Mission Trip Reflection
In July of 2015, I went on a mission trip with my youth group. We went to the Tau House in Cincinnati. During this mission trip, we got to pick
places to go to each day. Some people went to feed the homeless, while others packed boxes, and others went to watch kids. This trip changed my
perception on homeless people and it made me want to lend a hand to anyone in need.
While packing my bag for the mission trip, I got a little nervous. I was scared of talking to people from my youth group that I didn't know all that
well. I didn't know how much I was going to interact with homeless people, who I also didn't want to talk to. People from my youth group were very
familiar with my brothers, as they've been with them for a few years, but that was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While we were here, we had to make sandwiches, cut fruit, and package bagels, desserts, and other foods. One of the smells in there gave me a
huge headache, and I was surprised to see that the people who worked there immediately got me water and let me get out of the room. That made
me be a lot more friendly, which I know I should've been in the first place, and want to talk to the workers more. Some kids from my youth group
came to this location as well, and I had a lot of fun talking and messing around with them. A girl named Lillian was with me for the majority of the
time there and I became a lot closer with her. The more we talked, the better of friends we became. After we were done preparing the food, we got
to serve it to whoever came in the line at the window and garage door. There were so many friendly people that I was able to talk to. The number
of compliments, thank you's, and other polite things they said, surprised me. This especially made me realize that homeless people and the
hungry are simply still people. One guy actually sat next to us and drew a picture of my friend, Allison (who I was also able to get to know better
on this day). He was especially nice to us, telling us how pretty we were, and how thankful he was that us kids took time to come out and serve them.
Another guy, named Eric, came by to get food, and he was one of the funniest, craziest, people I've ever talked to. He made a lot of

Mission Trip Essay
For this year's mission trip, I went on the LoveMyCity #Manchester trip. This was my first mission trip, and I am completely grateful that it was this
amazing, eye–opening experience. Each day was a new adventure with arousing lessons. It was astonishing to see people with a crazy amount of
brokenness have so much hope.
Within the first night, I got to see all around Manchester and where certain things took place throughout the years. The next day we got to help out at
the local City Reach church, and go to Bring It, which is an afterschool program for refugees. Afterwards, we got educated by Deo (the person from
bring it) about refugees, and then Craig and Mary from 1269 Cafe about the homeless and drug community that joins them ... Show more content on

Being nervous even before the trip began, I had no idea what to expect. I wasn't that close to God, and barely trusted him. With all of these activities
going on, a lot of which had to do with interacting with people (which I did not usually try to do), I had to trust God for protection and guidance. At first
I was reluctant, maybe even afraid, to trust Him because I knew that mean stepping outside my comfort zone. I started to interact with people at the
food pantry or ice cream social. For example, as people were walking around at the food pantry at 1269, one man started to talk to me, so I
continued the conversation, although I was scared. I let go of the fear I had of talking, but still needed some time to myself at some point in the day.
This helped me grow in knowledge that when I trusted God, He used me to not only grow myself but also to touch and bless the people around me.
There were so many other things that went on, and other way I had grown throughout the week. THis one growth, however, stuck out to me the most.
With trusting God, I and so many others will be able to do amazing things we never thought we could do. And with trusting God, after a little bit, can

Pack smart
Check what the weather will be on the dates you are in Dubai. Be mindful of dress codes and customs especially in more historical areas and places
of worship. While Dubai is generally relaxed, it is best to dress modestly, even for children. Women may be required to wear head scarves and clothing
that covers the arms, shoulders, and legs when entering mosques.
Summer essentials
It is best to bring loose clothing that covers your arms and legs. Swimwear is allowed in beaches, swimming pools, spas, and for other water–related
activities. Late May to October are the hottest months, with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees. Bring items that will prevent sunburn such as lip
balms, sunscreen, sunglasses, wide–brimmed hats, and even umbrellas. Wear appropriate footwear to avoid burning your feet on beach sand. Do not
forget to pack water to avoid dehydration. Winter wear
From December to February, pack a light jacket or sweater as the desert can become quite chilly in the evenings. For women, pashminas or scarves can
provide warmth or as a modest cover–ups. You can still dress as you are like in the summer months as Dubai is warm and humid all throughout the
year, but may be a little bit colder during the winter

The Cedar Bend Trip Essay Essay
When I heard about the Cedar Bend trip, the first thought that came into my mind was that I have to avoid this trip. I tried a lot of things to get
away from this trip, but every person. But now I think about i wish i can go again. All the activities, songs, scary stories. Everything we did would be
memorable forever. The bus ride, cutting the chickens, makesulters, ice cream ,to say goodbye to cedar bend. I talked to said it is required and you
will love it. I then started thinking about the trip and reading the description about Cedar Bend. Now I am so glad I went and didn't back out. I never
had experience camping, being in the woods, or learning how to survive. I believe going to cedar bend was one of the best decision I made.
On the way to Cedar Bend I wasn't that excited . I was nervous and card to the whole trip. How will the people be, how will everyone react. I had a lot
of different stories from friends good and bad. Some Said the food doesn 't taste good. The dogs are not friendly, the place where we stay is
comfortable. But going there I realized everything was wrong. It depends on the person point of view and how their comfort level stand. Some people
appetize the hard work of everyone and how welcome everyone was.
I learned that I can adapt to any environment or situation if I have support from my friends. I was very scared, even uncomfortable at first. I
wondered if I would be able to fit in with my core group? Then when we were in the valley, Liv gave us

Personal Narrative: My Trip To Bahamas
oday I will be putting you guys in my shoes of my trip to the Bahamas, and what I did there. This was one of the best days of my whole life. We
wanted to go somewhere for vacation, but didn't know where. When my parents surprised me and my sister Haley that we were going to go on a
vacation, we were very happy. I was eager to pack and leave right that second that they told me. I remember going to Flordia and staying there for a
couple of days before the Bahamas. We went to the airport after Florida and got on theplane. I remember the wait to get onto the plane, and eating at a
wendy's inside of the airport.(It wasn't good.) When they said it was time to get on, I got onto the plane and called the window seat. The view was

Essay On The Galapago Trip
Off–the–Beaten Path Galapagos trips are rare; the restrictions in place pretty much rule them out. Any incursion into the Galapagos National Park is
done with a certified guide, boats are limited to stopping at each visitor site once in a fourteen day period and the notion of setting off on your to parts
unknown independently is distinctly and absolutely frowned upon.
While being saddled with a guide and limitations that prohibit independent travel is disconcerting to many, the advent of a new twist on an old
tradition offers relief to those is search of a trail blazing adventure.
The Galapagos Safari Camp is the real deal, taking its cue from African counterparts and giving people a genuine way to explore the islands. One that
embraces conservation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This adventure led me to update a guidebook, manage a non–profit travel club and through a maze of places that didn't make the cut. Needless to say,
my latest discovery is worth its salt and deserving of the time it takes to finish this article.
Conventional wisdom about the Galapagos dictates that trips are taken on boats, more islands are accessible in a limited amount of time. This way of
thinking isn't easily changed, but making a decision to take a land–based trip just makes sense. Time is spent getting to know the islands from a hands
on perspective, seeing the uninhabited destinations by day and spending the nights in the natural surroundings. Adding a different element to the trip
and bringing the environment to life.
Michael and Stephanie Mesdag realized this while on vacation. A trip into the highlands of Santa Cruz led them to a farm for sale next to the
National Park border. The subsequent purchase made way for two years of camping on the property while getting to know the islands culturally and
planning an environmentally friendly way to open up the Galapagos to a safari

