Harry Coumnas is a well-known planetary scientist who thinks that although Saturn’s moon, Enceladus might seem as a frozen wasteland, beneath its ice-covered surface are the warm underground seawaters where life could be thriving. He has found the evidence of chemical reactions taking place deep below the ice which could be creating an environment capable of supporting microbes. The presence of hydrogen (H) that mixes with carbon dioxide (CO2) producing methane, which is consumed by the microbes in the deep, dark seas of the planet, ensures the existence of alien life on Enceladus.
