Makeup

2. Costume Designer
– Works with director in understanding the concept of the show
– Designs the costumes, including participation in the selection
and purchasing of fabrics and other materials.
– Appointed by the director
– Works with the costume mistress / master and costume crew
to see that the design is executed properly.
– Attends various meetings with the director prior to
finalization of design.
– Attends technical rehearsal, dress rehearsals, and other
rehearsals as needed.

3. Makeup Designer
– Works with director in understanding the concept of the show
– Designs specific makeup effects and plan makeup for all
characters
– Appointed by the director.
– Works with makeup crew to see that design is executed
properly.
– Purchases specialty makeup supplies not contained in regular
makeup inventory as needed for specific production.
– Attends meetings with the director prior to finalization of
design.
– Attends makeup rehearsal, and other rehearsals and
performances as needed.

4. Wardrobe Custodian
– Is responsible for the security and maintenance of our inventory
of all costumes, wigs, and makeup.
– Supervises the use of the costume shop
– Monitors use of make up supplies and purchases more as
needed.
– Is responsible for providing keys or access to assigned directors,
costume designers, wardrobe mistresses / masters to our
inventory.
– Is a resource to Costume Designers, Wardrobe Mistresses /
Masters and the technical design team.
– Responsible for budgetary line items in regard to storage,
costume, and makeup needs.
– Handles all costume rentals in accordance with theatre policy.

5. Costume Mistress / Master & Crew
– Works with the costume designer and Wardrobe Custodian
to execute the design for the production.
– Takes from our inventory, constructs, rents, buys, borrows,
or otherwise obtains all costumes for the production.
– Works with cast for fittings.
– May provide assistance to cast members in making changes
between scenes.
– Responsible for maintaining and cleaning costumes during
and after the production and for their return at the
conclusion.
– Appointed by the Director and / or Wardrobe Custodian

6. Makeup Running Crew
– Works with the makeup designer to execute
specified makeup designs.
– Attend rehearsals as needed including technical and
dress rehearsals, as well as performances.
– Appointed by the director, makeup designer or
production assistant.