Essay On Family Trip
Have you ever gotten on a family trip and wondered if it could possibly change the way you perceive life? Well, let me tell you that this exact matter
happened to me the last Fourth of July. When you are in your teenager years a person only thinks of one point and that's you, yourself, and you again.
That's what I had on my mind before going to this marvelous trip, but how I saw my future before I went, and how I saw it when I came back and
were very different. How could a mere and inoffensive family trip become such an important change in my life?
The twilight of the trip, what a baloney; or so I thought. Everything began on Friday the 1rst of July in the Miami Bay, All the cruises where standing

What I didn't count on was the fact that I was going to be swimming among them in a special pool on the hotel. This pool has the form of an antique
Maya temple, with an extensive toboggan at the top that passes right through the pool of sharks. That view while passing from inside the toboggan is
one am never going to forget and how could I if this trip was being my first time in so many ways; It was my first time outside the U.S, also it was my
first time on a cruise, and not to mention my first time swimming with sharks.
The next element that called my attention was something called the White party, it consisted of a truly big party on the deck of the boat where
every single person was supposed to dress in white and greed the captain and the crew. The next day we went to a private island, regardless to say
that it had also been my first time on a private island, it was a paradise like place. There everyone was doing fun activities, surfing, snorkeling, and
even biking. After spending the day there we went back to the ship and the next morning we were on the Miami Bay

California Road Trip
After a prolonged amount of reasoning, we've come to reach an agreement to convey a road trip from New Jersey to California. We chose these two
states because of the amount of distance between the two and because of the long adventures that could come along. Even though we know our
destination we could not just get up and drive without formulating any type of preparation beforehand. Personally, the best way to fully succeed a
non–stressful trip is to formulate everything you would need to know beforehand. With that being said, Byron and I had to research all the possible
information we need on this trip. Join us on the journey as we construct and strive to California.

A Trip To Mexico Research Paper
When going on a trip to Mexico, here is how you will want to pack. Firstly, you will want to look ahead at the weather forecast to see if there is a
chance of rain or colder weather. Second, you will need to dig out your luggage to start preparing for your trip. Third, you will need to find your
swim suits, i would recommend bringing at least two if not more. Four you should start to think of what clothing you would like to pack. I
personally would bring lots of summer clothes, but also a long pair of pants and a couple hoodies. Fifth, how many pairs of shoes are you planning
on packing. You should have at least 3 pairs, one that is comfortable to walk in, a pair you don't mind getting wet and a back up pair. There are lots of

Narrative Essay On A Trip To Honduras
Traveling can be enjoyable and frightening at the same time. Being from Honduras, my family would travel back in forth from the U.S. to Honduras
every summer. Being able to experience living in two different cultures was a good experience and allowed for a more understanding approach of
different societies and how the identity of the people living in those Society's is unique.
My favorite part of traveling was when it was time to go to the airport and getting onto the airplane. For the most part I enjoyed the plane the most
because as a kid I would always imagine was if it were a rise. On the summer trip of June of two thousand ten stood out from the rest due to the almost
fatal accident that occurred mid–flight. Usually, the flights were quite ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At first, the flight was normal and nothing out of the ordinary. Regularly, I would stare through the window as I saw the amazing views. The scariest
thing about being on a plane was when you would look down and see how far up you are.
As the long flight continued everything was good and the food was delicious. Everything was normal until there was weird noises that seemed to be
coming from the aircraft. This understandably frightened a lot of passengers and myself due to the knowledge of risks that are taken when flying.
You could hear the panic in the area as any passengers were calling the attendants, so they way ask them questions on what was going on. Sadly, I
could hear in the tone of the attendant's voices that they were as clueless as we were. Eventually we were given some news on the situation.
As word came from the pilots that there was an issue with one of the plane engines and that we should try and prepare for the worst and hope for the
best. Being a child, I began to cry because of the fear surrounded me from the passengers and my family. However, what amazed me was how
professional the flight attendants were throughout the whole flight. They showed on there actions that they were fearless and capable of trying to
protect as much as they

outside for a long period of time. The days I didn't go outside was cause it was over 100 degrees. Its like I said very hot but its very dry because of how
hot it was adn a way to explain it is as hot as an oven but as dry as dry leaves.People may think it can't be that bad but texas weather is something

Personal Narrative: My Trip To Colorado
Every year the cross–country team has a trip up to Colorado for team building and altitude training. I have gone on these trips with my team every
year and the time I spent with my team in Colorado makes up a large portion of my best memories of high school. The trip is mean to be an amalgam
of challenges and fun experiences, and I feel like I can fully enjoy the entertaining parts of the trip because I know that I have also worked hard the
remainder of the time. Driving in a van for hours to get to Colorado can get boring, but we usually find some way to make it fun with music and
games that the team brings along. Colorado is too far to make it in one day, so after the first day of driving we stop in a valley in New Mexico for the

I have a deep love for space so star gazing in that valley is a great experience for me. Unfortunately, we are only in the valley one night before the
team has to pile back into our vans and resume our trek to the mountains of Colorado. Once we get there, we start on our daily regimen of running
and hiking. The first few runs in the mountains are rough; running at an altitude much higher than home with much less oxygen is a challenge.
However, the altitude training pays off when we get home and in a strange way choking on a low oxygen atmosphere with your friends can be a bit
of a bonding experience, not particularly comfortable, but bonding nonetheless. The 8 to 16 mile hikes we complete take hours, but we fill the time
with chatting and photo taking and more music. There's also the tradition of seniors choosing "theme days" for the hikes where we all dress up in
funny or creative costumes to match a theme. Just imagine a swarm of 60 Disney princesses hiking up a mountain. We always joke that by the time we
get to the top, everything tastes delicious because we're so hungry for lunch. Off–brand Oreos become a 5 star dessert if we've been climbing long

Trip To Haiti
In the fall of 2014 I was presented with the opportunity to go on a missions trip to Zambia. We had a few meetings about this trip and interest
grew. Next thing I knew it was March of 2015 and I was headed off to Haiti. Plans had changed but I could never have imagined what great impact
this would have on my life. Haiti is not know for much but it is known for being poor. This might dissuade people from visiting, but for me it was
exactly what I needed. We got to Haiti and even in the airport saw the people desperate for money to feed themselves and their families. We took a
ten passenger plane up the mountain and as we flew we were able to see the poverty in the towns below. There were houses made up of four corner
poles with a tin roofs. The destruction from the earthquake still had not been recovered from. In this moment I realized how fortunate I was to have
not been in the earthquake as well as for simple things like four walls. We also flew over a sports complex that had been built for the Haitians after the

Yellowtone Mission Trip
Flashes of beautiful wildlife and unbelievable mountain ranges filled my eyes as our youth pastor showed us the destination of our next mission trip,

wanted to be fully one with nature and experience it with some of the people I loved most, my youth group. While planning for this trip, I had no idea
that by the end of it I would have hiked eighteen miles into the deep backcountry of Yellowstone with a forty–two pound pack on my back. That I
would have slept outside with only a simple tarp over my head and a can of bear spray by my pillow. That I would have helped remodel a dilapidated

