker
on the show which was
broadcasted nationwide .
5. Progression
• Coming to the conclusion Artful
(Dodgers) – Mark Hill was overwhelmed
with Kal Lavelle vocals he requested her
to feature on his track ‘could just be the
bassline’ the first single for his new
album. The new fresh track hit the
playlist on DJ Mistajams show ( Radio &
Radio 1Xtra) being the ‘Jam Hot Record
Of The Week’ and also playlisted on the
Radio 1Xtra. The video was also on
rotation on MTV. Kal spent last year
helping and supporting her chart
topper friend Ed Sheeran on his sold
out tour, and also supporting him in her
native Ireland which was a special
highlighted
