In today's world, with all the technology that is readily available, finding information that is credible
can pose a challenge. With social media and everything being online, it seems as if anyone from
everywhere can post whatever they want, whether it is deemed to be accurate or not. In using the
topic of national debt in the United States as a guide, I was able to analyze plausible sources and
compare them to inaccurate sources. Journalist, Brandon Greife, in his article, "Liberals are Losing
the National Debt Argument," elaborates on the topic of what liberals are accomplishing when it
comes to national debt but his purpose is to tell readers about how liberals are going about doing
that and voice his opinions on why he thinks it is the wrong way. Throughout his article, he
expresses a biased tone to convey his feelings on the topic. On the other hand, businessman, Tony
Robbins, in his video, "The National Debt Decoded," discusses the national debt of the United
States. Robbins' purpose is to inform listeners on the topic of national debt and challenge them on
what some of the solutions should be. He adopts a matter–of–fact tone in order to display the
problems that the United States is facing in his fellow American citizens. Of the sources that I
reviewed, the video by Robbins is the most reliable source because viewers are able to understand
what he is saying throughout his presentation and his diction.

The very first page is well displayed; it contains popular franchise information. The magazine takes
a step by step approach to guide an individual with general topics like "How to start up and build a
business". It seems like editor has no bias towards the information presented. The emphasis of this
magazine is on the presenting more information about a product rather then just giving the monitory
figures.
The color and layout of the magazine is very simple and professional. Editor shows concern of
misleading ads and puts emphasis on starting small. Towards the middle of the magazine in which
he presents a simple but very well laid out table of the popular franchises, with topics like
demographics, startup cost and brief introduction of the provider. In the last part of the magazine
editor has put together a list of other sources and publication to inform and pursue readers to
research more rather have them jump to conclusion by just looking at inflated figures.
In conclusion, I have found that both of these magazines are very different and appeals to different

There will be times in life that knocks you down so hard that you feel as if you don't have the
strength to get back up. It is all about how you handle the situations that show just how strong you
truly are. All my life I have been a victim of bullying. Every time the bullies came to me I acted
strong but once I got home I would lock myself in my bedroom for hours crying asking God what
have I done wrong, and why me. The bullying had gotten so bad that it had led up to depression. I

My first informative speech was successful I would say. The topic I chose was Sephora and it was
easy to do because I am interested in it. I did not have many problems looking up information or
struggle to stay interested because Sephora is a very unique store/brand. It always makes doing

involved or immediately interested in your topic can be hard, but by researching and knowing your

Soccer. fast moving, strategy, competitive, I loved those aspects in the game. In the month of March,
when all the soccer tryouts began, I decided to try out for an older team which was 2 years older–my
brother's team– just for fun. I went out on the day of the trial and surprisingly, I made the team.
Feeling as if I had won the million dollar lottery, filled with excitement, on the side with fear

Should school start at 7:00 or should it start later in the morning? In Douglas High School, start
times are at 7:30 in the morning. Changing the school schedule to a later start time would result in
many other changes affecting a lot of people. According to the National Sleep Foundation, "The
change will affect the entire community, from students and parents to businesses, libraries, police,
youth sports clubs, bus drivers and many others." Altering the school schedule would influence
numerous aspects of people's lives. Highly coordinated routines would have to be changed and

It may still be hard for me to start a piece of writing, but like I said, once I start I can't stop. I believe
that with every experience someone has, whether it is in or out of the class, it will always effect the
way that person portrays his or her writing, such as myself.
Exploration one had a major impact on the way I have been perceiving things and portraying them
in my writing. It gave me an insight into how my writing has been effected by my prior experiences.

In many parts of the article, I will either include a lot of my own analysis or a lot of quotes from
other articles. I need to find a perfect balance between the two so i have the perfect amount of my
own work and analysis and the evidence I need to include in order to justify my analysis. Another
weakness I think is the way I cite my sources. I'm not completely sure the best way to cite my
source. I know that I need to have a works cited part but I struggle with incorporating my citation
into the actual text. Some strengths that I have are my organization. I was able to split my article
into separate sections and each section describes a different factor that students should take account

A completely different approach from battles in the past was that in World War I, civilians became a
new target. When Germany would invade a country, the troops would attack civilians and even
imprison them (Audoin–Rouzeau & Becker 45). These prisoners of war were then put into camps on
German territory and because of the blockade against Germany created by Britain to lessen their
resources; the prisoners were being "deprived" of food (Audoin–Rouzeau & Becker 62). German
military would even use the prisoners in battles, turning them into "human shields" for protection

Summer was slowly coming to an end; it was almost time for school to start back. I enjoyed my
summer by spending time with family and friends. My family used to always tell us this saying that

The illness has taken its first life and people are starting to panic. By this point the crew has done all
they can do to get the repairs done pushing them self to exhaustion. The nurses and helpers are
tenting to all the patients and distributing the vaccine as fast as possible and to the right patients. I

Rhonda the nurse is doing a great job taking care of the patients. She might be rude and angry at
times but when you don't get much sleep and are working so hard with patients that are constantly
whining and bugging you trying to get something out of you that you cant give them, yeah your

March, when all the soccer tryouts began, I decided to try out for an older team, which was 2 years
older –my brother's team– just for fun. I went out on the day of the trial and surprisingly, I made the