My Favorite School Field Trip
Some people wouldn't think school could be fun. All that we do is learn. All field trips we go on are just educational and boring. Well some might be,
but many can be fun. You would never think somewhere you've always wanted to go to would be your next field trip. Somewhere really fun. I have
thought plenty of times in the past that I didn't want to go on the trip it was boring, but I was wrong and this is why.
My first favorite school memory was in eighth grade. I was in chorus and we were going on a trip to Massachusetts with the band for a
competition. I was super excited and couldn't wait to sell all of my tickets. When the day finally came I was so excited. We rode in a coach bus
which was really cool because I've never been in one before. When we arrived in Massachusetts we headed over to where we were having the
competition. The competition was being held at a really big school. We performed and sounded really good. I was super nervous I didn't want to mess
up since I had never done that before.
When we were finally done the competition we got our award handed to us and our tickets to get into Six Flags. We left the school and head off on
our journey to Agawam, Massachusetts where Six Flags was located. As we got closer and closer there were flags on the side of the road leading us
there and my anticipation grew even stronger. I couldn't wait to get there.
Once we finally arrived everyone couldn't wait to get off the bus and have some fun. I was really excited. We got off the bus and had a really long walk
to get into the park. There were no close parking spaces for the bus so we had to go all the way to the back parking lot and walk up to the entrance.
Once I walked into the park it was so much bigger than any I expected. All the roller coasters were huge. I didn't get to go on any because everyone
would ask me to hold their stuff but a couple things I did go on were the bumper cars, a water slide, a boat ride and I played some mini games. Those
were fun enough for me but if I ever go back again I am going to try the roller coasters. The water slide was really fun. All you had to do was go up a
ramp inside a tube and the ramp would push you down the slide while water was being splashed at

My Experience With My Family Trips
"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better" was an outlook I found within my research for this trip (Einstein). Family trips
are always an interesting experience and sometimes hard to understand. Between the arguing and stress of packing, my family finds a way to get on the
road quite often. However, the next trip planned arose a new level of anxiety. Until this trip, I have never traveled to a place far from society and slept
within the pure darkness of the night. The adrenaline rush of hunting to find a safe space for shelter, hanging a bear bag, and climbing the cliffs of Red
River Gorge was an experience I did not expect; however, my father, brother, two other family friends, and I conquered this expedition... Show more

Spring break came faster than I imagined, and we were soon on the road to nowhere. The trip became more nerve racking as we made our last stop
with civilization at the park ranger 's office. The ranger was very hopeful that we would not run into too many issues within our trip, however, I was
not. He made it clear that we must take all bear precautions, even though he attempted to convince us there were no bears in the area. He also made it
clear we must find high ground for camp due to weather concerns. Listening to his safety speech made me regret committing to this adventure.
After gathering our packs and a map from the office, we approached the first trail. My shoes were tied, my pack was on securely, and I realized what
we were actually about to do. The first couple of miles seemed easy because the trail was wide and the elevation was only increasing slowly. By the
fourth mile, the trip began to change. My ten–year–old brother and his friend became tired and the elevation was dramatically increasing. The small
wide hills became steep, narrow rocks. Scott took the lead to find safe footwork. This is when I regretted the forty–pound backpack. Using Scott's hand
and a tree limb I pulled myself up an almost four–foot tall rock and then another. I turned around to look back at the rest of the group and realized I
was only a couple inches away from falling off an eighteen–foot drop.

The Importance Of My Trip To Japan
I woke up to the rumbling of the plane beneath me. The scenery around me was different, there was no Diamond Head, no scraggly cliffs and
golden beaches. Yet it was still so appealing to me. It was everything I hoped for, and I was no less than ecstatic. My first trip to Japan and I had no
idea what to expect, but at the same time I expected everything. This was my fourth attempt of going to Japan. I had tried many other times through
various means such as competitions, or cultural enrichment programs. Each attempt was a new loss to me but the phrase "give up" wasn't in my
thesaurus. Now I was on one of the biggest trips I could imagine courtesy of the Hiroshima Kenjin Kai, a group that was all about sticking to your roots
and learning everything available about your history; this trip was the highest level of that achievable in my opinion. I could finally reap the fruits of
my dedication to my wants, and at the same time learn about my family's geographical origin. This was a trip that showed the greater differences and
similarities in culture and history than I was accustomed to. Things learned and accepted both in the classroom and from TV would be thrown out the
window in favor of the things I saw and experienced in real life.
One of the most memorable moments was the beginning of the trip still in Hawaii while I was in the middle of meeting my fellow "Hawaiian"
delegates, they were all fun and great people, they were what I expected but at the same time extremely unique

What Is A Trip To Madrid Essay
Hello, friends today I am going to tell you about my life's most dangerous, horrible, adventurous and emotional story. This story related to my trip to
Madrid "yes it is the capital of Span" by ship. So first I am told you that how a plan of the trip was made.

Planning A Family Trip
Planning a family trip is appealing and a bit stressful, but that is all washed away once the journey commences because you are with family and
friends. And the thought of enjoying the trip alone never crosses your mind. Additionally, the odds of ending up in a somewhat seedy location is not
top of mind. In consideration, a significant portion of the of discussion and planning is based on the needs of your family. However, the same process
of planning a solo trip is not nearly the same thing, and if you are a female solo traveler, there are some additional tips and tricks to consider before
booking your next trip.
Earlier this year, for example, several popular sites including SmarterTravel.com and Trip.com published safety tip–focused articles detailing
experiences from other solo female travelers. The U.S. State Department also issued a list of countries this year which included Mexico, and Egypt
among others that were placed with travel alerts, to warn travelers overall of what to expect. Per the U.S. State Department travel warnings are issued,
"for short–term events we think you should know about when planning travel to a country. Examples of reasons for issuing a travel alert might include
an election season that is bound to have many strikes, demonstrations, or disturbances; a health alert like an outbreak of H1N1; or evidence of an
elevated risk of terrorist attacks. When these short–term events are over, we cancel the Travel Alert." Additionally, Trip.com found

Trip To Ecuador Research Paper
The most impactful event in my life so far was the two week service trip I took to Ecuador with Renbrook in june of 2015. It was a two week service
trip in which we would be helping at medical clinics and building wheelchair ramps for a school for disabled kids. I went into the trip having no
idea how much of an impact it would have on my life, and I definitely had no idea that I would create strong bonds with people I had never even met.
I came out of this trip a different person, a better person.
The night before we left for ecuador we were invited to spend the night at Renbrook. That night was the beginning to our bonding, we got pizza and
watched a movie and everyone had a great time. Even though we had an early morning flight the next day, we still stayed up until 12 because we
were having so much fun. The next morning was rough we had to wake up at 4 to drive to John F. Kennedy airport. We took two flights one to
Columbia and then one to Ecuador. When we got to ecuador we first went to our hotel a small one but very nice considering we were in a third world
country. For the next week we would be bonding, going on bike rides, walking in caves, and white water rafting. The first week was so fun and I
learned so much about everyone on the trip including some new things about myself. After the first week was over I was completely immersed in the
ecuadorian culture and the other people on the trip felt like family to me. I did not know it yet ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

little. The trip really made me think of how I should take every opportunity I am handed, for there are kids in other parts of the world that would do

Creative Writing: Nasa's Trip To Mars
At the start of NASA's astronaut training, there was ten of us, the only people that I knew at the time was Alex and Parker. The three of us, me being
Mark, had gone to school together and all had ambitions to become some first selected to go on the first trip to Mars. We knew that NASA's selection
process for astronauts was extremely difficult and the chances of us being together were unquestionably slim. Somehow the three of us made it. A
while later the three of us were brought into a meeting, it was the first trip to Mars. The NASA officials asked us if we would like to participate in the
trip. After a moment of articulating it over outside the conference room, we came back in and all shook hands and said we said: "It was a great honor."

