This document outlines the shots planned for scenes in a film trailer. It describes several establishing shots of characters entering a house and hugging to show their close relationship. It then shows a character staring at a picture of her son and questioning why she abandoned him. Several shots show this character reading a letter and the lights going out as another character holds a knife. Further shots depict a character holding a knife and talking to someone on a bed, seeming to threaten killing them. The final shots show the character holding a bloody knife while walking, building tension over whether they killed someone, to conclude the trailer.
4. SCENE:1 SHOT:3
Long shot of the mother and
daughter entering the house. I’m
not to sure about this shot as I
don’t think it adds anything to the
scene, in terms of showing their
close relationship. However I will
film this scene and decide when
editing.
10. SCENE:2 SHOT:4
Close up of Louise kissing the picture,
emphasising how much she loves him
which will make the audience question
why she abandoned him in the first
place.
21. SCENE:5 SHOT:6
Over the shoulder shot of
Michael lifting the knife up
and about to stab his sister
as she screams. This scene is
good as it adds to the horror
of the trailer and entices the
audience to watch it as they
want to know if he kills her
or not and if he will escape
or die
22. SCENE:6 SHOT:1
Mid shot of Michael holding a knife
with blood on it. Making the
audience wonder if he killed Louise.
This scene is good as it adds to the
tension of the trailer
26. SCENE:6 SHOT:5
Extreme close up of the
knife. This scene builds up
to the last scene of the
trailer showing Michael
isn’t here for peace but
revenge.