Without saying a word to one another Alex got right to work trying to boot the systems back online.
After what seemed like forever, Alex turned around and pointed to a microscopic message in the bottom left corner of the screen. Parker and I left
our card game to grab a closer look at what was on the screen. The message was "Nobody knows what is happening."
The three of us stared at the message for a good minute before doing anything. Then Alex typed in a message to respond. The message said, "Who are
you?"
When the reply nevertheless came through the three of us went right back to the computer screen. The message wrote, "I am the one who has your
lives at my fingertips."
We thought extensively about our reply to try not to disturb whoever it was. When we eventually typed out our reply it read "Why are you doing this?"
The next day I was woken by Parker. He brought me to the screen, there was a new message he said. When the two of us arrived at the screen we
saw Alex waiting for us. The reply that we had waited for was "Your commander should know would you tell them, Parker?"
"What is it Parker?" Alex stared at

Descriptive Essay On My Winter Trip
There's nothing better than streaming down a mountain filled with snow, ski tips pointed straight, and reaching a maximum velocity. For me, an annual
ski trip in the mountains is an irreplaceable event. The only problem with these trips is living in Kansas. At best, I must travel 8 tedious hours by car to
the West to obtain my ideal vacation. And the returntrip is even worse because the fun is over, your body and patience is exhausted, and you
understand the long week of catching up on "to do" lists that will follow. Most often, the excitement of the trip far outweighs the tedious trip home,
but in January of 2013, I might have been convinced otherwise as my trip home was filled with speeding tickets, car problems, cramped spaces, and
almost six extra hours of travel. As my groups last day of skiing at Wolf Creek Ski Resort came to an end, we went to bed in good time in hopes of
leaving very early the next morning for an equally early return to Newton. As the driver, I was diligently driving through the twisting and turning
mountains with a purpose. For those who have driven in the mountains before, you are well aware of the difficulties of maintaining a constant speed
through steep grades of terrain. And sure enough, almost 2 hours into our trip home, I see a highway patrolman make a U–Turn, flip on his lights, and I
found myself pulling over my car. Cited for going too fast down the mountain, a very rude and argumentative patrolman did not see validity in my

This past summer I was able to go on a mission trip and it changed me forever. I went on this mission trip with my youth group because we like to

CMT, Carolina Mission Team, which sends groups of adults and youth to locations which are in need. This year we went to the city of St. Louis,
Missouri. Most of us worked at a site called the CAC, Christian Activities Center. It's an after school center for children and young teens to go and do

After the field was cleared we began to contemplate what we would be doing about the massive amounts of granite rocks in the middle of the
field. We came to the conclusion that we would be moving them from the middle of the field to the garden and using them to make raised bed
gardens. The only way to get that done in time was to load a trailer up with the granite and drive it to the other side and dump it and come fill it
again. We learned that over the week about 10 people moved almost 2 tons of granite. The nwe worked on taking down bad trees and building the
garden and clearing the field so it could be built on. People all over the community were amazed at what we were doing. The first day people

Road Trip
The scorching sun was up, and everyone could not help but complain about the hot summer. Since the previous day, the weather has been only
favorable for outdoors. We live in this small town, Rockville, in the Southwest with minimal population. The town's development and interest in
national matters is minimal and there is little regard for politics. Only a notable number of citizens have interests in technology and most of the town's
population consists of old men and women. The fabric that holds the town together is a specific type of culture whereby most parents adhere to
conservative parenting.
Even at school, not everything is done like any other school in the country. The program is rather slow, whereby not everyone attends class every day
and especially during summer seasons like this, we are allowed free breaks regularly. Together with my friends Jay and Kevin, we structured a plan for
a road trip outside town. Ideas like these usually pop out in our conversations, but never once had we been able to make them happen. This was our
lucky day since the plan directly fit to the free break the school principal had allowed due to the surging heat in that Friday afternoon. It was one of
those golden moments in life when one feels everything is falling into place.
At first, it had only been a lame joke since Jay insisted that we go by car and not use any public transport.

My Alaska Trip
Alaska is one of two states not connected to the U.S. mainland. A lot of people don't get the opportunity to visit Alaska because they believe it is
either too far away, too cold, or too undeveloped. People think that is a place where you have to hunt, fish, or catch your food because there are no
Walmarts or Targets. Mytrip destroyed my belief that it was an unexplored land with no opportunity for development, but on the contrary, it has a lot
of potential and is already a great place to visit. Throughout my trip I visited Denali National Park, went on a Holland America cruise, and went to
Seattle.

When our bus pulled up we hurried onto it. I didn't exactly know what we were doing, but I was still excited because it was something new that I
haven't done before. The bus was soon full of people eager to go to the excursion. When our bus pulled off the highway to a small gravel parkway
next to a river I wasn't sure what to expect. There was a lady that met us as we got off the bus and led us toward a small shack and what looked like
a meeting hall. She explained that the small shack, which was only about ten feet by ten feet on the sides, had housed four men for part of a winter
when they were hunting and got lost. We passed by a cage, however I didn't see any animals. The lady led us inside the bigger building to where a
man was waiting. They served us hot chocolate and donuts before they began talking. After everyone had refreshments they began to explain that a lot
of people in Alaska, especially in the backcountry, still had to hunt for every meal. They would go out for long periods at a time to get food to
support their family because the nearest grocery store would be miles and miles away. They then spoke about the native wildlife of Alaska and
showed us pelts of animals that they had killed or found. We were allowed to buy the pelts, though I would rather save my money for something else.
After that we were escorted outside to the big enclosure. I now saw that there were two reindeer roaming around. We were given food to feed them

Arizon Trip Of Hell
Minnesota: Trip of Hell It all started with a want and need of a dream fishing trip somewhere that we all have never really been to. So once I had
brought the idea up to my buddies we ended up coming up with the great idea to go on a fishing trip near Minneapolis Minnesota. So we came to the
conclusion that we would take a five day trip and that we would go old school and just camp for a week. Which little did we know that we were
totally unprepared for what would actually occur on this trip. First off we needed to ensure that we would all be able to give proper notice to our
families and our employers about the trip. So we waited nearly three weeks for everyone to finally hash all of that out. Then once that was done we
then gathered up everyone's money and made the reservations for this remote campsite that would comfortably fit all of us with all of our tents. This
site had to fit at the very least seven people, which included: Brandon, Seth, Ryan, Sarah, Brittany, Hunter and then myself. We also made sure that
the campsite had restrooms and showers nearby for convenient use. I also looked at the weather forecast for the area to make sure that the weather
would cooperate with our plans for that week. Finally after waiting for what seemed like forever for the departure date to arrive, it finally had arrived.
We were all packed up and ready to go. We were taking my mom's Nissan Armada and Seth's big jacked up F

Personal Narrative Essay: A Trip To Dublin
Sitting in my room here in Denmark and looking out at the grey clouds and few sunbeams from the sky. It reminds me of the student trip with my
class a few weeks ago. To travel from a place to another is somehow always special for me. I think it is interesting that I can go into a plane and some
hours later I am a new place. Sometimes the destination is very different from the one I came from. This time it was Dublin who had called me.
Actually, not only me but my whole class and belonging teachers. To travel alone or with someone has a lot to say about thetrip, I think. If you travelled
the exact same place, time and destination but once by yourself and another time with someone, it would almost be to different trips if you ask me. In
my eyes that is very beautiful and of significance to remember. In other words, it can give you a wide perspective on travelling, yourself but also life
in general.
That we were going to Dublin, was not our biggest wish, but the fact that we could travel and have some quality time together was very great. The
week before going to Dublin something sad happened. Our English teacher who we should have travelled with, was involved in an accident. That
meant that we first of all were very sorry about our teacher's situation. But we did also wonder if ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

I have this thing for windows. I love windows. Windows all alone, windows together, windows with good views, windows with bad views. I

Tennessee. I had mixed emotions that was going through as we settled into our cabins and looked around the camp site. It was definitely

so much more in just little time. Thursday came too quick. That night for worship we had a time to let God come in and remember why Jesus died for
us. It was a time to be with our church group and a time for tears throughout the whole camp. That night it was emotional, but warming. Through the
tears, I thought about what the elderly lady had told me. She reminded me that the things that we complain isn't as important as something that

One game normally played by the kids is "futbol" or commonly known to most Americans as soccer. No matter who it is they cannot resist playing
this simple yet challenging game of soccer with the kids who spend countless hours running up and down the old and worn down concrete soccer

That act of kindness is so special because these children do not have much, yet they still openly give their gifts to the people they love. One of the

Trip Trips For The New Years Day Parade
One thing that is on every bucket list is traveling abroad, or traveling to Paris, or going overseas, or some variation of that, and if one is lucky
enough then hopefully one day that dream will come true. I know personally how stressful it can be to plan a trip abroad; I have traveled to London

again to Europe in the summer of 2015 with an educational tours group. While I cannot tell you how to plan your trip solo, I do know the other aspects
of traveling. Today, I am here to tell you about the stresses and joys of planning a trip abroad; from planning what your destination/s will be to
planning your outfits for the trip, I will try to cover everything that you can possible need to know. The first thing you need to do when thinking of
traveling abroad is getting all the details planned or at least think them out. You need to figure out your main destination, you can later add on other
destinations but you should know where you want to go to for sure first. When figuring out your destination make sure, you really research that
country so you that you will know how safe you will be ("Traveler's Checklist."). When doing your research on your destination of choice you might
see if they have anything that you should be vaccinated for just for your safety. After you know where you are going or at least have an idea of where

Essay On Field Trip
Project: Let's Hit the Road!
A field trip is a tour by students to gain firsthand knowledge away from the classroom, as to a museum, a factory, a geological area, or to an
environment of certain plants and animals.
Field trips can connect schoolwork with the world, making it tangible and memorable. It stimulates questions and ideas at the beginning or end of a
unit. They also provide an experiential "text" for students to study and interrogate.

Mission Trip Reflection

  • 1. Mission Trip Reflection In July of 2015, I went on a mission trip with my youth group. We went to the Tau House in Cincinnati. During this mission trip, we got to pick places to go to each day. Some people went to feed the homeless, while others packed boxes, and others went to watch kids. This trip changed my perception on homeless people and it made me want to lend a hand to anyone in need. While packing my bag for the mission trip, I got a little nervous. I was scared of talking to people from my youth group that I didn't know all that well. I didn't know how much I was going to interact with homeless people, who I also didn't want to talk to. People from my youth group were very familiar with my brothers, as they've been with them for a few years, but that was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While we were here, we had to make sandwiches, cut fruit, and package bagels, desserts, and other foods. One of the smells in there gave me a huge headache, and I was surprised to see that the people who worked there immediately got me water and let me get out of the room. That made me be a lot more friendly, which I know I should've been in the first place, and want to talk to the workers more. Some kids from my youth group came to this location as well, and I had a lot of fun talking and messing around with them. A girl named Lillian was with me for the majority of the time there and I became a lot closer with her. The more we talked, the better of friends we became. After we were done preparing the food, we got to serve it to whoever came in the line at the window and garage door. There were so many friendly people that I was able to talk to. The number of compliments, thank you's, and other polite things they said, surprised me. This especially made me realize that homeless people and the hungry are simply still people. One guy actually sat next to us and drew a picture of my friend, Allison (who I was also able to get to know better on this day). He was especially nice to us, telling us how pretty we were, and how thankful he was that us kids took time to come out and serve them. Another guy, named Eric, came by to get food, and he was one of the funniest, craziest, people I've ever talked to. He made a lot of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Mission Trip Essay For this year's mission trip, I went on the LoveMyCity #Manchester trip. This was my first mission trip, and I am completely grateful that it was this amazing, eye–opening experience. Each day was a new adventure with arousing lessons. It was astonishing to see people with a crazy amount of brokenness have so much hope. Within the first night, I got to see all around Manchester and where certain things took place throughout the years. The next day we got to help out at the local City Reach church, and go to Bring It, which is an afterschool program for refugees. Afterwards, we got educated by Deo (the person from bring it) about refugees, and then Craig and Mary from 1269 Cafe about the homeless and drug community that joins them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Being nervous even before the trip began, I had no idea what to expect. I wasn't that close to God, and barely trusted him. With all of these activities going on, a lot of which had to do with interacting with people (which I did not usually try to do), I had to trust God for protection and guidance. At first I was reluctant, maybe even afraid, to trust Him because I knew that mean stepping outside my comfort zone. I started to interact with people at the food pantry or ice cream social. For example, as people were walking around at the food pantry at 1269, one man started to talk to me, so I continued the conversation, although I was scared. And with trusting God, after a little bit, can come some ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Pack smart Check what the weather will be on the dates you are in Dubai. Be mindful of dress codes and customs especially in more historical areas and places of worship. While Dubai is generally relaxed, it is best to dress modestly, even for children. Women may be required to wear head scarves and clothing that covers the arms, shoulders, and legs when entering mosques. Summer essentials It is best to bring loose clothing that covers your arms and legs. Swimwear is allowed in beaches, swimming pools, spas, and for other water–related activities. Late May to October are the hottest months, with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees. Bring items that will prevent sunburn such as lip balms, sunscreen, sunglasses, wide–brimmed hats, and even umbrellas. Wear appropriate footwear to avoid burning your feet on beach sand. Do not forget to pack water to avoid dehydration. Winter wear From December to February, pack a light jacket or sweater as the desert can become quite chilly in the evenings. For women, pashminas or scarves can provide warmth or as a modest cover–ups. You can still dress as you are like in the summer months as Dubai is warm and humid all throughout the year, but may be a little bit colder during the winter ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Cedar Bend Trip Essay Essay When I heard about the Cedar Bend trip, the first thought that came into my mind was that I have to avoid this trip. I tried a lot of things to get away from this trip, but every person. But now I think about i wish i can go again. All the activities, songs, scary stories. Everything we did would be memorable forever. The bus ride, cutting the chickens, makesulters, ice cream ,to say goodbye to cedar bend. I talked to said it is required and you will love it. I then started thinking about the trip and reading the description about Cedar Bend. Now I am so glad I went and didn't back out. I never had experience camping, being in the woods, or learning how to survive. I believe going to cedar bend was one of the best decision I made. On the way to Cedar Bend I wasn't that excited . I was nervous and card to the whole trip. How will the people be, how will everyone react. I had a lot of different stories from friends good and bad. Some Said the food doesn 't taste good. The dogs are not friendly, the place where we stay is comfortable. But going there I realized everything was wrong. It depends on the person point of view and how their comfort level stand. Some people appetize the hard work of everyone and how welcome everyone was. I learned that I can adapt to any environment or situation if I have support from my friends. I was very scared, even uncomfortable at first. I wondered if I would be able to fit in with my core group? Then when we were in the valley, Liv gave us ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We wanted to go somewhere for vacation, but didn't know where. When my parents surprised me and my sister Haley that we were going to go on a vacation, we were very happy. I was eager to pack and leave right that second that they told me. I remember going to Flordia and staying there for a couple of days before the Bahamas. We went to the airport after Florida and got on theplane. I remember the wait to get onto the plane, and eating at a wendy's inside of the airport.(It wasn't good.) • 6. Essay On The Galapago Trip Off–the–Beaten Path Galapagos trips are rare; the restrictions in place pretty much rule them out. Any incursion into the Galapagos National Park is done with a certified guide, boats are limited to stopping at each visitor site once in a fourteen day period and the notion of setting off on your to parts unknown independently is distinctly and absolutely frowned upon. While being saddled with a guide and limitations that prohibit independent travel is disconcerting to many, the advent of a new twist on an old tradition offers relief to those is search of a trail blazing adventure. The Galapagos Safari Camp is the real deal, taking its cue from African counterparts and giving people a genuine way to explore the islands. One that embraces conservation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This adventure led me to update a guidebook, manage a non–profit travel club and through a maze of places that didn't make the cut. Needless to say, my latest discovery is worth its salt and deserving of the time it takes to finish this article. Conventional wisdom about the Galapagos dictates that trips are taken on boats, more islands are accessible in a limited amount of time. This way of thinking isn't easily changed, but making a decision to take a land–based trip just makes sense. Time is spent getting to know the islands from a hands on perspective, seeing the uninhabited destinations by day and spending the nights in the natural surroundings. Adding a different element to the trip and bringing the environment to life. Michael and Stephanie Mesdag realized this while on vacation. A trip into the highlands of Santa Cruz led them to a farm for sale next to the National Park border. The subsequent purchase made way for two years of camping on the property while getting to know the islands culturally and planning an environmentally friendly way to open up the Galapagos to a safari ... • 7. Essay On Family Trip Have you ever gotten on a family trip and wondered if it could possibly change the way you perceive life? Well, let me tell you that this exact matter happened to me the last Fourth of July. When you are in your teenager years a person only thinks of one point and that's you, yourself, and you again. That's what I had on my mind before going to this marvelous trip, but how I saw my future before I went, and how I saw it when I came back and were very different. How could a mere and inoffensive family trip become such an important change in my life? The twilight of the trip, what a baloney; or so I thought. Everything began on Friday the 1rst of July in the Miami Bay, All the cruises where standing there; so majestuous and flawless, fearless of the vast ocean before ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What I didn't count on was the fact that I was going to be swimming among them in a special pool on the hotel. This pool has the form of an antique Maya temple, with an extensive toboggan at the top that passes right through the pool of sharks. That view while passing from inside the toboggan is one am never going to forget and how could I if this trip was being my first time in so many ways; It was my first time outside the U.S, also it was my first time on a cruise, and not to mention my first time swimming with sharks. The next element that called my attention was something called the White party, it consisted of a truly big party on the deck of the boat where every single person was supposed to dress in white and greed the captain and the crew. The next day we went to a private island, regardless to say that it had also been my first time on a private island, it was a paradise like place. We chose these two states because of the amount of distance between the two and because of the long adventures that could come along. Even though we know our destination we could not just get up and drive without formulating any type of preparation beforehand. Personally, the best way to fully succeed a non–stressful trip is to formulate everything you would need to know beforehand. Firstly, you will want to look ahead at the weather forecast to see if there is a chance of rain or colder weather. Second, you will need to dig out your luggage to start preparing for your trip. Third, you will need to find your swim suits, i would recommend bringing at least two if not more. Four you should start to think of what clothing you would like to pack. I personally would bring lots of summer clothes, but also a long pair of pants and a couple hoodies. Fifth, how many pairs of shoes are you planning on packing. You should have at least 3 pairs, one that is comfortable to walk in, a pair you don't mind getting wet and a back up pair. There are lots of stores in Mexico ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Narrative Essay On A Trip To Honduras Traveling can be enjoyable and frightening at the same time. Being from Honduras, my family would travel back in forth from the U.S. to Honduras every summer. Being able to experience living in two different cultures was a good experience and allowed for a more understanding approach of different societies and how the identity of the people living in those Society's is unique. My favorite part of traveling was when it was time to go to the airport and getting onto the airplane. For the most part I enjoyed the plane the most because as a kid I would always imagine was if it were a rise. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At first, the flight was normal and nothing out of the ordinary. Regularly, I would stare through the window as I saw the amazing views. The scariest thing about being on a plane was when you would look down and see how far up you are. As the long flight continued everything was good and the food was delicious. Everything was normal until there was weird noises that seemed to be coming from the aircraft. This understandably frightened a lot of passengers and myself due to the knowledge of risks that are taken when flying. You could hear the panic in the area as any passengers were calling the attendants, so they way ask them questions on what was going on. Sadly, I could hear in the tone of the attendant's voices that they were as clueless as we were. Eventually we were given some news on the situation. As word came from the pilots that there was an issue with one of the plane engines and that we should try and prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Being a child, I began to cry because of the fear surrounded me from the passengers and my family. However, what amazed me was how professional the flight attendants were throughout the whole flight. I have gone on these trips with my team every year and the time I spent with my team in Colorado makes up a large portion of my best memories of high school. The trip is mean to be an amalgam of challenges and fun experiences, and I feel like I can fully enjoy the entertaining parts of the trip because I know that I have also worked hard the remainder of the time. Driving in a van for hours to get to Colorado can get boring, but we usually find some way to make it fun with music and games that the team brings along. I have a deep love for space so star gazing in that valley is a great experience for me. Unfortunately, we are only in the valley one night before the team has to pile back into our vans and resume our trek to the mountains of Colorado. The first few runs in the mountains are rough; running at an altitude much higher than home with much less oxygen is a challenge. However, the altitude training pays off when we get home and in a strange way choking on a low oxygen atmosphere with your friends can be a bit of a bonding experience, not particularly comfortable, but bonding nonetheless. The 8 to 16 mile hikes we complete take hours, but we fill the time with chatting and photo taking and more music. There's also the tradition of seniors choosing "theme days" for the hikes where we all dress up in funny or creative costumes to match a theme. Next thing I knew it was March of 2015 and I was headed off to Haiti. Plans had changed but I could never have imagined what great impact this would have on my life. Haiti is not know for much but it is known for being poor. This might dissuade people from visiting, but for me it was exactly what I needed. We got to Haiti and even in the airport saw the people desperate for money to feed themselves and their families. We took a ten passenger plane up the mountain and as we flew we were able to see the poverty in the towns below. There were houses made up of four corner poles with a tin roofs. The destruction from the earthquake still had not been recovered from. In this moment I realized how fortunate I was to have not been in the earthquake as well as for simple things like four walls. Yellowtone Mission Trip Flashes of beautiful wildlife and unbelievable mountain ranges filled my eyes as our youth pastor showed us the destination of our next mission trip, Yellowstone National Park. I remember looking at these pictures and thinking there was nothing more I wanted to do than see this amazing wonder. I wanted to be fully one with nature and experience it with some of the people I loved most, my youth group. While planning for this trip, I had no idea that by the end of it I would have hiked eighteen miles into the deep backcountry of Yellowstone with a forty–two pound pack on my back. That I would have slept outside with only a simple tarp over my head and a can of bear spray by my pillow. That I would have helped remodel a dilapidated home so children living in extreme poverty could have a place of safe haven. That night, our exhausted group of eight slept under a tarp held up by a pole in the middle of a treeless field where buffalo hooves were imprinted into the ground. • 17. My Favorite School Field Trip Some people wouldn't think school could be fun. All that we do is learn. All field trips we go on are just educational and boring. Well some might be, but many can be fun. You would never think somewhere you've always wanted to go to would be your next field trip. Somewhere really fun. I have thought plenty of times in the past that I didn't want to go on the trip it was boring, but I was wrong and this is why. My first favorite school memory was in eighth grade. I was in chorus and we were going on a trip to Massachusetts with the band for a competition. I was super excited and couldn't wait to sell all of my tickets. When the day finally came I was so excited. We rode in a coach bus which was really cool because I've never been in one before. When we arrived in Massachusetts we headed over to where we were having the competition. The competition was being held at a really big school. We performed and sounded really good. I was super nervous I didn't want to mess up since I had never done that before. When we were finally done the competition we got our award handed to us and our tickets to get into Six Flags. We left the school and head off on our journey to Agawam, Massachusetts where Six Flags was located. As we got closer and closer there were flags on the side of the road leading us there and my anticipation grew even stronger. I couldn't wait to get there. Once we finally arrived everyone couldn't wait to get off the bus and have some fun. I was really excited. We got off the bus and had a really long walk to get into the park. There were no close parking spaces for the bus so we had to go all the way to the back parking lot and walk up to the entrance. Once I walked into the park it was so much bigger than any I expected. All the roller coasters were huge. I didn't get to go on any because everyone would ask me to hold their stuff but a couple things I did go on were the bumper cars, a water slide, a boat ride and I played some mini games. Those were fun enough for me but if I ever go back again I am going to try the roller coasters. The water slide was really fun. • 18. My Experience With My Family Trips "Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better" was an outlook I found within my research for this trip (Einstein). Family trips are always an interesting experience and sometimes hard to understand. Between the arguing and stress of packing, my family finds a way to get on the road quite often. However, the next trip planned arose a new level of anxiety. Until this trip, I have never traveled to a place far from society and slept within the pure darkness of the night. The adrenaline rush of hunting to find a safe space for shelter, hanging a bear bag, and climbing the cliffs of Red River Gorge was an experience I did not expect; however, my father, brother, two other family friends, and I conquered this expedition... The trip became more nerve racking as we made our last stop with civilization at the park ranger 's office. The ranger was very hopeful that we would not run into too many issues within our trip, however, I was not. He made it clear that we must take all bear precautions, even though he attempted to convince us there were no bears in the area. He also made it clear we must find high ground for camp due to weather concerns. Listening to his safety speech made me regret committing to this adventure. After gathering our packs and a map from the office, we approached the first trail. My shoes were tied, my pack was on securely, and I realized what we were actually about to do. The first couple of miles seemed easy because the trail was wide and the elevation was only increasing slowly. By the fourth mile, the trip began to change. My ten–year–old brother and his friend became tired and the elevation was dramatically increasing. The small wide hills became steep, narrow rocks. Scott took the lead to find safe footwork. This is when I regretted the forty–pound backpack. Using Scott's hand and a tree limb I pulled myself up an almost four–foot tall rock and then another. I turned around to look back at the rest of the group and realized I was only a couple inches away from falling off an eighteen–foot drop. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Yet it was still so appealing to me. It was everything I hoped for, and I was no less than ecstatic. My first trip to Japan and I had no idea what to expect, but at the same time I expected everything. This was my fourth attempt of going to Japan. I had tried many other times through various means such as competitions, or cultural enrichment programs. Each attempt was a new loss to me but the phrase "give up" wasn't in my thesaurus. Now I was on one of the biggest trips I could imagine courtesy of the Hiroshima Kenjin Kai, a group that was all about sticking to your roots and learning everything available about your history; this trip was the highest level of that achievable in my opinion. I could finally reap the fruits of my dedication to my wants, and at the same time learn about my family's geographical origin. This was a trip that showed the greater differences and similarities in culture and history than I was accustomed to. Things learned and accepted both in the classroom and from TV would be thrown out the window in favor of the things I saw and experienced in real life. It was a two week service trip in which we would be helping at medical clinics and building wheelchair ramps for a school for disabled kids. I went into the trip having no idea how much of an impact it would have on my life, and I definitely had no idea that I would create strong bonds with people I had never even met. I came out of this trip a different person, a better person. The night before we left for ecuador we were invited to spend the night at Renbrook. That night was the beginning to our bonding, we got pizza and watched a movie and everyone had a great time. Even though we had an early morning flight the next day, we still stayed up until 12 because we were having so much fun. The next morning was rough we had to wake up at 4 to drive to John F. Kennedy airport. We took two flights one to Columbia and then one to Ecuador. When we got to ecuador we first went to our hotel a small one but very nice considering we were in a third world country. For the next week we would be bonding, going on bike rides, walking in caves, and white water rafting. • 24. Descriptive Essay On My Winter Trip There's nothing better than streaming down a mountain filled with snow, ski tips pointed straight, and reaching a maximum velocity. For me, an annual ski trip in the mountains is an irreplaceable event. The only problem with these trips is living in Kansas. At best, I must travel 8 tedious hours by car to the West to obtain my ideal vacation. And the returntrip is even worse because the fun is over, your body and patience is exhausted, and you understand the long week of catching up on "to do" lists that will follow. Most often, the excitement of the trip far outweighs the tedious trip home, but in January of 2013, I might have been convinced otherwise as my trip home was filled with speeding tickets, car problems, cramped spaces, and almost six extra hours of travel. As my groups last day of skiing at Wolf Creek Ski Resort came to an end, we went to bed in good time in hopes of leaving very early the next morning for an equally early return to Newton. As the driver, I was diligently driving through the twisting and turning mountains with a purpose. For those who have driven in the mountains before, you are well aware of the difficulties of maintaining a constant speed through steep grades of terrain. And sure enough, almost 2 hours into our trip home, I see a highway patrolman make a U–Turn, flip on his lights, and I found myself pulling over my car. The town's development and interest in national matters is minimal and there is little regard for politics. Only a notable number of citizens have interests in technology and most of the town's population consists of old men and women. The fabric that holds the town together is a specific type of culture whereby most parents adhere to conservative parenting. Even at school, not everything is done like any other school in the country. The program is rather slow, whereby not everyone attends class every day and especially during summer seasons like this, we are allowed free breaks regularly. Together with my friends Jay and Kevin, we structured a plan for a road trip outside town. Ideas like these usually pop out in our conversations, but never once had we been able to make them happen. This was our lucky day since the plan directly fit to the free break the school principal had allowed due to the surging heat in that Friday afternoon. So we came to the conclusion that we would take a five day trip and that we would go old school and just camp for a week. • 34. Mission Trip Analysis Three years ago I went to the Cumberland mountains of Tennessee. June came more quickly than I had planned. Before I knew it, it was time to go on my mission trip. Twelve hours of driving seemed like it took forever. During that twelve hour drive, I thought a lot about what I had imagined the week would be like. I knew it would take hard work and an open mind. Those twelve hours finally came to an end, we were in the mountains of Tennessee. I had mixed emotions that was going through as we settled into our cabins and looked around the camp site. It was definitely overwhelming when more church groups arrived, but I had to keep in mind that I needed to have an open mind about the week. Monday morning came in a flash. We fueled up with breakfast before we... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our YRG arrived at the work site we were sent to. We realized that this area we were working in was suffering. The town had poverty all over and it seemed like it was in bad conditions. Even though we saw that, it made me more excited to work on something because I knew whoever we were doing it for they would be thrilled to see something new. That day we met an elderly lady that had been living in this community all her life. As the week went on with building a ramp and painting, I had a better chance to get to know her. We talked about the community, interests we had, joys, and so much more in just little time. Thursday came too quick. That night for worship we had a time to let God come in and remember why Jesus died for us. It was a time to be with our church group and a time for tears throughout the whole camp. That night it was emotional, but warming. Through the tears, I thought about what the elderly lady had told me. She reminded me that the things that we complain isn't as important as something that someone is suffering through. The community we had been in was one that was suffering with insurance an financially. She reminded me that we should be thankful for all the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Brazil Mission Trip My Mission Trip to Brazil Ahh to be back in Brazil with the sun, water, and breeze. It was like that sometimes but sometimes we were working, we meaning my family, the Gales(missionary friends), and myself. We flew to Sao Paulo, Brazil, Spring break of 5th grade, with a purpose of sharing the gospel. It was a very different experience with cultural differences such as food, gestures, and traditions. Did you know that if you come to something on time that it is considered rude? It was also different because there they speak Brazilian Portuguese but it was fun and interesting trying to have a conversation. Brazil was a beautiful place. When you a imagine a tropical island or crystal water that is what it looked like. A home we visited had fruit trees in the back with many different fruits such as mangoes and starfruit. They were the best mangos I've ever had. The whole trip was just something you would imagine and not think you would ever actually see. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When we were there we visited the Guarani Indians on their reservation. It was an eye–opening experience. They had very harsh living conditions with no shoes and trash and feces everywhere. One hut we went into had one mattress with about ten children that slept on it, but the government thought it was good to supply them with a tv. In the back a woman was boiling plants as a medicine for a sick child. Most homes were like this even if the children in them weren't theirs. They were open to hearing about the gospel especially after we gave all of the kids goodie bags. In the school the children even sang us a song in their own Guarani ... • 36. Florida Trip Driving from Newton Kansas all the way to Orlando Florida isn't the easiest thing you know. It's long and doesn't come with a lot of stops if you're having to do it with my parents. The trip itself is around a 20 hour drive but when you include stops and everything together it comes around to be a 24 hour drive. This doesn't sound like fun and you're very right if you're thinking this. The trip is for sure worth it though, we were going to "The Magic Kingdom". The place where kids that kids are super energetic and just want to finally meet Mickey Mouse. This was my first time ever going so of course i was excited and just wanted to be there already. We left our house on an early morning probably around 4 A.M so we could have an early start to the day. The night before this trip I didn't sleep at all so I could try and make the trip as short as I possibly could, sleeping was basically my only thing to do. Once our SUV was loaded and ready to go we hit the road and started our journey. Waking up to your sister moving your leg so she can get more comfortable isn't the most settle way to start your day. It was around 10 9 A.M when I had been woken up from my beauty sleep and I was not happy. "Why'd you wake me up you asshole I was sleeping!" is exactly what I said to her when she did this. My parents weren't too happy about this comment that had came out of my mouth so they made me sit up so she could lay down and get more comfortable. This was already enough for me ... This orphanage is located in the heart of San Lukas, Guatemala and once one arrives they will see this is an establishment truly touched by the hand of God. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One game normally played by the kids is "futbol" or commonly known to most Americans as soccer. No matter who it is they cannot resist playing this simple yet challenging game of soccer with the kids who spend countless hours running up and down the old and worn down concrete soccer field. Fortunately soccer is not the only activity carried out in Casa Shalom, nevertheless there are also bingo nights, capture the flag, and arts & crafts. Through these games one gets to see the pure hearts of these children, time and time again. An example of how beautiful the children's hearts are is when it was time for the child to go up on stage to receive their prize they gave it to one of their beloved new mission team friends. That act of kindness is so special because these children do not have much, yet they still openly give their gifts to the people they love. One of the many benefits of these games is as the team carries out the activities they get to learn the names of the children. What a sight it is to see kids with the biggest, brightest smile on their faces when a team member remembers their name. • 38. Personal Narrative: My Trip To Wisconsin Personal Narrative My trips to Wisconsin were very fantastic. Both times we went were for weddings. My mother jokingly called them "The Weddings of the Century." They might not have been the weddings of the century, but they were very extravagant. Before the first wedding, we went to the Jelly Belly distribution factory. While we were there, we got to go on a tour and taste all the different flavors of Jelly Belly jelly beans. That is when I fell in with Jelly Belly jelly beans. We also went to a deli/Italian grocery store called Tenuta's. Tenuta's is like heaven on earth! It's a fairly small building packed to the brim with all kinds of food including, escargot, squid and squid ink noodles. Also, almost half of it is a deli where you can get the most delicious sandwiches there. We also went to a cheese castle where they sold all kinds of cheese and some kinds of honey. While there, I goofed around with my little cousins, Hank and Davis. The next day, all of the girls went on a shopping spree. Us boys went to a awesome restaurant called AJ Bombers. There... She dipped her finger in her water and ran it around the rim of the glass saying it would make a high pitched noise. Instead, something else happened. C–r–r–a–a–a–s–s–h–h–h! Went the glass as it shattered. Water went everywhere, but we didn't really care because it was hilatious. The food was amazing. I had filet mignon, which is basically a really fancy steak. The desserts were the best. There were lots of delectable desserts with chocolate. My favorite were the miniature cups of chocolate with fruit, such as raspberries and blackberries, on ...
